8:13 Conclusion

What sets Perimeter 81 apart from other regular VPNs? Well, for starters, it’s not for personal use. Perimeter 81 stands on its own as a corporate tool, tailored to be the best business VPN 2022. It’s designed to securely connect a user to the Internet or a company’s network.

================

📱 Features:

================

A good business VPN should start by having safe access to everything. 2fa is an important extra layer of security, especially when we’re talking about safekeeping sensitive data. And not only was I able to set up an SMS security code, I also found that they support Google Authenticator and Duo Security app.

But, let’s say I want to keep a few apps separate from the workplace network - for that, split tunneling is an already known trick. However, Perimeter 81 business VPN handles it a bit differently from what I’m used to - instead of applications and sites, it works through choosing subnets.

There’s also Device Posture check, which ensures that only approved devices can gain network access. You can also require a certain encryption status or a certificate - up to you.

Next, I reaped the benefits of utilizing user management. Of course, I’ve only played around with it, tried blocking the whole network from accessing Facebook. Which, surely - worked, but that’s only a drop in the ocean of possibilities. You can create user groups and assign different permissions, block certain content, IPs or domains. You can also edit each individual user profile. Turn on the kill switch, enable 2fa, reset passwords and many more. I’m honestly impressed by how much freedom this cybersecurity tool gives.

================

🔑 Security:

================

Perimeter 81 is a cloud VPN and like most other big names, it uses an AES-256 cipher. I also absolutely love knowing that no third party has access to my data, not even the cloud provider itself.

As for tunneling protocols, it’s got all the good ones. Wireguard, which is both secure and speedy; OpenVPN, a standard option that many are familiar with; and IKEv2, my choice for mobile devices. It offers a good stability and security combo - that truly helps since I constantly switch between wifi and data.

================

🚀 Performance:

================

With the UK private gateway, download speeds decreased to a mere 2.7% - right up there with the top VPN providers. In the west of the US I got around 60 Mbps upload speed using WireGuard, that’s quite impressive. And, with the same location I was able to get around 240 Mbps download. I have to stress this, all of that is with Wireguard protocol, if you want to use the other two, expect a significant drop in speed.

But overall - three of the best tunneling protocols and good speeds - Perimeter 81 business review yields pretty good results so far.

================

💲 Pricing:

================

If you’re used to personal VPNs, this.. looks kinda different. First, there’s a minimum number of users. Starting from five users, for under 10$ a month each - but you do need to buy at least one private gateway, which makes the cheapest price around $100/month. Premium and Premium Plus expands on the list, with the most feature-packed option being Enterprise. To put it simply, if you're a security-enthusiast, the higher tier business plans are really impressive. Especially with DNS filtering, single sign-on capabilities and more.

All in all though, the fact that it’s not a one-fits-all kind of deal, gives a nice flexibility to get the best option that fits your business.

================

⚖️ Conclusion:

================

So, is Perimeter 81 truly worthy of the best business VPN 2022 title? Keeping in mind that it’s fast, secure, easily scalable and has many business focused features - my answer is yes.

finding a reliable and robust business

vpn can be quite the challenge but it's

not impossible today let's do a

perimeter 81 review to see if it's good

enough great enough or just enough

in this video we're going to take a look

at what perimeter 81 is its most notable

features and most importantly is it

worth the cost

[Music]

here at cyber news we've reviewed a lot

and i mean a lot of vpns some are great

for streaming others great at protecting

your privacy so what pray tell sets

perimeter 81 apart well for starters

it's not for personal use nope perimeter

81 stands on its own as a corporate tool

no not a brad but a commercial product

designed to be a great business vpn in

2022

see it's designed to securely connect a

user to the internet or a computer's

network so yeah essentially it works the

same way creating an encrypted

connection between a device and a user

under the surface however you'll find

more than just the business essentials

we're talking dedicated servers secure

access to business web apps convenient

user management network-based split

tunneling and some other more impressive

features but maybe we should just dive a

little deeper here okay look a good

business vpn should start by having safe

access to everything in 2fa two-factor

authentication is an important extra

layer of that security especially when

we're talking about safekeeping

sensitive data and not only was i able

to set up an sms security code well i

also found that they support google

authenticator and the duo security app

it's great to have those options

dedicated servers and dedicated ip

addresses are also really nice to have

they create an exclusive bubble to keep

any unwanted visitors at bay

super useful whenever you're working

from home i noticed i had full access to

everything i could possibly need as well

okay but let's say i need to keep a few

apps separate from the workplace network

well for that split tunneling is the

perfect way to do it however perimeter

81 business vpn handles it a little bit

differently from what we're used to

instead of applications and sites it

works through choosing subnets but hey

as long as it does the job i got no

problem with it thumbs up there's also

this device posture check which ensures

that only approved devices can gain

network access i like knowing that

anyone who joins the network already has

an antivirus installed so i've set that

up but you can also require certain

encryption status or certificates it's

up to you next up the perks of this user

management system of course i've only

played around a little bit here trying

to block the whole network from

accessing facebook which

worked but that's only a drop in the

ocean of possibilities here you can

create user groups and assign different

permissions block certain content ips or

domains you can also edit each

individual user profile turn on the kill

switch enable 2fa reset passwords and

much more i'm honestly impressed by how

much freedom this cyber security tool

gives us the perimeter 81 business vpn

doesn't joke around with their features

and perfects them to earn the best

corporate vpn title but i did notice

that the really advanced features are

only available with their higher tiered

plans so if you're interested to see

what they can do well i've left a little

link in the description below with the

best deals so make sure you check those

out okay but for now let's go ahead and

jump into the h-old question is it safe

yep in fact it's one of the safest on

the market perimeter 81 is a cloud vpn

and like most of the other big names it

uses aes 256 cipher i also love knowing

that no third party has access to my

data not even the cloud provider itself

okay as for tunneling protocols it's got

all the good ones wireguard which is

both secure and speedy openvpn standard

option that many of you are familiar

with and ike v2 my choice for mobile

devices it offers a good stability and

security combination that truly helps

since i constantly switch between wi-fi

and data and in any case all three

options are fairly common for a b2b vpn

anyway okay it's secure but there's also

a little downside when it comes to

privacy it well

keeps a little bit of your data but the

data they do collect only helps ensure a

smoother user experience but here's the

full list i'll give you a second to

check it out

oh you see that one what about that one

oh

see that one that was cool

oh come on that doesn't do anything

shoot you give that up to facebook every

time you log in

okay now my favorite part performance

with the uk private gateway download

speeds decreased to a mere 2.7 percent

right up there with the top vpn

providers in the west of the us i got

around 60 megabytes upload speed using

wireguard which is quite impressive and

with the same location i was able to get

around 240 megabytes download upload and

download speeds varied from place to

place as you can see here singapore

barely scraped three megabytes upload

plus i have to stress this all of this

is with the wireguard protocol so if you

want to use the other two

you're gonna have to expect a

significant drop in speed from there

overall we've got three of the best

tunneling protocols and good speeds so

this perimeter 81 business review is

showing some pretty good results so far

yep it works the way it's supposed to

but is it easy to use oh yeah i've

successfully set it up for windows mac

os android ios and even surprise linux

but another quick nitpick here although

the mobile apps are quite similar and

looks to their desktop counterparts i

found that some things are actually

missing like the connect on launch

feature notification settings and

automatic updates were nowhere to be

found as well but i guess i can overlook

some of that stuff keeping in mind that

all the administrative work is done

separately all the good stuff happens on

the web client it also happens to have a

nice user-friendly setup but you're

gonna have to know a thing or two about

networking and cryptography to be able

to fully understand what you're doing

last thing i wanted to put to the test

was streaming and torrenting i know i

know i've said those kinds of things

aren't meant to be used on a business

vpn but hey doesn't mean we can't see

how well it handles right to my surprise

perimeter 81 fully allows torrenting and

with the speeds we've already talked

about it's a breeze streaming on the

other hand

not so great i was only able to access

the uk region of netflix through a

private gateway and the best i could get

with any other server was the

international library this basically

boils down to their relatively small

country selection but then again this is

a corporate cyber security tool not a

playground so yeah back to business or

well perimeter 81's business yep time

for plans and pricing if you're

accustomed to personal vpns well this is

going to look a little different first

there's a minimum number of users but if

this sounds like a roadblock for small

businesses it's actually not starting

with 5 users for under ten dollars a

month each but you do need to buy at

least one private gateway which makes

the cheapest price at around a hundred

dollars a month for their essentials

plan with you guessed it all the

essential features

premium and premium plus expands on

their list with the most feature-packed

option being enterprise the price point

for that one depends on what you need

and essentially what you can negotiate

for because well the only way to get

this one is to contact customer support

or you know a sales

all in all though the fact that it's not

a one-size-fits-all kind of deal well

you do get nice flexibility so you can

pick the best option that fits your

specific business needs so make use of

those deals that we've left in the

description to get the best price you

can

look we aren't sponsored by any provider

we're just here to test and try out

software so you have reliable reviews

and using our affiliate links gives us

the support we need to put out more of

this type of research content

alright so is perimeter 81 truly worthy

of the best business vpn title for 2022

keeping in mind that it's fast secure

easily scalable and has many business

focus features my answer is gonna be yes

yeah

but it is a little on the expensive side

and their customer service might have a

bit more of my data than i'd like but

hey there's always room for improvement

right

okay do you use a vpn for your business

accounts if so feel free to chat about

it in the comments below and while

you're there you should really press

that like and tap that subscribe button

so we could all meet once again real

soon all right till then
