The Sports streaming market has become insanely competitive in 2022 and it looks like it might get worse. YouTube TV has recently paid 2 Billion for the rights to stream this specific sport. As well Amazon has announced a possible push for more sporting content and a stand alone app. This could either shake things up for the good or the bad.

first of all happy New Year and 2023 to

all of my subscribers and all of you

that are watching today much like most

of you I've made myself a bunch of goals

that I'm gonna follow for like three

weeks and then probably give up but that

doesn't mean we shouldn't do it and that

doesn't mean we shouldn't try but one

company that for sure has some goals set

for 2023 is Amazon and it looks like

they're really making a push to dominate

or potentially steal a piece of the

market cap in the sports streaming

Market which has continued to grow over

the last year more and more services are

taking little bits of different sporting

events and offering them in your service

in their service I should say but that's

not necessarily a good thing actually I

think that's a really really bad thing

as you're gonna have to buy four

separate services and this leads to the

issue of why so many streaming services

has become such an issue but today we're

going to be talking about some updated

Sports streaming app news so make sure

you stick around for that full video hit

that subscribe button right down below

and give this video a big thumbs up

let's go ahead and get right into into

things and we're going to talk about

both Amazon and YouTube today because

both of them have made a little bit of

news when it talks to sports streaming

updates and that's what we're talking

about mainly today so let's head over to

our friends over at Amazon and it looks

like they want to create their own

Standalone Sports app now if you've had

Amazon Prime you know at times they've

offered

um football right it's usually Thursday

Night Football they've offered uh

premier league and stuff like that

different sporting events even some New

York Yankees games but it looks like

they're going to take it a step further

and create this app now the reason why I

think this is a bad thing is pretty

simple it's going to cost you a lot more

money these are no longer going to be

extra add-ons with Prime video this is

going to be a standalone service where

you're probably paying up to 50 60 maybe

even 75 to get access to all the content

now that's my initial thinking maybe

they'll potentially make it free or

cheaper for Prime members I just don't

see that company Sports is such a

valuable asset

um and it looks like they're coming for

it if Amazon comes for something if I'm

other companies I'm a little worried so

I'm interested to see where this goes in

the next little bits but once again I

think that could be relatively a bad

thing but when we look at NFL Sunday

Ticket YouTube actually won the bid to

now have the rights to play NFL Sunday

Ticket I think it's for like the next

seven years is usually what the contract

is yeah seven years right here but this

is going to pay the NFL

2 billion dollars per year for NFL

Sunday Ticket that's freaking insane

like I I don't know guys listen I'm a

football fan-ish but to pay two billion

dollars for NFL ticket seems crazy to me

this isn't going to be included with

regular YouTube TV if you already have a

subscription this is actually going to

be a dedicated add-on that you can put

onto your YouTube TV or you will be able

to most likely purchase it separately

now if we talk about prices it's most

likely going to be somewhere around

79.99 as that's what DirecTV charged and

it could even be more than that now I

think they're not going to charge more

just because

they want to increase the people using

YouTube TV they want to continue to grow

YouTube TV um so I think this is more of

a marketing move than all we need NFL

Sunday Ticket I think it's going to help

a lot for them but it's expensive right

and you might be able to buy a complete

package of YouTube TV for somewhere

around 150 whatever it's going to cost

but NFL games are extremely expensive

especially when you include the fact

that a lot of them are blacked out am I

wrong on that I think I'm right on that

depending on where you live it could be

an issue as well

um so you know big news from both

companies both trying to mainly push new

sporting content but this is the exact

stuff that leads to people using other

services right because it's so expensive

to be able to afford everything all in

one now really quickly before we go

anywhere if you have Netflix you're

going to want to check this out really

quickly I think you're going to be

really interested in this have you ever

noticed how your Netflix says top 10

shows in Canada or the U.S or the UK

your Netflix doesn't actually have all

of the content that Netflix owns in fact

it's limited to what country you're in

through Geo restrictions they actually

use your IP address to do that but if

you can get yourself a VPN like I have

here today you're going to see that I'm

able to set my VPN up to the United

States even though I'm in Canada you're

going to see it say connected here we're

going to reboot our Netflix here and

watch what happens just just give it a

quick little give it a quick little

watch here

as it boots up here we're going to

scroll down and you're going to notice

content that wasn't previously on here

top 10 shows in the US now so now I've

unlocked all of the US content that I

didn't have before and we can do the

same thing for the UK Australia using

this dedicated app that has tons of

different countries built into it we can

see all the locations right here so many

different countries and if you're

interested in a service like this down

below in the description of this video I

have a link for expressvpn it will bring

you to my dedicated page where you can

save yourself three extra months you get

three months free basically and a 30 day

money back guarantee so if you don't

like it cancel it get your money back I

appreciate it you guys are awesome thank

you so much for watching today's video

I'll see you in the next one
