Sport max I'm sitting with Christiana

Fisher the president and CEO of AXA Art

Insurance Corporation thank you so much

for joining us today thank you for

having me tell us a little bit about the

mission for art that AXA art insurance

has as a specialty insurer in the in the

art world we're very focused on the

community in which we do business I

personally think and we as a company

think that being involved in the

community in which you do business makes

a good business sense and be supports

the communities that supports you in

return it's being part of the community

to you to business and you have to give

back to the community and we do this in

various forms we give every two years a

substantial grant for conservation

research to major institutions around

the world in the past these grants were

given to the Metro the Museum of Modern

Art the Guggenheim Museum the Vitra

Design Museum in Germany and the latest

was the Tate Modern in in England and

we're just about to announce the new

recipient of the next research grant in

a couple of weeks in addition to the

research grants we give artists grants

to support young and emerging artists we

also collaborate to collaborate with

artists in various fashions for example

as sponsor of the major art fields

around the world we collaborate with

artists to take over over lounge and do

whatever creative project they want to

do with the lounge how do you how do you

go about the artist grants and and the

showcasing of the artists at the actual

art fairs the artist grants are

straightforward grants it's a $25,000

grant without any strings attached that

goes to an emerging artist and we we

usually collaborate with an established

artist and we ask the established artist

to name a finalist for us and this is

how we come this is how the the winner

is determined and you recently

the art dealers Association of America

affair and you have other fairs coming

up that you're sponsoring we're the

major sponsor of the old master Fair in

Maastricht the tatha fair we're also a

major sponsor of at Basel and at Basel

Miami Beach as well as the International

Photography Fair which will happen in

two weeks here in New York and

sponsoring 26 of the most important art

fairs every year or every other year

depending on the schedule do you have an

interest in sponsoring other events or

collaborating and does it go outside the

Art Fair focus yes it does very much so

we for example are a corporate partner

of the American dealer Association and

we're supporting their collectors forums

that they're holding about four times a

year we also sponsor symposiums that

have an educational value we like

subjects that either educate people

bring people together further the unders

understanding of either an artist or a

medium or a grouping it can our support

can take various forms and we're open to

all ideas and entertain all ideas that

people might have so it's constantly

evolving and yes and changing along with

the art world the the themes that were

interesting and interested in is

creativity collaboration

artistic achievements in in the spec

generally you can find anywhere in the

art world in the design world in the ink

architectural environment it sounds like

an ambitious endeavor thank you so much
