Adventure solo: Pork legs salad spice braised tasty for food in forest - Survival cooking in forest

When it comes to adventure food, there are few things more delicious than braised pork legs. This dish is not only incredibly tasty, but it is also relatively easy to make, making it the perfect meal for those who are looking to spice up their solo dining experience.

To begin, you will need to gather a few ingredients. For the pork legs, you will need:

-2 pork legs

-1 onion

-1 carrot

-1 celery stalk

-1 cup of chicken broth

-1 tablespoon of olive oil

-2 tablespoons of flour

-2 teaspoons of salt

-1 teaspoon of black pepper

For the salad, you will need:

-1 head of lettuce

-1 tomato

-1 cucumber

-1 red onion

-1 cup of croutons

-1/2 cup of shredded cheese

-1/2 cup of your favorite salad dressing

First, you will need to braise the pork legs. To do this, heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the pork legs and cook for about 5 minutes per side, or until they are browned.

Next, add the onion, carrot, celery, and chicken broth. Bring the mixture to a simmer and then let cook for about 2 hours, or until the pork legs are cooked through.

Once the pork legs are cooked, remove them from the pot and let them cool. Once they are cool enough to handle, shred the meat from the bones and set it aside.

To make the salad, simply combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl and mix together. Once everything is evenly mixed, add the shredded pork and mix together again.

Serve the salad on a bed of lettuce and enjoy!
