In this video, I'm showing you a few different ways to fold your suit and dress shirts for travel.
You may also like to read about:
what's up fellas it's great to see you
and as always I'm glad that you're here
in today's video we're gonna talk a
little bit about travel and how I
personally fold roll and pack my suits
sport coats and dress shirts I'm running
a couple different camera angles so you
can see exactly what I'm doing so please
stick around alright fellas I'm going to
show you a couple different ways to do
this the first thing I always do though
is I'll start with every other button
buttoned all the way down the placket I
will then take the shirts and flip it
upside down okay so we're doing sort of
that department store fold on this one
I'd like to put a finger right here next
to the collar and you're basically
folding that whole half of the shirt
over take the sleeve and the sleeve is
just going to go straight down the back
of the shirt eliminating as many
wrinkles as I possibly can take the
other side same thing fold the whole
half of that shirt back over on itself
take the sleeve and just let it just it
just kind of wants to relax right in
this position here so from here guys you
can do one of a couple things you can
fold it in thirds and have a very nice
flat package or what you can do
depending on what you've got like a
duffel bag or a suitcase depending on
like how tight you want your bundle to
be here taken you can roll it like this
and a nice little soft roll and that
gives you a nice compact little bundle
and this works really really well one
thing I wanted to add here really quick
though feather looks like this isn't a
magic potion that will eliminate
wrinkles entirely typically when I'm
traveling I'm either staying at a hotel
a relative's house or some type of air
B&B where I do have access to an iron
an ironing board what this is doing by
folding your items enrolling them in
this manner is you're eliminating those
big heavy like press wrinkles and seams
that you get if you just sort of fold an
item over on itself and then have a
bunch of other items in your suitcase
weighted down on it alright guys so
before we get into the suit jacket and
sport coat I want to do this first
because this is going to come into play
here in just a minute
trousers very simple guys we're folding
these in half you can fold them you can
roll them I like to do the roll
so I'll start to bottom kind of roll and
pull roll and pull keep the wrinkles out
as best you can and then you end up with
a little roll just like this again I'm
gonna set this aside because this is
going to come into play in just a moment
alright guys the first method I want to
show you to fold your suit jacket or
sport coat is put your hands inside just
like this and then bring your hands
together like you're clapping your hands
a little bit and then grab with one hand
both shoulder pads pop the collar up
like this and then take the shoulder
pads and pull them through you're kind
of turning your jacket inside out and at
this point you can let go and line up
your lapel make sure your notches are
nice and lined up from here guys take
the shoulder pads you just pulled
through and push them back through this
way and as you can see your jacket is
folded very nicely right in half from
here fold it over and you can pack this
in your suitcase just like that alright
guys the next method I want to show you
is starting similarly as you did the
last time but take one shoulder pad just
one and pull it through inside out then
take the other arm and put it into the
shoulder pad you're kind of turning your
jacket inside out at this point okay
from here as you can see your jacket is
nicely folded in half to make this more
compact take your trousers so what you
end up with is kind of since your
shoulder pads on this end or a lot
then the lapel and right here you're
just going to sort of add a buffer for
the lapel just like this from here you
just gently roll your suit in a nice
little bundle just like this and it will
pack just like this nice and compact all
right guys one more thing you can do if
you have a nice sort of travel garment
bag like this this one's from suits
apply my suit is in here on the hanger
you're basically folding the hanger end
over and then you fold the bottom half
over and this is so cool that's got
zippers all the way down you can just
carry this it's got handles on it just
like that or you can just lay this flat
down in your suit or in your suitcase
right on top so guys if you enjoy men's
lifestyle content like this geared for

up button it really does make the big
difference guys I appreciate each and
every one of you thanks so much for
watching and I'll see you next week in a
brand new video
