El Torneo de Candidatos de 2024 es el torneo que decide el retador por la corona mundial que ostenta actualmente Ding Liren. En las dos últimas ocasiones, lo ganó GM Ian Nepomniachtchi, pero en esta ocasión también lo acompañarán los Grandes Maestros Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu, Fabiano Caruana, Nijat Abasov, Vidit Gujrathi, Hikaru Nakamura, Alireza Firouzja y Gukesh Dommaraju. Canadá será la sede del segundo torneo presencial más importante del año.
