With all the options available, finding the best free VPN seems simple; but finding one that's actually trustworthy…not so much. Today I’ll show you a closer look at the 3 best free VPN providers and what value they'll bring to your online experience.

----------------------------------------

🔎 Best Free VPN - Atlas VPN

Security-wise, they have the latest encryption and a no-logs policy. This basically just means that no one can see what you’re doing online or collect your data. So if you’re looking for a VPN, free of charge, just to add that extra layer of protection to your device, Atlas VPN is a nice option to consider.

While AtlasVPN is still a decent free VPN for PC, they do cap you off with a monthly 5GB limit. That, plus the fact that you won’t have access to their Safebrowse feature or an unlimited number of devices, makes it a pretty restrictive choice.

----------------------------------------

🔧 protonvpn

Alright, next up is protonvpn. I was most impressed by how much security they offer, even in their free version. Not only do they include the kill switch option, like Atlas VPN, but they also provide you with a convenient split tunneling feature. This allowed me to customize which browsers my VPN was active on, so I had flexible internet access at all times.

All in all, it is a secure free option, yet, my biggest gripe with the free plan is you have access to just one device. And, to remove this, you'd have to upgrade, but I've gotta say their premium plans are steep, so it wouldn't be first on my list of premium suggestions. Plus, it’s worth noting that they have pretty slow customer service response times, so it may not be the best option for beginners.

----------------------------------------

🔧 Hotspot Shield

This brings me to my next free VPN suggestion, Hotspot Shield, which sadly doesn’t offer any customer support at all with their free plans. They’re actually a good option for anyone looking to access more US servers for free, considering they offer the most server options. Aside from that, though, they’re a bit limited on included features.

If you do decide to try the upgraded version, you’ll finally get to unlock great features like streaming services, global coverage, and a useful password manager. Even with that being said, I am still quite disappointed in the app layout. The Mac version is completely missing the split-tunneling feature, plus it doesn’t allow you to download the Aura antivirus app for some reason.

⚠️ Alternatively - Most Affordable Premium - NordVPN

So yeah, while most free VPNs do offer at least a basic layer of protection and privacy, the overall lack of variety means you never get to experience how much of a game-changer VPNs really are. What I really appreciate is their top-notch security, excellent connection speeds, and of course, access to geo-blocked streaming services like Netflix, HBO Max, and so on. With 24/7 customer support, it is fit for any beginner, and yet, thousands of server options in over 60 countries mean any experienced user shouldn’t feel limited or bump into server overloading that often. Plus, their plans are affordable, so if after 30 days you feel like sticking around, it’s an inexpensive option.

Final thoughts ➡️

Before I finish up this best free VPNs video, remember all free VPNs are going to have pros and cons, but the important thing is choosing which one suits your lifestyle best. AtlasVPN is nice for daily use, while Proton has decent security, and Hotspot Shield has a variety of US servers accessible without payment information.

you know with a plethora of options out

there you would think finding the best

free VPN would be simple but finding one

that's actually trustworthy oh not so

much

all right today we're gonna take a

closer look at the three best free VPN

providers and what value they can bring

to your online experience so first up we

have Atlas VPN which might be the best

everyday option thanks to their

practical balance between security speed

and features okay security wise they

have the latest encryption and a no logs

policy which basically just means that

no one can see what you're doing online

not even the people that work there or

collect your data so if you're looking

for a VPN free of charge just to add an

extra layer of protection to your device

then Atlas VPN is a nice option to

consider and I think we can all

appreciate their Nifty kill switch

feature you know just in case our

connections ever suddenly drop out yep

it'll disable the connection and prevent

our IPS from being leaked should there

be any connection issues now remember

with the free VPN version you'll only

have access to three server options

located in Los Angeles New York and

Amsterdam and yes this is a huge

limitation in the VPN world but at least

Atlas vpn's download speeds were

actually impressive plus the connection

remained fairly strong the whole time I

was browsing unfortunately the free

version is not capable of unlocking any

streaming platforms so if you're looking

for a free VPN for Netflix this may not

be the best option and you know to be

honest at this point it's nearly

impossible to find a free VPN that

actually does allow streaming however

you might be happy to know that they're

one of the few providers who offers

torrenting as part of their free plan

yay torrenting okay while Atlas VPN is

still a decent free VPN for PC they do

have a monthly five gigabyte limit that

plus the fact that you won't have access

to their safe browse feature or coverage

for an unlimited number of devices makes

it a pretty restrictive option alright

next up is proton VPN I was impressed by

how much security they offer even in

their free version not only do they

include the kill switch option like

Atlas VPN but they also provide you with

a convenient split tunneling feature now

this allows me to customize which

browsers my VPN was active on so I had

flexible internet access at all times

while proton vpn's Premium plan has

summoned pretty impressive speeds you're

gonna find that their free version will

be slower in general and have a slight

lag now this is because the free version

only gives you access to three countries

while the upgrade has over 1800 servers

in 66 countries quite an upgrade

now even though proton VPN does offer a

range of apps for both desktop and

mobile I did notice the layout

appearance varied quite a bit but hey at

least it's available for systems like

Windows Mac OS Linux Android and iOS

this then add in the fact that it's open

source and has been audited and well

you're looking at one of the most

privacy friendly free VPN for mac and

windows options there is so yeah all in

all it's a good secure free option but

my biggest gripe with the free plan is

that you only have access to it on one

device and to change that you have to

upgrade but I gotta say their premium

plans are steep so it's not gonna be

first on my list of Premium suggestions

plus it is worth noting that they have

pretty slow customer service response

times so may not be the best option for

you beginners out there okay all this

brings me to my next free VPN suggestion

Hotspot Shield which sadly doesn't offer

any customer support at all with their

free plans

oh well but they're actually a good

option for anyone looking to access more

us servers for free considering that

they offer the most server options aside

from that though they're a bit limited

on the included features despite the

free plan only having a basic layer of

Standard Security I will say that I was

glad to see that they don't require you

to create an account or enter any

payment information in order to install

it very kind of you but if you're in the

market for the best free VPN 2023 has to

offer and solely for security reasons

Hotspot Shield still may not be the most

effective option sorry unlike our two

previous VPN providers they collect user

logs and lack overall transparency about

their security measures that combined

with the fact that they've had some

privacy issues in the past makes them an

iffy security option no go but as far as

those speeds go will Hotspot Shield VPN

isn't too generous with its free users

either I noticed that while using the

paid version the speed went all the way

up to around 290 megabytes however the

free version knocked it way down to just

a few megabytes this greatly affected my

browsing experience while using it and

the fact that you're only allotted 600

megabytes per day makes it a very

limited VPN Choice even if it is free

but hey if you do decide to try the

upgraded version you'll finally get to

unlock some great features like

streaming services Global coverage and a

useful password manager and yet I'm

still disappointed in the app layout the

Mac version is completely missing the

split tunneling feature plus it doesn't

allow you to download the aura antivirus

app for some reason yeah it's still a

decent free VPN for Windows 10 but not

so much for Mac users now that aside I

did find it to be one of the best free

VPN for Android options since it does

include both split tunneling and some

extras like the disconnect on sleep

feature so yeah While most free vpns do

offer at least a basic layer of

protection and privacy the overall lack

of variety means you never get to

experience how much of a Game Changer

vpns can really be so my advice try out

nordvpn which in my experience is one of

the highest quality providers totally

risk-free for an entire month and it

even comes with a 30 day money back

guarantee so nothing to lose now here

you've got top-notch security excellent

connection speeds and even access to

geoblock streaming services you know

like Netflix HBO Max Hulu and the like

with 24 7 customer support it's a good

fit for any beginner and with thousands

of server options over 60 countries even

more experienced users aren't going to

feel limited or bump into any server

overloading issues very often plus their

plans currently started around four

bucks a month so if after 30 days you

feel like sticking around well yeah

still an affordable option now I've

actually left some exclusive discounts

in the description for you and remember

if you end up changing your mind about

the nordvpn free trial you can just

easily cancel it right okay before I

finish up this best free VPN video

remember all free vpns are going to have

their pros and their cons but the

important thing is choosing which one

best suits your lifestyle

Atlas VPN is nice for daily use while

proton has decent security and Hot Spot

Shield has a variety of us servers

accessible without any payment

information and sure these are an okay

way to dip your toe into the VPN Waters

but the nordvpn free trial elevates your

online experience to the next level it

provides maximum security and protection

for your device plus access to streaming

services and torrenting but hey let me

know in the comments if you've ever

tried out a VPN before and if so what

was your experience like also you are

not going to want to forget those

special deals in the description box

that we've left for you trust me they

are exclusive for you alright that's all

I've got for this one I'll see you in

the next one
