6:00 Overview: which VPN is better - surfshark or ivacy?
I can say that despite the fact surfshark is stronger overall, both services are pretty close to each other. However, ivacy VPN is not my first choice when it comes to torrenting or performance. So if you are looking for a cheap VPN that can also provide you with greater security and faster speed, surfshark VPN is your safe bet.

Okay, let's jump right into the Ivacy versus Surfshark
2021 comparison, starting with performance.
Everyone wants a fast VPN with lots of servers
and those to comply.
Surfshark offers 3,200 servers in 65 countries.
Ivacy VPN loses in the latter with only 50 countries
to choose from, but it has more than 3,500 servers.
But what about speed?
Surfshark leads here with the WireGuard protocol,
providing a very consistent and fast connection.
Check out the Surfshark speed test with my baseline speed.
I can expect minimal speed drops
when I'm running WireGuard.
Now the OpenVPN protocol,
which both Surfshark and Ivacy VPN have is not as fast.
I mean, yes, unfortunately days of Ivacy WireGuard
implementation are not yet upon us.
So we have to settle with OpenVPN and IKEv2 for now.
Still I can expect decent speed with both VPNs
while OpenVPN protocol is used.
You can see here that despite the speed drop,
I'm able to load pages and watch videos
in high quality, just as fine.
However, SurfShark is ultimately faster
when using WireGuard and why use a slower service
when you have a fast one?
This round of SurfShark versus Ivacy is settled,
but how about security?
In terms of security, there are a lot of points to check.
To begin with both VPNs use the same encryption,
AES-256 bit type, one of the best around yet.
They also both have a kill switch.
However, Ivacy has this feature missing on Apple devices.
One thing I like to outline is privacy.
Surfshark VPN is solid here.
It's located in the privacy friendly location
of the British Virgin Islands.
It also has a watertight, No-Logs Policy.
Ivacy VPN, on the other hand is
within the Singapore jurisdiction,
which makes it a part
of the Five Eyes Intelligence Alliance.
It does have No-Logs Policy, however.
What security features can make up for that?
Ivacy VPN offers split tunneling, DDoS attack protection
and secure downloading.
In comparison, Surfshark has malware and ad blocker,
CleanWeb, split tunneling feature, Whitelister,
multi-hop and stealth protocol with CamouFlage mode.
There's also ID protection.
GPS spoofing on Android and incognito search.
Plus let's not forget an antivirus add-on
on Windows and Android.
In terms of features, privacy and even security in general,
Surfshark offers more than Ivacy VPN.
It doesn't matter how you cut it,
but enough about serious stuff.
Let's have some fun with streaming content.
I sure did when testing those VPNs.
Surfshark for one worked wonders for me.
Thanks to Surfshark,
Netflix libraries from all over the world
are available to me, and I managed to unblock a couple
of geoblocked streaming platforms as well.
My streams were loading fast and experienced no buffering
or lags when using Surfshark.
Furthermore, I even managed to run it on Amazon Firestick
and thanks to the smart DNS feature,
you'd be able to run it on any smart TV.
Ivacy VPN is not much different in main details.
It has servers dedicated to specific streaming platforms
and they work just as expected.
With Ivacy VPN Netflix, Disney Plus,
and some other platforms were really easy to access.
Even despite the lower performance,
I managed to stream without disturbance,
I can safely say that it's a draw.
Both services provide extremely
high quality streaming experience.
Torrenting is also a way to get some fun.
At least lots of people use it that way.
For P2P file sharing,
both Surfshark's and Ivacy VPN
allows P2P traffic on select servers.
Both also offers Split Tunneling for simplicity,
while Ivacy VPN goes a step further
providing a free SOCKs5 proxy,
effectively crossing the gap between itself and Surfshark
created by the performance of the latter.
Once again, it's well-deserved draw,
nothing to say here.
Can this chain of draws continue
when I discuss customer support?
Maybe, maybe not.
What I know for sure is that most people
don't care about classical customer support measures.
Self-help libraries are boring and ticket systems are slow.
Both are present for these VPNs though,
but most importantly,
there's a 24/7 live chat for both services
and I've conversed with guys on each side.
What can I say?
I've been offered help with my Surfshark app
and Ivacy VPN issues,
advice and consolation where needed.
Customer support works
as clockwork for SurfShark and Ivacy.
So it's a draw again.
But surely this chain is over with pricing.
We've discussed this before a thousand times.
Surfshark is the best value for money VPN on the market
with the unlimited device limit to back it up.
But guess what?
Ivacy VPN also has an unlimited device limit
and drum roll, please, a lower overall price.
Well, this is only true for a rare five-year plan.
Still Surfshark offers higher pricing
for the two year plan.
On the flip side, Surfshark free trial is seven days long,
while Ivacy VPN has only a single day trial.
You can get a seven day trial for just a dollar,
but that's no longer free is it?
Both do you have a 30-day money back guarantee,
but that's more or less expected at this point.
All in all, I have to conclude this is a draw again.
The pricing is really close here and all points considered,
there isn't much in both VPNs to really drive
in that difference,
but you might have a different point of view,
so don't hesitate to leave a comment with your opinion.
You can also subscribe and check Surfshark review 2021
and Ivacy VPN review on our channel.
In conclusion for this Ivacy versus Surfshark comparison,
I can say that despite the fact
that Surfshark is stronger overall,
both services are pretty close to each other.
You can get a good experience when streaming and torrenting
with both, making Ivacy VPN a really good
cheap option for those things.
However, if you're looking for a cheap VPN that can
also provide you with greater security and faster speed,
SurfShark VPN is your first choice here.
Hope you enjoyed the comparison
and I'll see you soon with another video, peace.
