George didn't know much about caves

but he knew one thing about being in the

dark

how would he find the ball now

George invited jumpy squirrel to help

him find the ball in the cave

that squirrel didn't know what he was

missing by being so jumpy

the cave was like a new playground for

suddenly the cave seemed very different

for the very first time George was truly

afraid of the dark

he knew he never had to go back to that

for four whole days but don't worry I

George knew he had to get that

flashlight back if he wanted to sleep

but the thought of going back to that

cave alone was too scary

George had led jumpy to the cave now he

had to get the squirrel to follow him

inside

that was easier than he expected

The Man with the Yellow Hat was right

the only scary things in the dark were

in George's imagination

oh oh sorry I didn't frighten you did I

oh I couldn't make it home before the

rain so I came in here oh and I found

I've been exploring this cave since I

was a boy come on I'll show you around

that night the power was restored

but George almost wished it was still

out

and so after a day of spooky shadows and

strange shapes and sounds

George found that he never felt so at

home as he did right then

in the dark

sure can't take up a lot of space

actually when they have a lot of stuff

well that's the last of it George

now George are you sure we can't give

this all away instead of storing it in

the basement

the way George saw it you should save

everything because you never know when

he only wished that monkey felt the same

boxes why don't you and Hundley find a

well it occurred to Huntley that this

basement by himself

George knew something in that basement

must have scared Hundley but he wondered

he was a Lobby dog and this was his job

there was nothing to be afraid of a

basement is just a room full of junk

there was nothing to be afraid of down

except for that creepy noise

calm down something in that basement

must be frightening them

well we searched this entire basement

and there's nothing scary about it

I guess we'll store the boxes here I'm

going upstairs to grab some more

The Man with the Yellow Hat was right

the basement wasn't scary

Hundley didn't know what this was for

but he knew it wasn't dignified

first George had to figure out exactly

where that noise came from except it

seemed to come from

every direction

Huntley didn't feel dignified but he

didn't feel scared either

okay the one thing George knew about

sound was the closer he got to something

the louder it was

but how could George get close to the

creepy noise without getting close to

the creepy noise

George was right you should save

everything because you never know when

you might need it

to help pinpoint the noise

George divided the basement into four

sections

the part of the basement near the boxes

afraid

oh I love Valentine's Day it's when we

get to show all our friends how much we

care about them

George wanted to show the man how much

he cared about him too

George would make the man the best

Valentine's Day card ever

longer than he thought but he wanted his

Valentine's card to be really special

hahaha

but the man had said Valentine's Day was

for showing all your friends that you

cared about them

George had a lot of friends

he wanted to make a card for every

single one

but even using hands and feet it took a

long time

by the time he finished drawing cards

for all his friends

probably be summer again

he needed a faster way to make cards so

he could surprise all his friends today

and then he realized he had stamps

maybe there were some stamps in the

drawer he could use to make a

Valentine's card

he didn't have a single stamp that was

right he needed a heart

[Music]

he could make his own hard stab

thank you ah he had rectangles squares

circles half circles and triangles

how could he make a heart from those

shapes

if you put a rectangle and a rectangle

together he got a square

or a longer rectangle that did not look

like a heart

if you put a square in a square together

he got another rectangle

Hearts had two Roundy bits and a pointy

bit

circles were round

two circles looked like a sideways eight

not a heart

maybe he could use half circles instead

now he was getting somewhere

he just needed the pointy bottom

he needed another slatty side

first he glued his heart together

then he started stamping

[Music]

his card looked great but making his

heart stamp took a long time Valentine's

Day would be over soon he needed a way

to stamp a lot of cards really fast

George bet he could stamp super fast on

a pogo stick

pogo stick stamps were messy and hard to

control

[Music]

good job George

okay I'm gonna deliver the rest of my

Valentine cards you want to come with me

okay uh I'll be back in a bit

good little Valentine monkey

all that cleaning took so long how would

he finish his cards

and he still didn't have a fast way to

stamp them

maybe there was a quick stamper in the

closet ah

no quick Stamper there

or maybe there was

tricycle Stamper would be much better

than a pogo stick Stamper

because tricycle Stampers stayed where

you steered them

but tricycle Stampers squished your card

and then ate them

and made a mess of the carpet too

Valentine's Day was almost over George

had less time than ever

and he still only had three cards to

give his friends

George was glad the waffle iron was off

one of the cards was ruined

only he could make a new one on his

super quick card Stamper

to replace the waffle patterns

with heart patterns

he'd have to hurry to get all his cards

done on time

his cards look good

but they needed a personal touch

wild animals and their tracks

but there weren't too many wild animals

near his home

so he decided to go visit theirs

possums were hard to photograph

because if they see you

they play dead

bullfrogs move too much

and they ruined their own tracks

raccoon tracks were easy to find

[Music]

just don't bother a raccoon when it's

busy

we'd like to see the tracks of all the

animals that live around here

George wished his photos were more

exciting but there weren't many exciting

animals around here

wow I see you've got almost every local

animal that's at that Fawn I've seen in

the Hills

a foreign is a baby deer bet you don't

see too many of them in the city huh

a fawn was just the special unusual

animal George was looking for

come on I'll show you where to find it

going on an easy hike is the proper way

to break in new boots did you know that

this is where I saw the fawn

well time to get to work

I have to work on the trail for nature

George followed tracks in search of the

Fawn

but all he found was a slithery garter

snake

and Ducks they had webbed feet like

frogs

which must be why they were both good

swimmers

and a fish

who didn't leave any tracks

George still hadn't seen the Fawn or

learned what its tracks looked like

these were the biggest tracks George had

seen so far

something extra large must have left

them

they looked like big duck tracks

laughs

big duck would make a terrific photo

this was like the long track the garter

snake made

[Music]

giant duck with a snake's tail would

make an even better picture

[Music]

what a huge snake with duck feet would

be the most incredible photo of all

whatever made these tracks had to be

something special and unusual

the strange track suddenly stopped

did the duck-footed snake Fly Away

or maybe it was because nothing could

leave tracks in hard Stone

you can't leave tracks in water

[Music]

but you can make tracks with water

the animal must be going this way

maybe it's swam back home

George remembered he'd seen big tracks

like these

in a book

there they were dinosaur tracks

a duck-billed dinosaur

George got a photo of Jumpy by leaving

out food

couldn't he do the same with a dinosaur

what prize photo that would be

he didn't have any dinosaur food but

maybe they would like fruits and

vegetables

hi George George I saw that Fawn in the

Hills but I couldn't find you hey you

coming swimming

George was thinking about something

bigger than a fawn much bigger

those tracks couldn't possibly belong to

a meat-eating dinosaur could they

could that be the dinosaur

George decided to warn the men with a

yellow hat that a hungry dinosaur might

be visiting

the dinosaur had returned from the water

and the tracks were headed towards

Bill's house

yeah I guess those do look like dinosaur

tracks

yep my new boots were hurting my feet so

I put these on to walk to the lake I

told you I was going swimming remember

hey now I know what it's like to walk in

a dinosaur's footsteps

with no hungry dinosaurs around George

still needed that special photo for

nature week

it sounded like jumpy was hungry again

but George had enough pictures of that

squirrel

for such big animals those deer left

pretty small tracks

hey deer tracks

wow you used fruits and vegetables to

lure the deer to our house so you could

take photos

look at these wonderful deer how did you

manage to capture such amazing photos

George oh you know George he just used

his imagination isn't that right

it was a perfect day for boating anyone

with a boat or even without was floating

on the river

George had never seen so many different

boats in his life

and then he saw a boat that wasn't like

any he'd ever seen before

a boat full of cars

oh that's that's a fairy book

carries people in cars across the river

George loved cars

but cars and boats together it was the

apple pie and ice cream of

Transportation

today's our annual model boat show big

prizes for little boats

there are a lot of nice boats here

but not one person had built the

greatest boat

but he knew one thing

Bill couldn't enter the contest with

this boat

George had to build him a new one and

a bucket of toys is a handy thing to

was watch George sink boats

and he wasn't disappointed

it turned out metal didn't float so well

especially when it was full of holes

plastic

just like the other toy boat

but metal cars are heavy

even so it was sort of floating it was

just sort of floating underwater hey
