hey all Russ here are very TV welcome

check it out this is laposa south

I was out here looking for some friends

they already left

but you can see there is a lot of rigs

out here yet

but it sure emptied out as well

a lot of people left town after the big

tent show

tis the season you know a lot of folks

that go down to Yuma

El Centro

they just spread out all over the place

look at the line up here

see now this part of La Posta South you

got the dumpsters and then you got the

sewer dumps

and these people line up and they'll sit

in line

for hours

unbelievable you can go in town and pay

five bucks or ten bucks

can be done in 10 minutes

but they'll just sit here

incredible

oh well to eat your own hey we're gonna

head to Tyson Welles the arts and crafts

shows in full swing right now we're

gonna go check it out

Blues Guys the weather is finally

and I mean finally starting to warm up

what a Charlie January normally we get

good days and bad days

this year is this plain cold

for the desert nothing like the rest of

the country

no snow here

part of coming down here

out here to ltvas it's 180 dollars you

can stay up to six months

here in the Dust Bowl

and then forty dollars for two weeks and

that gets dusty here all the ATVs look

at this like a freeway

and people still checking in

you'll find folks they'll stay clear

into April

I think can kick you out of here right

after April 1st somewhere around there

then you can pay a little extra I didn't

get extra two weeks out of it then

everyone has to leave

BLM they send crews out they clean up

all summer long

the amount of trash that's left behind

is incredible they haul

truckloads out every year

I was talking about the BLM guys that he

said it's just amazing

but they got to clean up every single

year you know on the other side there on

the left that's Tyson washed they're

putting in the new

sewer dumps and Facilities should be

interesting they're working on it right

now

all right I'm gonna make a left here on

cue and

a lot of traffic heading south

you know Yuma

they got that outdoor Market down there

that keeps going

plus a lot of people this time after the

shows and they head down to uh

Mexico Algodones get dental work done

pick up prescriptions buy eyeglasses all

kinds of stuff

now Tyson Wells they brought on the Arts

and Crafts show

for vendors near the end of all of it

have a place to sell

it's not a huge event but a lot of good

vendors stay got some new ones coming in

see some really handcrafted items

then on the left up here still got the

seasonal guys at Tyson Wells

all this ends uh by April 1st

then all the shows are over everyone has

to tear down then

but it's also getting hot

welcome to the desert

cold to hot overnight

all right well let's see here get parked

we'll do a walk around

check out a few of the vendors

then guess what this weekend gold show

or at the qia quartzite Improvement

Association building

we're going to be over there next

walk up and down the aisle see what they

got you'll see some familiar faces but

it at the game store probably but most

you hear anybody that's looking for a

pop-up like this let me know okay send

them over here we're not going to haul

this after we leave here yeah I just I

can't do it

yeah uh talked to kmb he buys a lot of

this stuff yeah okay yeah

selling it

look at this stuff that's beautiful

so this is arts and crafts it's the last

show at Tyson Wells

this booth here is Randy he's been

coming here for over 20 years he's out

of Sacramento

really good guy

they're here every year

they also sell down in Yuma

root Farms

but man you can stock up here huh

all right let's keep on trucking

look at that they're starting to pack up

them guys gonna be out here you know

these vendors when big ones like this

when they go they go in a hurry

they'll be out of here in the day or so

I mean so this show here goes up to

February 12th

but then a lot of these guys will stay

they're allowed to stay here and sell

just like the seasonal Guys across the

street so it's not over this whole thing

doesn't end until about the end of March

that stuff's beautiful isn't it

that's what quartzite's famous for rocks

rocking gems

and everything else

look at all them rocks

need a forklift

so several aisles

funny to shop till you drop

it's fun just to look

something to do in the desert

which has been three or four

then the drill bit guy

and all kinds of free parking you can

either park in the street or down on the

west end of the property here there's a

huge parking lot

and this is a seasonal Market on this

side these guys have been here from

October

through the end of March that's a long

time I did

uh seasonal marketing on this side years

ago

and by about

February March you're pretty tired

seven days a week

a lot of people been up and down these

aisles

pretty successful year I always get

asked the same question is it busier I'd

say it's about average

compared to other years

you never know

some years low up some are a little down

depends on the economy and all that

stuff

hey I know this van up here

that's our beer TV van

which hey March we're heading to Utah

got an event I'll be announcing that

here in a week or so

and look at that

long gone huh

ten days ago there was

thousands of people oh there are V's all

the tents

it's how fast they clean that thing out

of here

it goes straight back to Southern

California they store that big tent

inside of a controlled atmosphere

building

there's another look that's quite a few

vendors for the Arts and Crafts
