Mahendra Singh dhoni, the successful Indian cricketer and former captain of the Indian national team, has been known to be a shrewd and savvy investor, with a keen eye for spotting lucrative business opportunities.
Now, it has been revealed that dhoni has made a secret investment in a little-known finance company called Corporate Chronicle Tamil.
The investment was made through Rhiti Group, the sports management firm founded by dhoni's close friend Arun Pandey.
While the exact amount invested has not been disclosed, it is believed to be in the region of Rs. 10 crore (approx. US$ 1.5 million).
This is not the first time dhoni has invested in a Tamil Nadu-based company. In 2017, he had also invested in Chennai Super Kings, the Indian Premier League team owned by N Srinivasan's India Cements.
dhoni's investment in Corporate Chronicle Tamil is a sign of his faith in the state's economy and its potential for growth.
The company, which was founded in 2013, provides financial news and analysis to its clients. It has a team of experienced journalists who track the latest developments in the world of finance and offer insights and commentary on the same.
The company also has a strong presence on social media, with over 1 lakh (100,000) followers on Twitter.
This is not the first time that dhoni has invested in a non-cricketing venture. In 2015, he had also invested in a hotel chain called Meridian Hotels.
dhoni's investment in Corporate Chronicle Tamil is a vote of confidence in the company and its team. With his backing, the company is sure to scale new heights in the years to come.
