when activated travel assist

independently controls the accelerator

brake and steering to help maintain a

and stay within the lane to activate

ensure that adaptive cruise control is

selected

with a set speed above 20 miles per hour

engaged

press the travel assist button a green

indicator light turns on in the

instrument cluster display

if the lane markings are green the

system recognizes both lanes and is

ready to assist

travel assist helps maintain a relative

position from vehicles in front

while helping to hold the vehicle within

marked lanes

if the driver applies the brakes travel

assist is deactivated

to reactivate accelerate to the desired

speed

then press the travel assist button

again

if no contact with the steering wheel is

detected after a few seconds

a message will display instructing to

regain steering control

if contact is not restored an audible

warning will sound

the display warning will turn red and a

brief braking intervention will activate

if no driver activity is detected

emergency assist will engage

helping keep the vehicle in its lane and

if necessary

slowing the vehicle to a full stop

applying the parking brake

and activating the emergency flashers

control can be regained at any time by

moving the steering wheel

or pressing the accelerator or brake

pedal
