Cloud Seeding: Dürrebekämpfung oder gefährliches Experiment?

Die Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate erzeugen mit Hilfe von Cloud seeding bis zu 35 % mehr Regen. Dabei geben Flugzeuge Chemikalien an Wolken ab und dadurch fängt es dann an zu regnen . Cloud seeding soll das Wasserproblem in der Wüste lösen und die Arabische Emirate investieren deshalb mehrere 100 Mio. Dollar in die Technologie und präsentieren sie auch ziemlich stolz, wie ich zum Beispiel auf der COP in dubai sehen konnte. Allein 2020 gab es 390 Cloud Seeding Einsätze und in diesem Jahr sollen weitere 300 stattfinden.
