i am going to make seating for a
doll-sized movie theater using cardboard
clear plastic from packaging felt an
x-acto knife scrapbook paper a ruler and
a pencil and glue
using a doll as a guide on a large piece
of cardboard i begin to sketch out my
design
i go back over it with a ruler to make
my measurements more precise
since i am making this for a 10 to 12
inch doll i am going one inch by one by
one by one by one by two and then i just
repeat the process over again for the
next level
since this project is made out of
cardboard it can be resized for almost
any size doll like an 18 inch i would
just make it bigger
and for a mini doll i would just make it
smaller after planning my design i cut
it out
i repeat until i have six
using one to trace the others
glue them together in groups of two
for a larger doll like an 18 inch i
would probably use three
measure and cut several thin strips of
cardboard
begin gluing them to the cardboard
stairs
to make it more sturdy i double the
cardboard on the sides facing up glue on
another piece of cardboard to cover the
back
using a glue stick i begin covering it
with scrapbook paper
cut pieces of cardboard for the bottom
and back of the seats
i used them as a guide to cut a piece of
cardstock the same size
cut a piece of felt around the cardboard
leaving a nice border all the way around
make small cuts going around the
cardboard
then carefully fold and glue the edges
down glue the black cardstock on top to
cover the seams
take a small piece of cardboard fold it
in half
use glue to secure it in place
cover it with a small piece of card
stock
cover another small piece of cardboard
with felt
glue them together to make the arm rest
i begin gluing the seats
into place
i glue paper covered cardboard under the
seats to give them more support
i take another piece of cardboard bend
one side
using a doll as a guide i mark
and cut
the top and sides of a window i cut off
a portion of the remaining cardboard
to use as a counter i begin covering it
in scrapbook paper cut a piece of clear
plastic
glue it to the top of the opening
leaving a small space i use small pieces
of paper covered cardboard to support
the counter add a sign
i glue scrapbook paper to a piece of
cardboard glue it to the top of the back
wall glue the box office onto a
cardboard base
then slide the tail end of the cardboard
underneath to help hold it in place
the dolls can enter from the side to
work at the ticket counter
glue white and black card stock together
to make the screen
glue together several pieces of
cardboard cover with scrapbook paper i
glue it to a piece of foam board add the
screen
add some curtains made out of felt
put everything into place
and now it's time to see if the dolls
will fit
the lift all bodies seem to do just fine
with these measurements but i probably
should have made the aisles here a
little bit wider maybe about five inches
instead of four because the monster high
dolls have to sit on the aisle or at the
bottom
and if i was making this for a doll with
even less articulation like a barbie
basic or an american girl i would make
the aisles about the length of their
legs
i add a few finishing touches
and you're done happy
it is your time to shine submit your
original doll photos on facebook or play
gps dad for a chance to be in one of our
videos because you're so fabsome
excuse me coming through

this whole movie are you

behavior starting

first

puppy chocolate what's up
