thank you
welcome back to the done deal show with
Dean Jones how are you mate
a good mate yeah it's been a good week
um it's
it's actually been a mad transfer window
like the last two weeks the amount of
business that's been done uh is insane
like I haven't known there was that
there was that day the other day when
the Harry Kane bid in went in uh from
Bayern Munich and then on the same day
you had all the Man City offer arriving
for Declan rice and later that night
Arsenal's new offer for Declan rice and
about a thousand little storylines in
between I was like it feel it felt like
deadline day and it was just like a
normal
Monday or Tuesday whatever it was it was
it was so weird it was so weird but um
yeah it was Tuesday but yeah it's
exciting I mean it keeps me on my toes
and it keeps us busy so we can't
complain no absolutely and there's so
much delve into today ladies and
gentlemen we are going to touch on Rice
the medical is booked we're looking at
URI and Timber kaisado Oh Nana what's
going on with Harry Kane and hoyland I
wanted to start off though by asking you
about Mesa Mount Bean because
there's a lot of talk about this deal
that now man united have reopened the
conversation with Chelsea they're
willing to negotiate on the
previous bid and maybe its structure as
opposed to increasing the offer but it
doesn't feel like a lot of the reports
are suggesting Chelsea will kind of back
down from the 58 million plus seven and
compromise on the overall value what is
the latest in regards to man united
trying to sign mace amount
yeah look we'll see um they're gonna
talk this out and try to sort it out and
I think it's important that that happens
that I Mason Mount is going to be
leaving Chelsea this summer that's still
my indication
um and dragging it into pre-season over
some add-ons isn't really worth the
hassle so
yeah there'll be another offer coming
probably from United on the back of
these conversations that they're about
to have
um I think it's important to note that
the last offer that went in uh from
United to 50 plus five I Chelsea took a
time over that one it wasn't like an
instant rejection and so it tells you
that there was a feeling that they're
not far away now many maybe I could come
up with a straight 55 million and it
gets done around that that figure like
it wouldn't surprise me if that's what
we started to look at
um the thing is Chelsea have got to
accept something soon we're five days
away from Mason Mount Evan to turn up at
Cobham for training and that's awkward
it's embarrassing it's a little bit
disrespectful too for a player that they
don't have planned for and it doesn't
really want to be there now let's
remember this isn't he doesn't want to
be there per se he loves Chelsea like he
never wanted to leave Chelsea Chelsea
put him in this situation through a lack
of respect it wasn't just money it was
the fact that the offer they were giving
him wasn't reflective of other members
of that Squad who were of the same
similar at least status
um that hurt him and you know the
repercussions of that have run deep and
that that's kind of where we sit right
now for a man united point of view um
it's all about changing the feeling you
know June's been a pretty depressing
month for Man United in the transfer
market now now they're their spin on it
will be we're two weeks into a window
and we never expected to have anything
done by now
um July is the time and I think that
that is going to be the mood changer
July should be a happy time for Monday
night and you look at it now and this
new negotiation for Mount
um which would be more personable with
Chelsea should make things easier and
then you've got other stories like the
Onana one which which is opening up
simultaneously yeah which will give
United a great opportunity to go into
July with new optimism and a freshness
about them
yeah I feel that as a United fan almost
it would be nice to have got the
business done earlier but we know
there's there's loads of things you've
got the hoyland doing now we're going to
talk about
30 million euros is the valuation and
then man united want to get him and
suddenly the valuation is 80 million uh
rice of course it's taken not the right
sorry uh amount is taking a bit longer
to get the price down Onana feels like
more I still don't understand why people
think 50 million euros Plus for him is
expensive for how good he is it's a
crazy one for me we should be putting
that money down but on on Mount Mount
such a weird one for us man united fans
because most of us are not overly
buzzing about signing him we're not so
some people are damn right angry I'm
more in the middle okay it's not my cup
of tea but clearly my manager rates him
so I almost feel like then it needs to
be an Ana a hoyland a a Casado move that
gets the juices flowing of man united
fans if that makes sense and or a player
we really want out like a Harry MaGuire
leaving it does feel a little bit stale
right now especially when you're
watching Arsenal and Tottenham and City
and of course Chelsea make signings and
you sort of look at it and think to
yourself wow you're the only ones with a
hand sort of
do you expect do you expect the mate
amount deal to close pretty soon though
based on you know everything you're
hearing
yeah I don't expect this to drag on into
pre-season I don't think it can
um I know there's been indications that
mount will be happy to be professional
and get his head down and work again at
Chelsea but that doesn't mean that
that's the expectation here the
expectation is that he is given the
opportunity to now leave and go and
complete that move to man united all the
pieces are in place for that transfer to
happen Chelsea have allowed it to get
that far and it'd be very very unfair on
the player to suddenly Backtrack on that
or to let this linger I don't feel like
how this could help Chelsea to hold out
for another month or whatever it would
end up being
just to get a few million extra add-ons
given they've been very lucky already in
this transfer window to have been off
able to offload all the players they
have to Saudi Arabia
um I was looking at this situation a
couple of months ago thinking Chelsea
are in big trouble because there are no
takers for these players on these wages
and at these fees so the fact that the
Saudi pro league changed that for them
has been a massive bonus and at some
point you've got to take a little here
and this is where you need to take that
little hit and let Mason Mount free
because
um as I say he feels
undervalued disrespected whichever way
you want to dress that up and I don't
think there's any way back from that in
terms of signing a new contract so it's
best probably for everybody
that they can move on now
yeah no I wouldn't I couldn't agree with
you more I think it's just as you say
get get it done get it out the way get
it over the line and and kind of get it
um cleared up
sorry
um just an interesting update here
that's come from completely off the
subject come from a financial journalist
who works for Bloomberg David Hillier he
claims that uh sir Jim Radcliffe's Bid
to Buy man united is absolutely dead in
the water just for some I know that's
not an area that you look at but I still
I think that's good like I don't know
which which side of the fence are you on
which which bid do you prefer
look Ataris
yeah mate I think that's the one if you
want to genuinely be a side that
um competes in the Premier League from
now on I think you have to accept that
there might be a side to it that isn't
going to be
ideal
um but
the amount of money uh that's going to
come on the back of that deal and also
the promises on
cultural
um investment around the area of
Manchester that they're they're looking
to to put in to show that they're
they're interested in the area of
Manchester not just Man United football
club I think that there are reasons that
this is a real real positive and it
needs to come to a conclusion soon
because Man United
they've got their hands tied a little
bit with transfer they need they need
these five players through the door and
they can't afford to get five players
through the door and as soon as that
takeover is announced if it was to be
katari's then
it's a game changer it really is and I
know that it's a bit awkward for United
fans who have like
slated PSG or Man City or Newcastle in
recent times for for their their style
of ownership
but you know it gets it gets the glazes
gone and it and it allows man united to
be to be free again in that sense and
get back to being
one of the biggest clubs in the world
and as soon as that takeover happens it
really does change the type of player
that you can start bidding for again and
you know immediately I can guarantee the
second that if that is the Takeover that
goes ahead
the mbappe rumors the name our rooms
they'll all be back because Suddenly
It's actually realistic and man united
are back in that conversation and then
it might be a moment when you're not
talking about a Highland signing as many
night as number nine it might be that
you can start to look bigger than that
and you can go back to those those names
that are actually going to influence the
title race next season
well this this is the thing for me when
it comes to this potential takeover
I do think that's been the hindrance for
us I believe if the Takeover happened
two months ago I believe we would have
been seriously in the depth I believe a
big bit the the situation with
um
the situation with
I want to get their names right
um with Harry Kane
I've always I felt that although we've
walked away now if this takeover whether
it completes during the transfer window
or we know it's coming personally I
don't really
it won't matter because the word will be
from uh Sheikh jazeem just spend what
you need to spend and we'll clear up the
mess When we arrive there will be no
need to worry and I believe deals for
the life of Harry Kane will be re
reignited 110 if if uh they are to win
the bid and there was a big report I
mean it's with respect to sports
journalists and I always like the fact
that yourself have always said to me
that you know it's not really your area
of expertise and what you're looking
into the business journalists have
always had a very different feeling
about this takeover compared to the
sports journalists in terms of who's
leading the race who's more likely to
get it done and over the line and for me
the biggest indicator has been the last
10 days the share prices continue to
rise and the share price would always
continue to rise if the qataris were
taking over because they'll be they're
going to be buying everybody's shares
back off of them and taking off pocket
where with the Jim's bid they'll be
keeping it on the stock market for a
period of time so if you're an investor
and you really get win that the qataris
are winning you want to put your money
into Man United stock because the share
price will Skyrocket when they're
announced and then they will be buying
it off you it's almost a guaranteed
return of monies you can imagine a lot
of very wealthy people are pumping a lot
of money into man united stops if
they're getting win through the business
channels who will get it first because
they'll be connected to the Rain group
that the qataris are coming in if the
word was it was the gym no one's going
to invest their money because
you don't know when the club's gonna be
sold completely you don't know when the
glazers are leaving you don't know what
the future looks like so they're very
very positive news um and Don here says
it could be a bluff it could be a bluff
it absolutely could be but I don't this
is this is what I would say to people I
know there's a lot of United haters out
there as well that think that I'm not
saying you Don but
Bloomberg News
they're not here to Bluff people they're
not looking for headlines they don't
need like Bloomberg they don't need the
headlines to be like on the menu they're
not in this for hits yeah yeah they're
not in it for that they're not in it for
clicks that's not that's that's not
where they make their money if that
makes sense per se so it's they're just
telling you what they know and telling
you what yeah is telling them you know
and you know what like I mean all the
noises that are credible really are
comfortable you can go back to Rio
Ferdinand when he did that video
like we have Ferdinand wouldn't have
gone live with that
if it hadn't come from somewhere
like the very very top it's it I found a
bit of a strange thing to do anyway
because it's like he suddenly thought he
was for British Air Romano but
um there's no real need for Rio don't
need to be going down that path he's got
he's got enough of a career another
Avenues
but I was like for him to feel the need
to come out and talk like this that he's
this the indication he's got a so strong
that this is the way they take over his
head in
it just had me believing like that was
it on the back of everything else that
we'd heard recently about Shake winning
like it it makes the most sense as you
say I don't really get involved in the
Takeover stuff unless I get a particular
steer directly from someone that's just
come out the blue I mean like I did
business studies at school but I don't
feel that uh that that's that really
holds up against Bloomberg journalists
so I think I'll let him do their thing
and I I can chat to agents about
transfers no 110 I I agree in terms of
stand with man united hoyland what is
the latest there it's been announced by
the media as the number one target for
Man United is there likely to be a bid
for the young man
yeah I think look the way you've got to
look at United's front line right now
um and obviously this game will change
if this takeover does get activated but
um
you look at the squad from last season
and veg horse is not going to be there
Marcy owls not going to be there if they
can find someone to buy him and elanga
is not going to be far on the front line
either so there's three figures that
were were a part of it Mason Greenwood
who Coulda Woulda Shoulda under
different circumstances being in that in
that Squad but that is what it is for
now so there's four names out of the
equation so basically leaves you next
season with rashford Sancho Anthony
garnacho as for you need a nine like you
might have to go and get this number
nine it was supposed to be the priority
yeah here we are talking about oh nana
and Mason Mount as the two are likely
names to be first in man united
um
but yeah United have been looking at the
situation about Atlanta and
um it's fair to say in this moment that
the dialogue is is open between the two
um as they work out how it can be
negotiated like you mentioned 80 million
at the top like this will not be an 80
million pound cash transfer uh for
hoyland but Atlanta obviously know that
they've got a really good asset here uh
particularly in this market at a time
when United need a player of this style
and they want compensate in as a result
of that if he's going to go
um that might be the
um you know I do put forward cash but
there's always a potential that they can
offer players the other way as well and
Emma Diallo is somebody that's been uh
mentioned as somebody that potentially
could just be a mateway in this
um you know he he started his his career
really with atlantern he came through
there and made his senior breakthrough
before going to United
um so look at the moment it looks like
he'll be joining up with United for
pre-season and there's obviously a lot
of Promise around the player but
if there's something like that to be
negotiated then I can definitely see
that that could be something that that
helps both clubs in this situation but
hoyland yeah definitely somebody that
that United like
um and unless there is a takeover
imminently and they can suddenly turn
their attention to color Moana or Aussie
men or Harry Kane then he'll remain to
be that
absolutely and I think I think you could
sign hoyland tomorrow and if the money
comes in from the Takeover still go and
get Harry Kane because that was always
the plan for Man United so I think it's
a almost a no-brainer in in many in many
ways
um what's the latest you understand
about oh no no I know that some of the
Italian Outlets like I'm not saying they
got it wrong when they spoke about Kim
Min Jae but of course he ended up going
to Bayern Munich and they were like he's
they were adamant he was going to man
united the same Outlets are now saying
that bids are on their way by the end of
the week
meetings have happened between the clubs
you've got DiMarzio who he's looked at
as credible although he is getting
cooked at the minute for saying that
City are growing in confidence they were
going to get
um Declan rice and I'm not too sure why
he's getting cooked for it it's just
Arsenal Arsenal did a better job but
they're all stating talks are ongoing
bids are imminent
um it could be done by the end of the
week that's the sort of collectible
opinions together what's your
understanding about the Onana situation
and man united putting in a bidding
yeah I mean it's really a situation I
didn't expect to unfold I thought I
thought the de Haya stuff would be
sorted out
um said a minute ago all briefings with
the number nine was an absolute priority
um suddenly here we are and the hair
hasn't signed and oh nana
might be sorting out a deal to join man
united tomorrow
um look from De Hayes point of view I
can totally see
he might feel even embarrassed by
United's latest offer to him
um I think it's totally fair for him not
to sign that you know whatever your view
is on
the hair as a fan uh whether he's he's
good enough to be man United's long-term
goalkeeper he won the Golden Glove he
kept he was wondering United's best
performers last season definitely in the
top five performers from Man United last
season but it doesn't fit going forward
and this was always a situation you know
we're going to come to I think Tenaha
could kind of accepted that they might
not be able to go there and was willing
to take the Haya for another season but
um I know changes the dynamic of what
man united are capable of immediately
like in terms of the style of goalkeeper
that he is he's the best in class
um
the passes he can pick out genuinely
have been so important to Inter Milan
you can see something pull it off and
immediately the opponents are on the
back foot there are very few goalkeepers
that can have can implement this style
of play like so directly themselves
um it's basically like an outfield
player in goal like is that good in
terms of his vision and what he's
actually capable of with his feet and
he's also a very good goalkeeper with
his hands too like I don't think it gets
played up enough either
um so this is what I talk about in terms
of like changing the mood around man
united suddenly yeah the hay is going
you think well Club seem to be a bit
harsh in him but fair enough like he's
not worth 350 Grand a week and maybe we
shouldn't be giving him even upward up
the high as 200 so
they go low and then you move on
suddenly you are looking at a much
better place for Man United to build out
of the back Implement that 10 hog
philosophy and if you've got 10 hark as
your manager for the second season you
do want to step up and actually start
making those changes run deeper and this
will undoubtedly do that so yeah and
Anna in the next 24 hours I do think
we'll have a better indication of where
they're at with this Mason Mount might
even be clearer today
so yeah it's a big couple of days for
Monday night and by the time we get into
the weekend
the whole mood of man United's month and
the past couple of weeks the transfer
window could be completely transformed
yeah listen I I can I completely agree
and I think what you said about him
being such a trans transformative player
is it's a seismic move for Man United to
bring him in I I think I don't think
people man united fans especially we see
Rivals do it the way we can play
football changes Pep Guardiola paid in
the ultimate compliment about two weeks
ago when he said
a goalkeeper like going on and makes it
almost impossible to press
the team is in because if you get four
it will press the back line he just
pinged a 35-yard ball pinpoint to a
midfielder in space and then you're in
trouble and one of man United's
weaknesses and it may improve as we get
better players in all positions one of
our weaknesses is being pressed if we
could
take away our threat threat against our
goal from be impressed our backline
being pressed and our goalkeeper being
played yeah it changes the way we play
and I calculated this in the last eight
games of the season so it isn't a
complete study in those last eight games
on average David Haye gave the ball away
in an unforced era through passing 17
times per match
wow that's I Surrender and then I only
did it over a three game period I looked
at um Edison for City and I counted
onanas in the Champions League final
unforced errors and giving the ball away
with their feet and averaged three times
yeah you suddenly you have that ball net
for 14 times to potentially build
attacks from it changes the dynamic of
your football team
overnight yeah I mean the positions just
changed a lot hasn't it what was the
game was it was it Brentford when there
was that was it Maguire and Ohio was it
was it Brentford that was severe but
Brentford happened with no I mean
earlier the start at the very start
Ericsson Erickson and Erickson yeah
that's the one that's the one I'm
thinking of yeah I mean you go back to
moments like that in the early ten hog
uh era of trying to change things and
you're thinking fly me like by the start
of this season if you've gone from there
and then this time around you you've got
Onana dictating things from that sense
yeah obviously the Sevilla was a high
profile one that is far too recent to
still be happening
um and you start to eliminate mistakes
like that you know in terms of shot
stopping I still think the hay is right
right up there at the very best yes I
get that but you do want more than that
and you know the idea is you want to
eliminate first of all half those shots
being taken like that's one of the
things I've got to start to stop
um but secondly like you say
you've got to be able to to start the
start the play going from the back and
that's what into Milan have been able to
do for an honor in brozovic and and you
know they're risking a lot I mean the
thing at the moment which English clubs
have an opportunity to do is make the
most of uh an exodus of Serie A talent
and we're looking at hoyland and Onana
here as two examples of how man united
can exploit that market like Syria is
it's falling apart a little bit right
now you just sing tonali make that move
from AC Milan to Newcastle I mean how
How likely has that ever been in the
past that a player who loves AC Milan
will even contemplate leaving that club
at that age to go and join Newcastle but
here we are Kim leaving Napoli on the
back of of winning the league
um over at Newcastle I saw a Newcastle
eight events same colors
um you got kiesa you got vlavich both of
them like serious doubts I was just into
a podcast yesterday
that the Clarence was on and he spoke
about how in the 90s and early Northeast
he nearly moved to the Premier League
twice when he made his moves between in
between European clubs Arsenal man
united nearly signed in twice
and what it basically boils down to is
the Italian and the Spanish clubs just
have more power and money of course they
had Prestige as well but the Premier
League just has that about it now it
just has more money than any other
league and yes there are still hugely
prestigious teams in Europe that can
attract some of the best talent Real
Madrid or a prime example so Barcelona
just don't have money right now but we
need to be utilizing that and the more
you know Newcastle stunning finale is
not great for Rivals from a football
sense but it's brilliant for all of us
in terms of attracting more talent
because if we have the best managers and
the majority of the best players it's
easier to attract other people so yeah
it's very very interesting indeed I
wanted to ask you but we'll just touch
on Tottenham a little bit and we're
going to go into Chelsea ladies and
gentlemen we're going to go into Arsenal
as well so please stay with the show
make sure like buttons are here and
another thousand people yesterday turned
on the Bell notifications for our video
so please go and get that done
ridiculous numbers absolutely humble
right so go and get those notifications
turned on now but turn on push
notifications as well on your phone so
you don't miss anything I want to ask
you about
we know Madison is doing they want to
say Well done to you first of all
because
um as far as I remember are you the
first journalist who said that Spurs not
only were in for him but were advancing
it that they'd gone ahead a Newcastle in
this race they signed the deal for him
yesterday big player for them
but
is Harry Kane going to stay because
reportedly he's gonna he's gonna reject
them according to like Harry redknapp
but it looks like buying a put two bids
in typically teams don't bid unless they
think a player will come
what's gonna happen with Harry Kane and
potentially leaving Tottenham in your
opinion mate
I'll still be surprised if he leaves
um you know Top Line here is Tottenham
don't want to sell him I like that is
that is The Stance and that hasn't
changed
if it is going to happen it's got to be
in excess of a hundred million pounds
like that's what somebody said to me
yesterday they were like I don't think
it will happen if it was to happen this
would need to be the case
um
if Harry Kane leaves Tottenham is
irreplaceable
what do they do right they've just
brought in this new manager with no
experience in the Premier League
they are losing Hugh galleries who was
the club captain
and
they're going to lose potentially Harry
Kane as well so that would mean they got
no manager with any experience of the
club or the league
no goalkeeper who was the leader of the
team and no Striker was the poster boy
the guy who got 30 goals a season Daniel
Levy can't allow those three things to
fall into place at the same time like
that is an absolute disaster you can't
replace Harry Kane you can go and spend
you can go and reinvest that 100 million
pound that doesn't necessarily replace
those 30 goals plus everything else that
Harry Kane brings to Tottenham so that
is the situation they're looking at here
I also feel like the James Madison
transfer is actually quite an
interesting one when it comes to Harry
Kane because
you now look at the kind of options that
will be around Harry Kane for next
season and you're thinking okay we
obviously had the the sun understanding
that's been there kudoski didn't have a
great season but like there's definitely
we've seen flashes of what he can do
when he's at his best yeah
um Tottenham playing in a new system
next season like
potential for other players in that team
to flourish like Pedro poro like he's
got um great creativity about him as
well like Kane will have no trouble
getting to 30 goals next season at
Tottenham if he stays fit but the
interesting side to this like you say
is that Kane's Camp have clearly given
word to buy Munich that they should make
this offer
so in that sense it's there's only
certain things that can be happening one
is that Kane is desperate to join Bayern
Munich we'll get to that in a minute uh
the second thing is that they're trying
to open up some sort of bidding wars
that other teams now see that Kane might
be uh considering his future and get to
get involved so if that's real Madrid
PSG or Man United
and the other thing is that maybe they
would want Spurs to offer a new contract
I don't think that that's the one so
let's take the contract out of the
equation for now
um
does Kane dream of playing for Bayern
Munich
up until now Harry Kane has always said
it basically has no interest in in
playing abroad that's that's been a
pretty General stance of his now I'm not
saying that can't change over time
but it would be a pretty massive
change of heart from him
to be going from there and building this
new house which we've just seen talked
about in the media so that doesn't fit
in within moving to Germany right now
he's got a family his wife doesn't want
to go and live abroad either I believe
um
and Munich
doesn't have the same pool as a Madrid
or a Barcelona like I know like that in
Munich you would be able to see
firsthand the
the size of that club and no no doubt
it's a giant no doubt he can go there
and win things Kane up front with Sana
and Manet like don't be wrong that's
that's scary stuff and he could
genuinely go there and win the Champions
League
the German sources are absolutely
adamant they're adamant that Kane does
want this move to Bayern Munich and that
to be honest kind of blows my mind if
that's the case like they've obviously
had conversations around this
with his brother and others and they
believe that these bids are worth making
the problem is they're you know they're
off opening offer that went in was so
far short of where it needs to be that
we're not really going to gauge whether
there's any chance of it happening
Tottenham deny that even happened so it
it's very hard to understand
whether they would get to that level of
spending by Munich have not spent this
much money on a player before like this
is New Territory for them uh so if
they're going to go and spend 100
million Euros are over this is this is
kind of a new thing I think
top of my head like
Lucas Hernandez delete
they weren't at that level you think
when they were they bought sadio Mane
for like 35 million Leroy sane joined
Bayern Munich for about 40 million I
think so you guys spend 100 million is a
massive deal but then you say okay well
if they don't get Harry Kane then they
want colomoani or Aussie men and to be
fair they're both exactly the same value
as as yeah and he was really interesting
with is it pronounced did you say yeah
and money he
I love I love what um
his Club are doing
normally teams in Germany bend over
or take the knee and kiss the ring when
it comes to Bayern Munich and they will
sell them a 90 million pound rated
player for 35 40 million and
I'm glad to see somebody standing up to
Bayern Munich and saying no you're not
just it's the equivalent of City being
number one in England right now and then
wanting players from Chelsea man united
Arsenal Spurs that are worth 100 million
pound in the market like a Harry Kane
again for 35 million mate go do well in
Europe so Bayern Munich are going to
have to spend big and you saw last
season they missed Lewandowski they
missed a world-class nine in their team
the game against
City could have been a very different
tie with a Lewandowski or a Harry Kane
or an osherman up front especially in
that first leg
at in Munich I think it would have been
a very different
um event if they'd won that game the
game at the Etihad could have been very
different as well so they need it so
it's going to be interesting but I got
I've got a sneaky feeling I could be
pure bias here as a man united fan I've
got a sneaky feeling that Kane's team
like you've kind of alluded to almost
allowing this to happen
as a way of trying to tempt man united I
think Harry Kane wants wants to join
Manchester United personally I think not
not that he's got the desire for Man
United but I think he looks at it as how
do I stay in England break the Premier
League record have a better chance of
winning trophies and get my money up man
united really are the only option but
there was a report yesterday by Matt law
that Chelsea are looking at this and
there is the and this is the one thing
you said that Levy can't allow
those three things that all happen in
one year but what you also can't allow
to happen is to say no to man united or
potentially Bayern Munich this summer
for him to join Chelsea next year for
free because that's an even bigger fun
in the eye right or can you not see
can you not see Harry Kane ever joining
Chelsea because of the club issues
I find it highly unlikely that Harry
Kane would do that we can't rule it out
we don't know exactly what he feels
about it it's highly unlikely I mean
this the story about Cain building a new
house like 15 miles from Chelsea's
training ground in Cobham
look if Harry Kane was actually joining
Chelsea would just buy a house in Cobham
or auction like I live around this area
and there would be no need for him to
yeah not not in that area oh it's just
outside of it
um but like the area he's buying a is
this house in at the time of day you'd
have to get into training you're talking
about like a
hour drive like it's 15 miles away it's
not like it's it's not it's not that
easy so I understand like it's in the
vicinity of like work Chelsea's based in
comparison to where tottenham's trading
grounds based but to be honest what I
would really say is this like it's that
the area is looking at moving to is just
a really really nice area and it's very
nice very good for his kids and all that
sort of stuff and to be honest and the
area he'll be and it doesn't really
matter who he plays for long term like
he'll always have a good base so I don't
buy into that side of things and well
Riad mahrez I know this and I can review
it now because I no longer work at that
bank and have an NDA my department did
re-admare as a mortgage to buy a house
in North London and that news story is
buying a house in North London made
everybody believe back in I think it was
2016 or 17 that he was going to Arsenal
that same summary sign for Man City but
he just bought a house in North London
because for a lot of dollars and we used
to have this conversation with them and
their agents there's one football in
particular I won't name him he played
for Liverpool guy was spending about
four and a half five grand a month on
Hotel fees in London
and that was not always for him it was
for he'd have a family member that was
over and they would stay in a hotel and
everything else and we basically again
as a bank we were trying to sell
mortgages right so we were basically
saying to people well why don't you look
up buying a nice property a big property
in London in a nice area we'll do you a
mortgage
with what deposit you've got we could
get you a mortgage rate that is in and
around what you're spending on hotels
and you own the property it was an asset
so we did a lot of business in that area
and players were buying houses all over
the place that they weren't necessarily
playing in that City so it's enough
depending on where they're yeah it's
interesting it's obviously interesting
but it it's not necessarily telling us
anything about his future
um if he stays if he sits this out for a
year you can have a lot of options on
the table one thing I do like about him
going to to buy and by the way is
obviously the Euros are in Germany next
season at the end of next season so I do
kind of like the idea that Harry Kane
has spent the year uh acclimatizing to
German life getting used to all those
stadiums where he's going to begging all
these girls for England
I hope so
there is something nice about him you
know an Englishman for the first time
ever you know taking over Germany rather
than trying to make it the other way
around a little joke in there uh we've
got to talk about German viewers so yeah
it'll be certainly be an interesting one
viewers make sure like buttons are here
make sure you are subscribing arsenal
news coming soon lots of updates I
haven't forgot about your super chats
either but they're all pretty much
Arsenal and some of them are Liverpool
related so we'll come on to them when we
move on to those sections but I wanted
to ask you about Moises crisado because
he is seen as Chelsea is seen as the
Front Runners for him but reports from
Skye but man united have now opened up
direct talks
um and will be making a formal approach
for the player we know Chelsea is seen
as the Front Runners what's your
understanding of his transfer from
Brighton and how long do you see this
Saga playing on for
okay well firstly yeah in terms of him
being a Target yeah he used uh a main
target of Chelsea In This Moment
I don't believe this will be a 100
million pound deal that's been talked
about a lot I don't see that happening
but of course Brighton are using the
market to their advantage at the moment
to make sure they get
top prize for him and you can't blame
him for that at all uh because I say
there's an open promise that he'll be
allowed to move this summer doesn't
expect to be playing for Brighton at the
start of next season
um and Chelsea have been pushing forward
slowly with this and they need to try
and stay in control of the situation I
think what does help them is that there
aren't any other clubs in England that
are either equipped to go and spend a
hundred million pound on Casado right
now uh the other club is being linked to
you've got Arsenal who have just done
100 million on Declan rice and have
spent over 200 million pound in this
window or are about to once these deals
get activated
um man united until that takeover goes
over I don't see how they can how they
can come up with the money for kaisado
especially if they are going ahead with
Mount and Onana which is the case as of
this second
um so that questions whether they can
properly compete for him and it gives
Chelsea a very good opportunity to
actually seal a transfer for clycedo
which
is much needed given the fact that
they've absolutely blown up their
Midfield you know they they got rid of
georginio in January
um coverage just joined Manchester City
loftus-cheek just joined AC Milan kante
going to Saudi Arabia which was a
massive blow because that was the one
that they thought they could see out for
another year they thought could get him
uh keep him going but kante's gone Mason
Mount uh still likely to go to man
united Conor Gallagher's future
uncertain although I got a feeling that
Conor Gallagher actually ends up staying
at Chelsea so like they've a hundred
percent got at least one midfielder
probably possibly two and I say though
is of the level and fits the profile and
has the resale value etc etc that
Chelsea looking for right now so
right now hold out for what they can get
um and Chelsea will look to negotiate
that soon and and try and get it over
the line
absolutely and I see them as a Front
Runners in this race can you see anybody
else getting involved there's talk of
Arsenal also trying to sign him
alongside rice man united wanting him
can you see they're becoming a bidding
war another team taking Chelsea over in
this race or do you think he's he's more
likely to be a Chelsea player than
anybody else
I think it's more likely to be with
Chelsea than anybody else because as I
say those clubs aren't well equipped
enough financially as of this moment to
go and compete with them Arsenal if they
were to even contemplate doing this
we'll be in a situation where they're
having to spread out those payments over
a long period of time we've just seen
all the talk about the structuring
around Declan rise well that it's going
to be the same again maybe worse if if
they're trying to
look at um signing kaisado right now and
man united you know anything over 100
million pounds right now doesn't really
seem accessible to them
um until this this takeover which
perhaps is now uh more imminent than it
was half hour ago
um it seems to be so look if you know I
do get that cash then of course that's a
game changer and you can go and actually
have that conversation with Brighton
about kysado much more seriously
yeah no I agree I agree it's one of
those deals I want to prolong because
the longer it goes on for the more
chance we have of getting involved yeah
yeah on down the line also keep an eye
out for the Frankie young situation with
basta's financial problems if man united
get money but that's a deal that United
fans don't even want to think about it
because we've got so we got so upset and
burnt last year as fans I don't think we
want to get too emotionally involved
with it I mean Chelsea though have done
some brilliant business with the exits
maybe a week I remember a week ago we
were talking maybe two weeks ago we were
talking and saying when are these exits
going to start now they're up to what
nearly 10 players out the door Mount
next a Loftus loftus-cheek gone uh
Hudson and doy on his way out like they
are doing some serious business in terms
of Shifting out unwanted players
Deadwood deflating that Squad you would
expect some quality signings to start
coming in the other way soon wouldn't
you really
yeah I mean I don't necessarily think
this is a great strategy by the way I'm
not sure that you can overhaul a squad
this radically in such a short period of
time and expect success uh quickly I
don't see how that can be the case
um you know they've they're assembling
the most expensive Squad we've ever seen
basically but at the same time they've
ripped apart a team that won the
Champions League just only two years ago
and that seems completely unnecessary to
be honest with you and actually what
it's done is it's allowed Arsenal to
play catch-up
um and actually start taking advantage
of their own situation so if I said I
think I said it on here last week like
to to consider where Chelsea and Arsenal
were two years ago and where they are
now absolute Madness that they've been
able to catch up but of course Chelsea
going down a different path now in terms
of Recruitment and in terms of the
profile of players that they want
um at some point they are going to have
to start looking at some actual
um proven players though because even
like you know the next one through the
door will be Nicholas Jackson
um pretty much ready to to go
um on that one
he's not really a game changer as I see
it
um I spoke to someone a few days ago to
just check on what exactly where he
fitted in and he is expected to be like
a center forward and
if it's him and brosher fighting out to
be Chelsea's number nine next season
I don't really feel that that's changing
the game in terms of putting you back
into the title race and uh
you know elevating your chances of being
in that European uh equation anytime
soon obviously like on kunku and players
like that will also benefit this team
but the shift is just huge it's huge and
I think it's a shame that that so much
of it has had to change
go back to even Mason Mount like it's
crazy that you would be ripping up the
identity of Chelsea to the extremes that
he doesn't even fit in
um but they could flip the script they
could say look other players are going
to get opportunities Levi Cole will
probably be in Chelsea starting lineup
at the beginning of next season and you
know they'll be there'll be new players
for a new era that that are made to feel
identifiable to what Chelsea are about
going forward so yeah there's a lot to
be done but they've got extremely lucky
with the fact they've been able to
offload these players to Saudi teams
um that is literally uh
that you know that wasn't on the cards
at all I look I get where you're coming
from in terms of dismantling the team
that won the Champions League at this
great core and it's been ripped apart
the problem is they have to do what
they're doing this summer Chelsea
because of the mistakes of last summer
in January combined if that makes sense
they have to offload it's almost
impossible for them to get rid of any of
the young players they've put on those
eight nine year Deals they kind of can't
get rid of I do think there'll be a
sting in the tower with either habits or
Mount I think it one of those two is
going to go away and be very very good
they could be but if in kunku comes in
and delivers I think Chelsea fans will
get over it the one area I 100 agree
with you one is they need to add some
Elder Statesman it can't just be
kids and I even look at Arsenal in the
same way a lot of their squad is going
to be under the age of 25 next season if
with Jacka and party going I think
georginio I think they have like four
main players that will be over the age
Outfield
they do sign a couple more players in
the back end of the window maybe they've
got to be of a certain age and vintage
to add a little bit of experience and
know-how in some I think Chelsea do need
to do that as well because it is hard to
in terms of you can build a very good
footballing team when it's young but
getting over the line and winning
trophies which when Chelsea is spending
over seven eight hundred million
probably by the end of this window the
expectation is still to be in the top
four challenging for trophies and within
within a season or two just like man
united trying to win that premier league
title again so they have to get the
mixture of personnel right in my opinion
but I would say in response to having a
37-man squad
they've done very well so far they get
rid of a lot of those players because
they didn't destroy that Squad doesn't
matter who their manager is who they buy
they were going to absolutely struggle
next year so yes it's going to be a very
interesting season for Chelsea no doubt
because the strategy is like I think
anyone's ever seen before
yeah I mean there's just no there's no
Premier League experience in there like
honestly like front to back there's
going to be barely anything there you're
going to have
um I mean obviously kepa has got it uh
Thiago Silva's got it
um luckily for them the two fullbacks
They're Gonna Keep and that's absolutely
key I mean the defense is actually the
area that they're probably okay in
because you've kept Thiago for the extra
year and you've got the two fullbacks
but um you know batty Yeshua is new to
the league Levi coal Wheels only had
worried one season Wesley for farn is
still merging so they're all players
with little experience Milo gosto is
coming in as the new right back like no
Premier League experience
um going into the Midfield and you've
got Enzo Fernandez who's obviously new
to the league still brilliant I'm not
going to dealt with He's Able playing in
the Premier League that'd be ridiculous
but Casado like he's still new to this
like he's still 21 he's still he's still
coming through
um so everywhere you're looking you're
relying on young Talent you go even like
the forwards that they've actually
brought in like mudrick uh chipwre Mecca
as a midfielder like hasn't got the
experience that they need Andre Santos
being talked about as getting more games
next season no experience
no experience at this level and all the
ones who had all the experience they're
just getting rid of all of them and they
talk about signing Nicholas Jackson no
experience in the Premier League it's a
very very risky path to go down you've
got Raheem Sterling who's obviously got
experience but they're going to be few
and far between by the time you get
Beyond like there's there'll be like a
core of probably six in the first team
and everybody else will have a freshness
about them which of course can be a good
thing like there'll be a rawness to the
team and they'll have no fear perhaps
and things like that not being burnt by
some of the the bad times but then there
are a lot of players in this team that
experienced what happened last season
and need to overcome that but look
Chelsea will still look to add to this
squad there's no doubt about it like I'm
not convinced that there won't be
another nine coming through
um yeah I I I agree on that there are
talks that Chelsea will move for the
Celta Vigo midfielder uh gabri Vega once
Mount has gone is that something you're
hearing as well
haven't really heard that to be honest
no um obviously Gabby Vega's been linked
with pretty much everyone uh over the
course of the last three months so I'm
not saying he's not on their watch list
he it would be silly if he wasn't and he
does fit the profile of what they're
after
um in pretty much every cent but he's
not really one of the names that uh that
has been mentioned to me very often
there
there we there we go uh viewers hit like
and share buttons make sure you're
subscribing
in terms of Arsenal there's lots to
delve into of Arsenal today but we know
the medical has been
permission has been given by West Ham
for the medical of Veteran rice we just
felt that talks are progressing very
well with urian Timber 45 to 48 million
euros to get that bit that deal done
but yeah the rice deal seismic for
Arsenal beat City to him medical gonna
be happening imminently have it through
the door URI and Timber next everybody
expects that deal to complete but a
brilliant start to the window
for Arsenal Dean
yeah unbelievable platform for them to
get to use for for pre-season
um obviously havert's now announced rice
won't be far behind and Timber shouldn't
be either if things are going the way
they are
um should get an agreement of that of
around 42 43 million pound uh hopefully
by after the weekend if things go well
for them uh as they feel they have been
uh going so far like he's even his
personal terms are like just
ridiculously low really for what you'd
expect if a player is going to come in
and help transform like the the
tightness of your of your back line and
the discipline and the way that you're
going to play
um it also adds a real aggressiveness
that our Teter has been wanting and
needing uh Timber will have a very
front-footed approach to to defending
which I think Arsenal
want and need they they don't want to
they feel like they're going to come up
against different challenges next season
and one of those might be slightly more
physical so they want to make sure that
they are 100 equipped for that
um they've got players that can reflect
that uh but yeah be beating off man city
in their their late hijack of Declan
Rice's is really significant
um they found a way to to make this work
financially it's a fair play to them
they've delivered on that and they've
delivered to the basically the promise
that they've made to Declan rice that
they would make this happen by the time
his holidays were done and what time
pre-season he was ready for pre-season
so
um they've lived up to that and what
they'll do now to be honest if once
these three transfers are confirmed
they'll they'll just take a brief pause
really and assess like where they're at
and and what outgoings they can make
um that's going to be the next the next
chapter of this
um because they do need to wind a few
things out there are a few uncertain
situations
um across all positions to be honest and
they won't let everybody go I think
everybody sees it as like a foregone
conclusion that like Thomas party's gone
and things like that I think it's a
foregone conclusion I think you have to
have to make sure that the squad's going
to be well enough equipped to take on
all the challenges of next season and
the different competitions that are
going to come their way
but um yeah there's obviously been
rumors around players like cancelo and
will they go straight in for a for a bid
for a player like that I don't think
they will go straight in for a player
like that I think that they need to know
exactly where they sit there's been a
bit of uncertainty around Gabrielle and
there's a couple of clubs sniffing
around his situation and whether he
stays at Arsenal I think the probability
is that Gabrielle does remain at Arsenal
but there's definitely a bit of
uncertainty about it that could come
around again and if they would suddenly
lose out then they have to go out and
sign a new center back they've been
looking at Mark gahey at Crystal Palace
just like Tottenham have but at the
moment he's priced out of the deal uh
like he'll probably stay at Palace to be
honest because um they're looking at
like 60 million pounds for him that's
seen as just a bit too much for anyone
that's that's keen on him at the moment
but yeah there's a lot to sort out I
think the most exciting thing that might
be yet to come after these would be if
they were to go for another wide forward
um there's been talk about it
um coming into the transfer window since
it begun they've put their priorities on
elsewhere but it wouldn't surprise me if
if once we get to maybe August even and
they start to assess exactly what they
need you saw a second last season by the
end of the season when it it really
mattered
he might have just not had enough in his
legs like the guy had been turned out
week after week for 90 minutes and
expected to come up with the goods and
you know even as a youngster like you
you're not a machine you can't just
constantly be doing it so perhaps they
just need not even competition but just
a a safer Rotator I guess that that can
come in there but yeah they're still
going to be work to be done yeah they're
very true you sort of look up I know he
didn't actually score in his last seven
games but they'd already kind of won the
league by then you look at the harlins
and the grealishes and the fodens and
the gunduans in that last 10 games of
the season in all comps the freshness
they had compared to man united legs
Arsenal legs is different and that's
because they just had the luxury of far
more rotation
earlier on in the season I mean Harlem
was taken off so early and so I mean he
could have scored an extra 15 goals last
season yeah you've been kept on the
pitch for 90 minutes but he was coming
off 60 70 minutes week in week out you
add that up over a season that's
hundreds of more minutes you know you
probably saved a thousand minutes in his
legs and then when it comes to crunch
time you've got that and I think that's
something that the likes of Sucker are
Arsenal and Martin nearly maybe he's
gonna need a bit more of next season
where you're not quite seeing them as
regularly at the start and the middle
but then you can utilize that saving of
their legs at the end of the season when
it comes to crunch time because you know
Arsenal as we say I've got to be
fighting on all four fronts obviously
Dean this super chess mentioned any any
incomings after that you mentioned some
um is there anything happening with
Lavia so is it are Arsenal still looking
at Lavia are they like he's a bid for
lavier as far as you're aware I think
that lavier like fits better with what
they might be able to do
um you know you've considered like some
of the other Midfield options that they
might be able to look at and this would
be dependent on another midfielder going
by the way so you know as it stands like
I'm not gonna go straight out and get
lavier I don't think they probably
wouldn't need to get rid of someone
first but
Lavia is going to be in that bracket of
like 30 to 40 million pounds uh and
you're dealing with Southampton who've
just been relegated and have barely a
hope in here I've been able to keep
someone of that level
um so yeah that is absolutely a deal
that you can see doable when they're
suddenly linked with like signing to a
menu from from Real Madrid and you're
talking about completely different
ballpark there like
again like why would choomene who cost a
hundred million euros a year ago
for a club like Arsenal who are having
to structure deals who are
they don't have the cash flow available
to be able to do a deal like that I
don't think because Arsenal's recent
history hasn't been of an elite football
club who's constantly in the Champions
League and challenging from the Premier
League and having all these other
incoming funds they will have that cash
now like in in the coming Seasons like
that's what's helped them with the
Declan rice deal is like Chelsea Arsenal
are now uh in the chat back in the
Champions League and they will establish
themselves again in the Champions League
they now that they're investing in this
way they will stay in that conversation
so there can be confidence that they are
now able to fight on a different
Financial front
but with an outlay on on Havas and
Timber and Declan rice exceeding 200
million pounds and already having to
finance that in a way that is is
carefully structured
to go to Real Madrid and say oh we we
would also like churamene
um
he is like 100 million pound but can we
spread it over six seasons like Real
Madrid aren't going to be willing to do
that because they're one of the biggest
clubs in the world
other teams yeah you've got a chance of
doing that but I just feel what a
discussion
with teams like Real Madrid you're just
not going to get very far plus like
somebody like chewerman is a different
level in terms of being able to actually
get so that's why basically go back to
the lavier point that's why I see him as
a bit more of a reasonable Target uh
once they start going down that path
yeah yeah you're always interesting with
Arsenal yeah I think too many is it's a
pipe dream signing in terms of I don't
even think Arsenal
will make an official approach in any
capacity that you and many they may want
him they may be able to afford him as
you say with via amortization over time
but I just don't see Real Madrid saying
yes I don't see the player wanting to
leave Real Madrid right now so it
becomes a non-starter if the player
hasn't got a massive desire to leave and
join you clubs don't bid anyway let
alone Real Madrid saying no so it's one
of those things but I do look at Casado
as an interesting one but he's going to
be very expensive but I look at Lavia
Lavia almost feels if you need to want
to buy another young up and coming
Midfield player
going to cost you 35 40 million income
and the ceiling of him I'm not saying
he's as good as the two of many or as
good as a guy say though but he has a
brilliant ceiling he's far more
affordable he's he's easier to get and
Arsenal probably do need now need to
look over the next few weeks at who is
going to leave as you've mentioned who's
going to stay preseason is going to be
key now that could be a player or two
they're thinking of selling or loaning
out that just come back this you know
spent the last five six weeks in the gym
working hard we're a few pounds heavier
you know Fabio Vieira could come back
this summer
and be far better than he was last year
and asked oh my gosh look we were
looking at another another attacking
player but maybe he can feel that void
maybe Smith Rowe comes back and he's
looking fitter and sharper and he'll
fill that void so they put their focus
and energy in another area on the
football pitch so I think I mean to
assess the squad maybe before jumping
straight into another signing but yeah
too many I very much doubt will happen
personally just reading the story well
all three of those players that they're
citing right now have its Timber and
rice were all getable and there was all
reasons to believe that those guys
wanted to join like rice they've had
indications for months that he was happy
to join Arsenal and they knew that West
Ham would have to sell him Timber is a
very getable signing again man united
probably could have got him a year ago
if they'd pushed hard enough for like 43
44 million pound that could have
probably been done then
um
like his situation has been uncertain
for months too and it became clear quite
quickly when when Chelsea
um put out a list to intermediaries of
players that were available it covers is
on the list Arsenal pounce so they're
all three signings of no risk in terms
of like is this player interested in it
so to go for two and many if they got an
indication that churamene wasn't happy
at Real Madrid
all that Real Madrid wanted to sell him
then that becomes a different
conversation and like maybe you can
start to
um negotiate around a fee but there
aren't really the signs around Madrid
that that's going to happen
[Laughter]
I think Lavia is a very a very
um open option I think the other players
Arsenal looking at not even being
mentioned by the media I think they keep
very much like URI and Timber I think
it'll be a player not same position you
want to say like him but I think it'll
be a scenario like that you'll be
sitting there one evening and there'll
be a big breaking news story that comes
out and it'll be Arsenal in for and
it'll be an attacking midfielder or a
Winger or a number nine you're like oh
wow it's come out of nowhere I think
that's you've got kind of think about it
the rice both both Timber and habits
came out of nowhere both of them did
the only one that's been protruded that
we all knew about was depth and rice
that's been going on since February the
other two they just came from almost
nowhere if you'd have said at the end
last game of the season Arsenal gonna
buy cry habits you would you would have
been absolutely laughed out the window
so I wouldn't be surprised if the player
that the next player that Arsenal sign
is someone that we're not even talking
about or focused on right now because
they have been conducting their business
really really well so far Arsenal and
there's a lot of doubts when City got
involved with the Declan right Declan
rice thing but look I mean look depends
on what media Outlet you follow some are
saying City walks away so I'mma stay in
it the player chose Arsenal so City and
walk away he wouldn't do that no no he I
think I think in the cold hard light
today this is my honest opinion I think
City will like right we can match the
bid that Arsenal put in and get accepted
as well
because they were never going to pay
over because they don't do that and I
just think they've gone but who would
rice chews and rice has gone I want
Arsenal so City went we'll walk away
then and say face which which is what
everybody does man united tried to spin
it last year that we weren't in for
Darwin Nunez once he'd pick Liverpool
and it's like we were like why are we
all lying for it's crazy to me
um this here says Terry what will you
cover when Arsenal buy all their targets
man united man united well just like
today the headline of the show is about
uh the Casado the the next one is about
Mount we spoke about Kane on the show
and his deal there's oh nana I said it
before the only reason the last two
weeks we've done more videos about
Arsenal's transfers than anybody else is
because they're the most active Club the
most active Club was Chelsea we do more
videos about Chelsea my friend so that
is what we'll do but thanks for the
super I think that's what you're yeah I
mean that's what you're heading towards
as well now you know Arsenal obviously
been the early leaders in this
um but the fact that you might have done
anything yet
um is excited from your point of view
because you've got loads of many night
stories to cover in the next two months
um but Chelsea too like Chelsea are
going to have to spend uh a lot more
money uh if to let go of this many
players and to start replacing with you
know I've got to get two significant
names through the door no doubt 110 uh
how much should we be looking at for
outgoings at Arsenal 100 million is kind
of a suggestion here from ibby it
depends who they sell wasn't it Dean I
mean I think yeah
I mean that is going to be the focus
they they've gotta they've got to get
rid of a few people now and they want to
figure out like exactly who goes and uh
what options there are out there so that
will be the next phase of this
um I don't know what what sort of number
we're looking at at the moment because
as you say we don't know you know is it
there's a surprise transfer like
Gabrielle suddenly joins PSG or is it
simply that Thomas party's moved on and
like baligan goes and these sorts of
transfers so
um might be a mix of both we'll have to
wait and see but it depends on the
profile of those players and and who
actually needs replacing and who doesn't
uh this year says uh we're selling all
our bums so it's necessary and then says
Dean behaving like bowling her in why so
salty
I just I just think that the transfer
philosophy is ridiculous I think is
absolutely ridiculous and I know I'm not
the only one
um you know I speak to a lot of people
that work in and around Chelsea and uh a
lot of those are apprehensive to say the
least about what Chelsea you're doing
right now you could look at it's
exciting that's totally fine
um I look at it as
a risk a risk
um but that are neutral when it comes to
Chelsea I'm not bothered so I'll I'll
sit back and watch it
a few things surfacing now around
Liverpool uh what's your take Dean
yeah it's it's tough one to get a grasp
of for sure
um
I'm not sure about sober Sly I don't
believe that that is one that they need
to be uh focusing on that they seem to
already have players that are creative
enough and stuff so I still think it's a
more typical midfielder like a
Grafenberg situation uh a lot of
obviously a lot of their targets are at
the under 21 tournament that's not the
Beyond end all that doesn't necessarily
stop a transfer but it does definitely
hinder any progress in some way so I
think there's that to consider I also
think the fullback position is going to
be one that does become interesting
Liverpool I do believe that they are
looking at that position to see what
happens long term
um Trent is not a fallback anymore he is
officially a midfielder I don't know how
you use him for sure is it as a
quarterback is it as an attacking
midfielder for England and differently
for Liverpool but we absolutely
categorically know now that that Trent
should not be used as a typical fallback
and that means that Liverpool are going
to have to consider like who does cover
that role because trench probably
shouldn't be it doesn't need to be yeah
you know I love about it the most it's
the years I've been accused of being a
Trent hater because I said that he
wasn't a right-back I just think he's a
liability in that position from a
defensive angle he gets moved into
Midfield I've never seen Liverpool fans
gushed over something so much in my life
and so but everyone that's ever
criticized Trent has told you this
before is instead of saying well done
Trent you should be saying sorry to
everybody that we doubted you because he
isn't a Defender he is a a playmaker and
he's a phenomenal playmaker he's
probably got to learn the Midfield role
a little bit more and play in it and you
know he hasn't been in any massive games
yet in Midfield you know in crunch games
clutch games and things like that but
he's brilliant so yeah they need that
right back area covered yeah it makes me
wonder what else we're missing out there
like what other players need a position
change you know we should uh this is
what the carabao cup should be used for
some time for teams that like aren't
interested in trying to win the carabell
cup they should just play everyone in
different positions just to test them
out in case like suddenly it turns out
that um I don't know like cavertz is a
brilliant center-back or something like
these experiments need to happen
used to be a center-back and he turned
into a striker he did yeah it isn't it
isn't new foreign yeah exactly you know
lots of players have changed positions
in their in their careers some tried to
it didn't quite work but um you know
pulse goals used to be a second look
used to play off the striker when he
first started and then he ended up
becoming the best midfielder in yeah
from Holland and uh
he was a striker and I was like really
exciting I remember interviewing him
when he joined Fulham and he was like oh
I'm getting all my tips off Patrick
cliver and stuff I speak to him like wow
full of a sign of proper Striker he was
terrible he couldn't score a goal and
then we moved him back into defensive
Midfield joins Tottenham becomes one of
the best midfielders you've ever seen in
your life like look at Joe Linton Joe
Lynn as a striker bang average he's a
pretty good midfielder he done a very
good job in that role so yeah it
definitely definitely helps uh Darren
here says the edu outcrowd are in
schools today they can't watch
I like it there and I like it in Bape to
Real Madrid this summer what's the
situation
I mean I don't know I don't cover Real
Madrid close enough to to know whether
that's uh feasible this summer I'll be
amazed if he's actually available in
Real Madrid allow anybody else to get
involved in that conversation is my main
one I mean that seems like the club he
has to end up at what you want to happen
here is that man United's takeover does
go ahead and that they just think let's
go for it let's go for it because you've
got you might as well if you're going to
have those cash reserves suddenly made
available to you and you actually go and
play catch-up in the Premier League and
make a splash the first thing you do is
go and try and bid for him Pepe I know
it's like the most obvious thing he
doesn't want to be a center forward and
you've already got like rashford out on
the left but you might have to be like
I'm sorry Marcus like you are good you
have to become that nine for a little
bit mate because we're putting in beppe
up there or just flip them over but I
would like to see that that takeover
happened in the united bid just to
basically go head to head from Backpage
this summer it'd be it would be a great
little twist in this transfer window not
like we need one we've got enough
stories as it is absolutely
a question here from the Spurs fans and
any news on vandervin
yeah I have to say like this is this
one's being closer guarded than the
other
[Music]
um
the other targets that they've had so I
definitely believe that there's a
Pursuit there but I've probably heard
more about like tapsible than I have of
that one as I mentioned at the top they
were they were interested in gay he and
probably not going to explore that one
anymore
um but yeah there's there's definitely
something in there I I just don't think
I have the
as a journalist you have certain ends
with different uh whether it's agents or
whatever and sometimes you have like
full exposure to like the ins and outs
of how things open up so like like I
knew Madison had a very strong chance of
happening to Tottenham but then a
southern another transfer could be
happening into the club soon after
and you barely hear anything about it
just because the conversations that
happened aren't with the same people
that came about the other way so but
there's enough there that van der Vern
is definitely uh in the picture yeah
yeah no doubt I mean I don't know much
about him personally but I've seen
obviously Fabrizio doing exclusive about
he's on a short list now but I've
actually read that Christian Eric
Christian Romero might leave Tottenham
this summer which would be very which
but you know what we're talking about
Trent Rivals of the years look very good
on the ball awful Defender changes
position and you get called a hater the
amount of Rivals that have said for all
the good things Romero does he's a
liability be very interested in the new
manager comes in and says I need him
gone because I can't trust the build
around and sometimes it's almost it's
hard for sometimes you to swallow when a
lot of man united fans have gone through
that pain this year of saying Donnie van
the bank and martial and uh Sancho are
going to cook and go to world-class
levels under this manager and Bruno's
and rash fizzle skulk off into the
darkness and it went in the complete and
opposite way some some you know
sometimes you hold an opinion on
somebody based through like love or
loyalty but actually in reality you're
completely wrong about them but you know
love is blind as they say so it's gonna
be interesting to see what goes on a lot
of people saying Romero not leaving
Spurs Lola I'm not saying he is I'm
saying I've read reports I'm just saying
it's really interesting like there's
there's not let's not act like we
haven't seen shock transfers already
this summer
um and that's what that Romero to man
united no thank you we've already got
two better center-backs three better
center-backs Luke Shaw's a better Center
back than him so I don't want him there
we go
um Dean always a pleasure to speak
transfers with you I'm sure
it feels like we spoke this week when
all the real exciting stuff's already
ended maybe yeah maybe next time
build up again yeah yeah the mounts and
the cane stories onanas I say I like a
couple of rest days though I do like it
though it is nice sometimes just to talk
about Medicals and the Fallout from it
because literally in the last up until
today the previous 48 hours they end up
streaming like six times but it was at
random times I was literally about to go
to bed the other night back to our bed
and the the Tweet came out that Austin
would bid one eleven o'clock tweet going
out yeah oh gotta stream and then I was
up again first thing in the morning I
did a whole video recorded it edit it
done the thumbnail and then another like
I had to do another live stream so I
couldn't even release that video so in
the last two days that haven't been
released because the news changed so
quickly say it's been a Madness unseen
footage you need another channel for
that stuff
true but sometimes they're out of date
because one of them would have all been
fine but in the video I talk about maybe
maybe City will beard maybe City will do
this maybe City will do that literally I
finished recording and sit here pull out
the deal
any other video because that's in it and
it was again me talking about it from a
fan point of view uh but listen viewers
