the course has offered a variety of

different opportunities and experiences

that have kind of given me a direction i

want to go into after uni within about

two months of being at uni i managed to

get on a team that volunteered at

twickenham an international rugby game

and then since then i was lucky enough

to go to new zealand on a placement as

well so i was out there for two months

um working within a business for a month

and then had the opportunity to travel

around as well and and um yeah see a

place i've never seen before

which placements i have been involved

with over the past few years at

university have included an internship

at the olympic games i started out as an

administrator and then worked my way up

towards an assistant venue manager and

that was a fantastic experience working

at greenwich park for the equestrian

event

a company came into our lectures and

presented about opportunity to go and

coach in america so i went over to work

in northern california for eight weeks

as a summer coach

and at the time of my life and i ended

up moving down

as a full-time coach to los angeles

where i spent a year you'd usually tend

to associate courses with essay writing

whereas on my course we've done a

variety of things such as conducting

workshops and working with

businesses in the real world our course

is really innovative

so we've got modules where technology is

used and i found that brilliant so we

have facebook groups that are monitored

by a lecturer

for me i really liked having online

lectures where it's been like an online

chat there's plenty of things to do

around sport which is something that i

really enjoy but then as well as that

you've got

plenty of facilities here in the city

and down at headingley as well so

there's a big variety it's been great

being able to turn up to the sports

centre with my friends and i have such

great facilities at our disposal

for example we could turn up on a sunday

and we'd got a full three 3g football

pitch that we can play on these the

grass pictures are brilliant so when

i've had coaching courses it's been

great being out there in the sun

the gym is fantastic so there is some

great facilities for us to use
