Looking to add a personal touch to your home dĂ©cor? Or maybe youâre searching for a unique gift for a friend or family member? Whatever the reason, diy candles are a great option! Not only are they beautiful, but theyâre also easy and fun to make.
To get started, youâll need a few supplies. First, youâll need some wax. You can use any type of wax, but soy wax is a great option because itâs eco-friendly and burns clean. Youâll also need some wicks, a candle mold, and some fragrance oil.
Once you have your supplies, itâs time to get started! Begin by melting your wax in a double boiler. Once the wax is melted, remove it from the heat and stir in your fragrance oil. Then, carefully pour the wax into your mold, being sure to not fill it all the way to the top. Next, add your wicks to the mold, making sure theyâre centered.
Now comes the hard part â waiting! Allow your candles to cool and harden for at least 6 hours, or overnight if possible. Once theyâre solidified, remove them from the mold and trim the wicks.
And thatâs it! Youâve now made your very own diy candles from scratch. Enjoy them yourself or give them away as gifts. Just be sure to light them in a well-ventilated area and never leave them unattended.
