7 Things NOT to do in ICELAND! (Part 2) #shocking #travel #culture

If you thought iceland was all rainbows and unicorns, think again! Here are 7 more things NOT to do while in iceland:

1. Don't take a dip in the Blue Lagoon without first reading the warning signs

The Blue Lagoon is one of iceland's most popular tourist attractions, but it's also one of the most dangerous. The lagoon is actually a man-made reservoir that contains highly concentrated sulphuric acid, which can cause severe burns if you're not careful.

2. Don't try to pet the icelandic horses

The icelandic horse is a national symbol of iceland, but that doesn't mean you should try to pet them. These horses are wild and can be dangerous if they feel threatened.

3. Don't hike on a glacier without a guide

Hiking on a glacier can be a thrilling experience, but it's also extremely dangerous. Glaciers are constantly moving and changing, and if you're not careful you could easily get lost or injured. Always hike with a qualified guide who knows the area well.

4. Don't drive off-road

Driving off-road is strictly forbidden in iceland. The country's landscape is fragile and easily damaged, so stick to the roads to avoid damaging the environment.

5. Don't buy souvenirs made from whale or seal products

Whale and seal hunting is a controversial practice in iceland, and buying souvenirs made from these animals only encourages it. If you want to buy a souvenir, make sure it's not made from whale or seal products.

6. Don't drink the water from the tap

The water in iceland is safe to drink, but it has a strong sulphuric taste that some people find unpleasant. If you don't like the taste of the tap water, buy bottled water instead.

7. Don't forget to pack your warm clothes

Even in summer, the weather in iceland can be cold and unpredictable. Make sure you pack plenty of warm clothes so you'll be prepared for any weather conditions.
