okay so the service we are talking about

today is prime streams yes okay super

popular name guys catchy name actually i

really like it obviously uh branded off

of the transformers movie optimus prime

etc etc uh and today we're talking about

how they're targeted from a

multi-million dollar lawsuit so let's

just get right into it guys you guys

want the nitty gritty you guys want the

detail now prime streams was one of the

most notable pirate iptv brands uh

for quite a few years guys okay it's

been popular i think as of now it's

completely offline so this might be uh

for some of you that have been using it

uh you know old news as of a few weeks

or so whenever they completely turn

their service off if you do know let me

know down below in the descriptions

but they are now being sued in the

united states you're going to be pretty

surprised by who

just kidding but this is actually the

same service that was hacked back in

2019 um so we go here they talk about

the the 70k uh extortion attempt

some hackers got some information but

you surprisingly and i say this

seriously um

prime streams actually went to the

subscribers and just literally told them

what's up we said hey guys like it's

shitty they got some information but um

we're going to continue to move on and

move forward um and i don't think they

ended up paying that and yeah so

hats off to them you know a lot of the

time we just hear of peop companies in

general whether you're talking about uh

i don't know potentially a legal iptv

service or a legitimate company right

they hide that information um so hats

off to them obviously they're not um you

know scumbags right scumbags would hide

that information so

um and even torn free kind of shouts it

out here so let's talk about who's suing

them

surprise surprise okay surprise it's

it's dish network okay dish network

sling tv

which i actually do like sling tv i'm

not going to hate too much accuses prime

streams of infringing on their rights on

a grand scale via their internet

rebroadcasting operation so most of you

know how iptv works for now they get

these signals from somewhere they bypass

the dmca and he filters and they

rebroadcast online through their servers

um they you know there's a lot of

different ways they can do this

uh and then they package it up and they

sell it in super affordable um you know

prices right whether it's 10 15 20

whatever dollars you guys know how that

works right now so the defendant's

provided an illicit streaming service

known as prime streams that allows users

without authorization uh plaintiff's

internet communication of television

programs that were acquired by

circumventing the security measures

implemented by the plaintiff so they do

put in certain security measures to make

sure hey you can't record you can't

rebroadcast you know a a very simple

example is if i try to uh use my

internal capture card

and record a video and i'm recording

netflix now i'm not recording it to you

know re-broadcast but i'm recording it

just to help you guys with something um

you know there's a notice that pops up

hdcp so there's different levels of

protection um based on your device based

on the service themselves

so the plaintiffs of legends that

scrojins which is one of the the people

uh noted

um

so he's a resident of burlington

kentucky and daughtry a resident of oh

so that's the other guy's daughtry a

resident of havana illinois i like that

name is that that rihanna song havana

are the co-owners of prime streams it's

alleged that they use uh descroge

investments llc to process payments for

the service okay so on so forth uh guys

before we go any further not a vpn cell

but one of the interesting parts is they

are being sued right now

but if you go to their home page it's

not taking over but instead they put

their own

little disclaimer here saying due to

recent litigation passing congress we

have

we have had to take our subscription

service offline please refer so

you know i wasn't 100 sure if this was

um

either the company whether that's sling

whatever saying hey we want you to put

this message up if you're not going to

give us the domains or if they just

decided to do like kind of like a

preliminary like hey

we know we're

we know we're screwed um

let's go ahead and jump the ship you

know cancel things off see if we can

save face a little bit with the judge

and hopefully get the lowest possible

punishment and that's kind of my

thinking there with what they did

um and it really does make the most

sense when you look at things um and

honestly it's not a bad strategy like

these guys uh you know

these guys that run these services a lot

of the times it is a money game um

whether you know we it doesn't really

matter what side you're on people want

to profit right whether you're doing it

legal illegally whatever third party it

doesn't matter people want to make money

you know we live

in a society that's so driven by money

so with that being said um they wanted

to make money it seems like they made

probably quite a bit of money whether

that's three four five six you know a

couple million or a couple hundred

thousand and now they're just down to

jump that's the way it goes and

honestly i i don't i don't i don't hate

them for that um i think it makes

perfect sense

so dish and slings say their internet

transmission are secured using digital

rights management drm technologies

including google's widevine which we've

talked about widevine in the past

apple's fair fair play drm and

microsoft's play ready drm i think

google's is the most advanced and i

think it's also free for companies to

use utilize utilizing key based

encryption and decryption process these

systems are developed to ensure that

only authorized subscriptions can access

the platform so it's their way of making

sure

uh that people can't circumvent that

technology

uh now guys before we go any further um

listen as a youtuber i do need to make a

living off this i do get hate in the

uh direct sales and resellers this is

their service was ten dollars a month um

domains for roughly ten dollars a month

with longer periods and additional uh

connections for multiple range so you

know how they have different levels it's

like any other service really just way

that were resellers typically the

resellers have nothing to worry about

legally it's really the main services

they want to they can't go after

everybody it's just the reality although

we have seen new cases where they they

think of trying to go after consumers

but you know it's really just these

bs letters right

so the complaints state that around 24

21 the defendants were notified that

their service violates federal laws

here's some stuff from prime hosting

pinpointing an exact damage figure is

impossible and it is impossible at the

stage given the available information

combined with the lynch breaches of the

fca it could easily be in the tens of

millions

and i really think that's why they

they put that notice there they're

saying hey we're good leave us alone we

don't want the smoke that's what it kind

of comes off as guys um but anyways i
