a interview revealed what we all
suspected for quite a long time but now
it's out there and that's the fact that
shangshi 2 was set to release after an
Avengers film but with constant delays
and reshuffles within Marvel Studios he
doesn't know anything now and he hasn't
been told a single thing

so if you guys missed the news last year
when they revealed the Kang Dynasty and
Avengers Secret Wars there was also
other filings about a handful more
filings and registered trademarks for
other Marvel Studios projects that were
not announced among these was of course
shanxi and the wreckage of time AKA
shung she too and everybody was stating
that this film was gonna happen right
after Avengers the Kang Dynasty and it
was going to bridge the gap to Secret
Wars and the same director of course the
director of shangshi 1 is doing Kang
Dynasty and he was going to be doing
shangshi too so these were kind of going
to be companion pieces and then
obviously delays happen production
delays reshuffles and everything like
that shutdowns writer strikes and so
forth and now the thing is in some sort
of limbo and what simulu told people
asking him is the fact that he knew that
film was set to follow the next Avengers
but now it's Way Beyond his control and
he's not sure what's gonna happen so if
we look at it originally May 1st of 2026
was supposed to be the Kang Dynasty
and then same year we were gonna get
secret Wars but then they bumped that
back a year so chances are that that
summer release date between the two at
the time was going to be shangshi and
then it was going to be at some point
between them two when there was a year
in between them but now they're pushed
back even further so chances are that
they're trying to either fit the film in
before and completely redo it so it
doesn't factor into the Kang Dynasty or
it's gonna take a lot more time to get
out because again it's a companion piece
and it definitely confirms everything we
heard about it so let's hope things um
get back on track because I really want
a sequel I mean I talked about it before
shangshi is in my top five MCU films so
I desperately want more and um I just
hope that they can get it out and not
rush it
