here are my 10 tips for you guys to

survive the national card show this is

my third one and I can't wait to meet

all of you here we have 34 days left if

you're wondering if you're in the right

place as soon as you see these and you

see these doors right here you've made

it

to the promised land the best card show

in the world this is the door you enter

when you come to the Nationals when I

come in I usually pick up my media badge

over there a lot of you guys when you

come in for general admission it's going

to be over there take your picture from

the national I think it's a great way to

create a memory take the picture here

trust me especially if it's your first

one you got to create a memory document

would never let that happen this is

where the national card show will be

hosted in this exact room tip number one

bring cash a lot of vendors here do not

take credit cards or if they do PayPal

or venmo you're going to get a better

deal if you pay with cash that's the

simple way to do it if you go to a

dollar box and you pick out 15 worth of

cards there's a better chance of you

offering five to seven dollars and

getting it with cash you're gonna pay

with the card and PayPal they're gonna

say no I need you to do 10 or 12. how

much cash should I bring think about how

much you want to budget for your sports

cards divide it up into PC money

flipping and investor money and kind of

like go from there and guess what if you

only have a hundred dollars that's okay

too let me tell you if you see me on

this National Floor come say what's up

come ask me a question about the hobby

if we're filming you know we're doing

something wait till after come say

number two dress comfortably you see

this outfit I'm wearing I would wear

shorts I can't handle the jeans it's

going to get hot in here you're going to

be going through a bunch of cards some

khaki shorts a nice t-shirt maybe a

jersey and please for the love of God

wear deodorant we need deodorant on top

though these mannequins are dressed nice

you don't want to be like these guys

they're cool too cool tip number three

pace yourself it's okay to be

overwhelmed this room is huge over 50

000 collectors but the key is someone's

going through exactly what you're going

through

I personally get nervous at card shows

thinking I didn't bring enough money I

should I missed out on that card you

know no regrets live in the moment enjoy

it tip number four bring snacks and stay

hydrated keep drinking water bring some

trail mix the food here is not great I

love trail mix I love protein bars and I

love coffee you like DeMarcus Cousins

tip number five be social there's

extroverts there's introverts there's

extra introverts there's intro

extroverts we're here as a community

you're here with thousands of people who

love the hobby just as much as you do

and if you're a little scared and you

have social anxiety this is a great

chance to get comfortable with the

uncomfortable and channel in some new

experiences and new memories so channel

that in and have a great time

don't feel regret we're here to have a

good time so don't feel obligated a lot

Fields doesn't mean you have to buy

don't buy anything at all I appreciate

the hobby for what it is you know

there's great events here it doesn't all

happen at the national it happens on

these floors it happens at the Lowe's

hotel at trade night it's not all about

buying it's the experience that is

priceless and that's what we're looking

at tip number eight bring a bag bring

your Zion case and if you don't have a

size 15 shoes in a basketball I fit so

many cards my laptop my camera my

sweatshirt you don't have to get a Nike

Elite backpack but just bring a backpack

trust me and if you don't have a tote

bag trust me you're gonna get tote bags

you're gonna get t-shirts you're gonna

get hats go rake in all the free merch

you can get tip number nine the

foundation of this hobby trade night

these were some of the best deals the

best memories and the best connections

happen in this Hobby and you're probably

wondering where is trade night trade

night is at the Lowe's Hotel the Lowe's

hotel and card shops Brands will host

collaborative trade nights like car

collector 2 and Kentucky basketball

cards Kentucky Roadshow they collaborate

on a huge trade on every single year

you'll find out through social media and

you'll find out by Word of Mouth where

the trade night is but if you're ever

worried and it's like 10 o'clock at

night just show up to the Lowe's hotel

that's exactly where trade night is

you'll see a bunch of people in the

lobby Bringers on case out always watch

your cards because sometimes stuff

happens be careful crossing the street

trust the boys in blue tip number 10

if you can't make it to the National

that's okay don't worry about it because

myself and hundreds of other people will

be posting content which you guys can

view from your home we'll be posting

content every single day on our

first national I had no idea what I was

Exquisite cards and all the tops chrome

refractor LeBron James my advice to you

is take it all in and just check out

these cool cards what in the world is

what not doing at the national this

early uh this is crazy all right but not

soon crafting now I didn't even know

this was here I know for a fact that

there's people in there that are just as

passionate as we are about sports cards

and they're probably just as passionate

about crafting the SE people are there's

content creators in here yo they're

streaming

it's great it looks great we found it

all so we came to

like talk to other people businesses

retailers all that kind of stuff see if

we can get some more people to join we

actually live in a vet in two weeks um a

Christmas in July shop hop so we're

trying to get some people for that

Consultants of the dollar yes so it's

more like fabric like quilting

um Notions like any like needles

anything like that um knitting

crocheting so needles yarn that kind of

stuff yeah Black Ops doing everything
