salina, N.Y. — It is now confirmed that a syracuse police officer and an onondaga County Sheriff's Office deputy were shot and killed in salina Sunday night.
According to syracuse Police Chief Joseph Cecile, the officer killed was on the job for about three years. Sheriff Toby Shelley described the deputy killed as a seasoned deputy.
