Ontario Science Centre - Toronto Canada - Exploring The Wonders of Science and Space

In today's video we take trip to Ontario Science Centre to explore the wonders of science and space. Ontario Science Centre is located just outside Toronto city centre, opening in 1969 the science centre attracts nearly 1 million visitors per year.

The science centre is spread across 6 levels comprising of both permanent and temporary exhibits. On level 1 you have the IMAX theatre showing various science and nature related films.

As you move through the science centre you move down and go up in levels, moving to level 2 you have a hall for the temporary exhibits, during our visit they were in the process of installing Bug Lab, this is a travelling exhibit that originated in New Zealand created by New Zealand's National Museum in conjunction with Weta Workshop, the SFX studio that worked on the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogies among other things. https://www.ontariosciencecentre.ca/what-s-on/exhibitions/bug-lab

Moving onto level 3 we have the seasonal outdoor terrace, featuring various sculptures and activities for all ages.

As we move down to level 4 we have KidSpark and the Space Hall, this area has some great hands on exhibits for children up to the age of 8. In the Space Hall you have a planetarium and various exhibits dedicated to the exploration of space.

On level 5 you have a whale skeleton and the Question of Trust exhibit.

Finally on level 6 we have a number of exhibits including the temporary exhibit Planet Ice: Mysteries of the Ice Ages, exploring the ice age, it's animals and how everyone adapted to the harsher climates. You also have the AstraZeneca Human Edge experience, this is an exploration of the human body and how it's adapted. You also have the hair raising experience and a number of smaller interactive exhibits.

Entrance to the Ontario Science Centre starts at C$13 for children and up to C$22 for adults, you can also experience the science centre using the Toronto CityPass which is C$96 per adult and includes entrance to 5 attractions in Toronto including CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium, Casa Loma, Royal Ontario Museum and you can choose Ontario Science Centre or Toronto Zoo, we'll have videos up for all of these attractions.
