DreamWorks is Making Fun of Disney in Their New Movie

Krakens have protected the Seas keeping

us safe from the most power-hungry and

dangerous creature of all the mermaid

Ruby Gilman teenage Kraken includes this

mermaid that just so happens to have red

hair and blue eyes she's also the main

villain not only that but the movie is

coming out around the same time as

Disney's live-action Little Mermaid I

see what you're doing DreamWorks and I'm

loving it

so the marketing for Ruby Gilman is now

in full swing and with it we have more

similarities to The Little Mermaid this

story centers around a teenager named

gee I don't know into the epic fight

between Kraken and mermaids Chelsea the

mermaid is loved by the people the

ultimate Queen who doesn't have a single

flaw except that's all an act while the

character design screams Ariel a new

promo makes the confirmation

know about mermaids

is completely wrong

you just got played dum-dum

wow this Angelic singing in

semi-realistic school of fish is meant

to make you groan and think oh another

teaser for a live-action Little Mermaid

when in reality that couldn't be further

from the truth Ruby Gilman is coming out

literally one month after this and

that's unbelievably perfect timing it

could also work to the movie's benefit

if you're one of those people who

couldn't care less about another Disney

Live Action remake but you want to spite

Disney in some way watching Ruby would

be an awesome alternative on the flip

side if you're a big fan of The Little

Mermaid maybe you'll want to see more

mermaid Shenanigans and this is what to

see next of course Ruby isn't the only

time DreamWorks did this kind of thing

in fact the entire Studio was started by

Jeffrey katzenberg who is Chairman for

Walt Disney Studios before deciding to

leave and to take action himself over

the years there movies have had fun Jabs

at Disney the original Shrek was packed

with wild references and while we're on

the topic of mermaids remember this

Shrek accidentally kisses a red-haired

mermaid her face hidden from the screen

Fiona then drags her across the Sands

and throws her back in the ocean where

sharks have an absolute Feast Jesus

Christ if that doesn't tell you

everything you need to know about the

Rivalry then nothing will now fast

forward to 2017 and DreamWorks gave us

the boss baby say whatever you want

about the movie itself but one of their

trailers was actually kinda clever it

came out around the same time as live

action Beauty into the Beast so here's

what they decided to do come one step

closer and I'll illuminate you with a

soft glow and I'll clean your clock oh

ah I'm blimey

but overall Ruby Gilman continues a

long-running battle between these

Animation Studios aside from the whole

parody aspect the movie just looks like

a genuinely fun time it's an original

story not based on anything and it has

solid animation with phenomenal color

design DreamWorks is already in one of

their Peak eras so let's hope they can

keep it going
