in today's video we are going to look at

the financial side of this club of Chess

hunt as we finish season one and go into

season two so we will jump forward so

you can see how I have worked on the

squad the staff and the whole round Club

to make sure that we have a profitable

football club going forward in this

football manager Journey now make sure

expected to finish Rock Bottom

completely rock bottom and we didn't do

that we end up finishing 14th Place and

always chess and we're finished in 14th

Place 115 Drew falling lost 17. with the

ability of this Squad in season one I am

absolutely delighted with where we

finished now we did bring in some former

Premier League Legends to help us

progress into this position of 14th and

give us the the starting blocks to start

piecing things together in Journeys on

football manager it always takes me a

few years to build the idea I have

within a club and I'm hoping we stick

around the chest and long enough to do

that

um in case just just I'll do worry some

other very exciting jobs might pop up

and you never know but for now we are

building chess fund and if we do move on

from this club we are leaving them in a

very very stable position now if we look

at how the the season went as a whole

and top goal scorer for the season was

the bird who we played as a Target man

on support and as I've said before if

you want to go and check out the tactics

used in this first season make sure you

five assists second top goal scorers our

left Winger inside forward inside Winger

13 goals 11 assists and then 12 goals

for Harris then you've got eight rounds

we had three players in double figures

for a club expected finish bottom very

pleased with that and we had three

players also getting in double figures

for the assists Zach Newton

um dejeune golden and then Ryan Taylor

the former Premier League player from a

Newcastle player with 10 assists Falls

from Center mid he is retiring at the

end of the season so thank you Ryan for

your support very very very much welcome

very much welcome

um so if we're going to the competition

as you can see we've we were especially

five very against relegation we came

14th we were expected to be competitive

in FA Cup we went through to the fourth

qualifying round be competitive in the

build base we're gonna knock down the

third round but it was a very heavily

rotated Squad I had no interest in

staying in that competition um I was

very much focused on just the lead

performances Etc so I put out a week

inside in that competition so if we're

going to the club Vision one thing I

want to monitor as we go on our social

media so we are ending season one with

4.2 K followers 80 season ticket holders

and um yeah 13 31 23 11 fair weather so

we have a 31 call that's gone up to what

it was and they expected us got the

battles better of uh Enfield town which

we didn't play and become established in

National League South which we did so

they are very very pleased with us so

moving on to the financial side of

things we have 15

000 profit this Season 75

866 in the bank we got our wage budget

current spending down to

3366 and by the end of the season it was

obviously High when we took over at the

start of the Season we've worked really

really hard on that and in terms of

players who actually picked up a wage

there is still quite a few but not too

many the issue we have is quite a lot of

them and not even going to be in our

Squad next season

um so we've got to make sure that

O'Neill Stan plays gone in season two

actually picking up a wage at this club

a little side note our under 18s in the

Northeast League which I did report the

book for I currently well finished in

ninth place which is insane ahead of

South Shields faster Kingsland Bishop

stalford alfordton Catherine Scarborough

Saint Nielsen rugby so really really

pleased with that I think it's a very

solid performance for what was a very

very weak under 18 Squad and the big

standout was is Reese green who I have

no contractor for a couple of years and

he ended up scoring if this um bug

disappears hinder's gone 24 goals in

um the under 18 league in 37 7 games so

I'm pleased with that I'm pleased with

that he did a solid job and for a player

at this level he looks like he has

something going into season two so let's

let's actually I was going to say let's

jump over season two but no I'm getting

too excited let's say I'm going to our

stuff so we're going to staff overview

all

and you can see this sour stuff here we

are currently spending a hoverboard down

2425 pounds a week on our staff

that's a lot of money at this level

2425 on our staff and currently I've

also marked down now we are currently

spending 1 370 on players who are

currently not in our starting Squad so

you can see some players down here who

who are contractor players getting a

weekly wage who don't play weekly in our

Squad so

we are gonna jump forward to the start

season two now you can see the changes

I've made hopefully we only paying

players who are actually playing

hopefully we've fixed our staff out and

I can explain what we did and yeah let's

let's jump forward okay so here we are

at the start of season two all the teams

have already played two games we've

never had a game yet so if you're going

to the financial side of things we now

have a hundred and forty three thousand

in the bank so straight away I'm

absolutely delighted with that if we go

on to this season the biggest income is

our sponsorship 79 000 we've got some

grants in Gateway seats Etc

um season tickets came in 21k a little

bit over last season and matches the

income so far as well has been a nice

bit of a boost

um so but no we are 143k in the bank and

I guess the positivists are at the end

of the season will we end in profit like

we did last season even after the month

after the season ended we lost a couple

more care

but we ended with a plus 10K

currently plus 72k I do have a lot of

confidence that we can end with a

positive bank balance at the end of this

season two so let's um let's check out

the stuff first shall we let's go to

stuff all

we have a slightly different looking

stuff screen now so we have gone from

spending 2

425 pounds a week to 1

270 pounds a week and the biggest

changes I have done is things like our

um loan manager our we had a loan

manager we had a technical director we

had a director of football all of these

staff rules are not needed in the law

leagues they are not needed in the law

league so they've all been removed I'm

in control of all that myself I have

after the new system Angeli Ashworth he

was a lot better than the old one he is

cost me 50 pounds a week more you can

see we've still got two Scouts but both

of them are now on non-contract

switching pick up at this level

so we have managed to cut a massive

amount on our wage over

150 pounds a week saved on our staff now

going under the squad size side of

things you can see this is my starting

squad for this season so at the minute

and yes we have some high earners we

have a striker you have 500 pounds from

Aston Villa youngster for example we

have a Winger uh golden who was with us

season one got a new contract now on 450

pounds but the key thing to look at now

is people who are not playing

are not getting paid we have a youngster

here on a youth contract on five pounds

a week and we have Reese green who this

season is going to stick playing the

dunray Reigns for another year but on 20

pounds a week he's not taking a big wage

and he is a player who I do think long

term a chess Hunt is going to be a top

player for them and that's why I want to

make sure he is contracted so he does

stick around came through the academy

really interesting really nice to have a

player who is going to stick around for

the long-term hope that this club at

least up until League two for example if

we do stick with this club for that long

but you can see I've made sure

that these people are getting paid per

week because if you include the fa

trophy if you have a good run if we have

a good one in the fa if we have a good

one in the FH trophy a good one in the

FA Cup we are going to play more games

than 52 weeks so it makes more sense I

just pay these players for 52 weeks

they're all on one year contracts so

it's like okay if they don't perform

they've gone after a year but I think

we've done some good business we've done

three weeks actually we've brought in

this young Studio used to play fast and

Villa so he's going to come in he was

actually a cap astonville as well so we

can see how he does we have changed our

backline a little bit given contracts to

Richardson bringing in Callum Davis for

a bit more experience of 30 years old

obviously we lost the former Premier

League player Ryan Taylor and Jamie

O'Hara and Carlos Edwards all have

retired now so we've had to kind of

rebuild a little bit another experience

playing Connor Taylor's coming can play

on the wing can play as an attacker as

well so unsure exactly where he is going

to fit but going in season two we are

looking at this kind of a tactic as a

third choice now we have our first two

which as I've said videos Linked In the

description uh to the first episode of

this little series I've got going but

this is the third tactic we put together

just to try to use the players we've got

within our Squad basically and but what

I want to be doing is if we are winning

the game comfortably these players won't

come on maybe this youngster because

we're only paying five pounds a week

maybe this power is locked because we're

not paying his wages but the ones for

example McManus 250 pounds every time he

plays the game might not play a game for

three months so we're not paying these

players any money to sit on the bench

we're not paying these players any money

not to be in the match day Squad so we

are going to massively massively save

money we've gone from paying 1 370

pounds a week to players who are not

even playing

to pay in 25 pounds a week and they are

both for youngsters who we actually want

to develop anyway in terms of what the

board won for this season they do want

us to try to avoid relegation again and

just be competitive into the

competitions so no real pressure there

and looked at the supporters though we

have improved the cause up to 32 from 31

there's summer to mention social media

following is up to 7.2 K so there's a

few came off turned up to see exactly

what's going on at chess hunt and we

have 91 season tickets and also 11 more

season ticket holders going into season
