Visiting a Football Club in Pakistan ⚽️🇵🇰

today we are at Karachi United officially my  favorite Pakistani football team we are joined  

by our friend Sabine you guys know from Kieran  foundation and hopefully we can meet some of  

the youngsters uh who are training for correct  United because there's an incredible story here  

uh about some of these youngsters who are going  to school the Kiran foundation and playing for  

Karachi United a message of hope and love and  kindness and I think you'll enjoy this video  

so let's uh take a quick peek at correct United  and see if we can meet some youngsters very good

oh yo you guys this is so cute all the under 12s  

down the line are introducing themselves  and saying their favorite player oh so nice

Canada's national team oh nice one Steve I  don't think she knows one soccer player your  

favorite player Neymar all right so clearly it's  a full age program here break down from the very  

youngsters to the 12 14 and then the uh over 16  year old players and evidently there's actually  

a girls program uh way over there so pretty nice  grounds overall with the painted bleachers and  

a bunch of different football pitches but one of  the main reasons we wanted to bring it here today  

was because Sabine has some amazing athletes  that we'd love to tell this story okay so um  

tell me about your football journey in liari and  in Kiran Foundation yeah hello my name is nin I am  

a 15 year old uh I'm a professional footballer I  was a student I was a street footballer in Larry  

due to financial issues I left to I left  to I left to school I'll go six here there

I go to I I become a good footballer and and  went to Qatar where we won against wow current  

foundation and can you thought about my education  with eight months I passed a test of the school

inshallah one day will be a my day  inshallah thank you thank you Kiran  

foundation and international and thank  you so much Mom Sabina and Mom Sabine

so well

good job very amazing so to be clear the story is  he was out of school when he was nine years old  

right and was training with Karachi United they  found him playing in the street of leary and he is  

a natural athlete if you watch him he's very good  athlete he's very coordinated and very explosive  

right and so Karachi United actually found out  that he was not in school and they called you guys  

here in foundation and said this kiddo needs to be  in school good footballer but also important to be  

in school which makes Karachi United my favorite  team in Pakistan what a nice story to uh realize  

one of your you know pre-teen athletes is not in  school and getting back in school and he's a total  

Superstar dude spoke well and same story goes  for duraman yes and Abdul Kareem who just left  

fantastic over here yeah they have brought back to  school amazing yeah and we provided them holistic  

training it's not just education we were enriching  them with social skills in many other softness and  

maybe English skills yeah because he spoke very  well it was very sharp oh that was so good okay  

let's keep watching and practice because uh  the sky is the limit for these youngsters

tell you what guys what a  difference a few years makes  

here's the youngsters I think he's just running  in circles almost and then just over here you've  

got a few years older but very organized and  very good so this is what you gotta train

where they were Runners up  in Saudi Arabia in the four  

Nation tournament wow International  athlete yes very good it never does

tell me about your journey your life in  football and in liari my name is 14 years old  

I I still I live in Larry and one day  selecting collecting me Karachi United

and we are going to Qatar we are  going to Qatar and Win Win by

to join join this we are not education we are not  

in school in school education  is supporting me and support me  

I I I am education this is a eighth class and a  initial one day will be a married inshallah and

um

they have lots of things to offer absolutely right  full of potential I want a struggle inshallah  

one day play the other countries information  never give our brother good job you can do it  

I tell you what all the guys keep mentioning that  they went to Qatar and they beat a Turkish Club I  

guess these kids beat a Turkish club which is  pretty us yeah that club is pretty pretty well  

known in turkey and some small town Pakistan  uh often not even in school local Grassroots  

kids beat turkey in Qatar screaming  and it will come true absolutely right  

so you're the coach of Karachi United fantastic  do you know how many teams there are in Pakistan  

is there a big soccer yeah absolutely so we're  ranked um 19 in the world in a number of teams but  

don't ask me what we ranked in terms of the actual  playing side of it uh we have about three to four  

thousand registered clubs and we must be having  you know tens of thousands of unregistered clubs

probably about 450 500 clubs wow so the  popularity of the sport is huge but in terms  

it hasn't channeled into actual success because  the major problem is post 12 13. not boys because  

I may have you an example was part of this trip  we took our Academy team together right now right  

and a lot of the boys you must have met here and  they actually beat Aspire which is Asian Champions  

and they have like facilities to you know ride up  their the best of the best but up to that age it's  

competitive but when they come back they don't  have that infrastructure they don't have that  

ecosystem they don't have the you know nutrition  uh competition all of that to grow and go to that  

level where they can take that leap so you know  we've already lost in the 60s we were like a  

pretty good football team welcome way back 1960s  and they lost about 30 40 years we've sort of not  

only uh stayed static but almost regressed so as  a result of that and you know we've got a lot of  

catching up to do because as you know football and  generally sport has moved on Sports sciences and  

nutrition and diet have become so much very  important a lot of these boys and even the  

women's team a lot of them coming from economic  backgrounds they don't have access to those kind  

of facilities even whatever we provide is you  know we're trying to do our best but there's  

a lot more that can be done well thanks for  your time coach thank you guys lovely to have  

you and as I said I offer stands anytime you can  visit if you guys like and if you want to get out
