we're on central avenue we're going to

head order tyson wales real quick

guess what

the arts and crafts show started it's

the final show of the 2022

winter season

yay

like you're right here on cuen

this is a 10-day show

right here on the right to tyson wells

and it's quite a few of the crafters

arts and craft type people

handmade items plus the regular vendors

it's always a fun this is probably the

smallest show of the three

but it's a fun one

look at the sky crystal clear blue boy

we've had some winds here

i know the entire country's been getting

slammed but

we got a taste of it here too no rain

just nothing but wind

all right let me get parked

we're gonna go cruise around

a little breezy not too bad

i walk down here to the

east end

and a snake we'll sneak up and down a

couple i'll see what we can find

may we even get a vendor to come on

camera yay

this is always the

very interesting that after all the

big events

all the people

you know the town finally calms down

it's really a neat time to be here

plus the weather will really start

getting good here

matter of fact after we walk this let's

go to the big tent plot we'll see what's

left over there

so we got the sign guy he was in the

other shows

you'll see a lot of jewelry people

jewelry makers

t-shirt people

want jewelry there

a little bit of everything a little bit

rocks from the yellowstone river in

montana you're kidding me no

petrified wood

yes oh my goodness walking sticks

tell me about your walking sticks

well they're

russian olive and i cut them along the

banks of the yellowstone river

and

peeled them filed them sanded them and

stained them

and i did 200 of them it took me a year

you took a whole year to build 200 of

them

i bet they're sturdy they're very strong

forgot

what's your favorite rv uh

and sandy does all the

doilies afghan or afghans and washcloths

i think me and maggie's is still here

get you a good grilled cheese sandwich

two or three days ago there was 60 mile

an hour plus winds that

took out some of these tents

it did damage out in the desert people

that were camping in tents out there

i mean 60 miles an hour that's you're

getting up to

tornado speeds

but it was a big win event it lasted for

several hours

you're a dark guy

it's really not arts and crafts but he's

here every year

dog around she's gonna have me down here

some art and getting some art made

over here tyson wells is about the best

place to be

working on one right there yes i'm wood

burning it to give it a 3d effect and

then i paint it

it's beautiful

where do you get your slabs of wood from

i actually will work with ranchers and

farmers find trees i want in their

backyard basically they'll cut the tree

down

i have a seven foot chainsaw i slap it

well that wood burning guy guy's cool he

comes here every year

beautiful stuff he makes small stuff for

uh

to hang in rvs

every year i do a different design so

cool

and then i got the quartzite rock liquor

there you go i also have the american

nomad

silhouette of america with no man across

it

and they're all screen printed

i picked the shirt we screen print it

right here right there huh

cool

it's good to see you bruh good too

you too usually you pick the shirt

and i print it right in front of you all

right pick the color pick the shirt what

row are you in here i'm in oh 14 and 15.

okay but if you're ever looking for me

you see that pink t-shirt up in the air

no matter where i'm at you can see that

from any end

good idea even if i move all right you

oh the licorice guy oh no

more jewelry so this is pretty much what

it is i mean it's this

small booth not a big production but

it's a lot of arts and crafters they

spend their time and money to come here

come check them out

it's a fun little show something fun to

do and it's a lot different than the big

tents and all that stuff

plus you got all your regular uh vendors

like k k up here and stuff

what do you say let's go over and check

out the big 10 block

fits inside the bed like that huh

that's kind of cool

pretty lightweight and everything

all right to the buggy we go we got the

buggy out today

i got to meet quite a few people this uh

winter season this month last month too

sorry february i keep forgetting

kind of cool to meet everyone down here

all right gonna go right up here

the big tent's gone i you can't see it

but

let's go check out the lot see what's

left

the big rv dealer he stays he'll stay

for probably a couple more weeks i bet

yep they still got rvs here

they move from show to show they wait

for other shows to start

imagine have to move all those motor

homes my goodness what a feat that is

okay here's the entrance 700 south

central

they still got the sign up

and guess what it's gone

tens of thousands of people

ought to find out the number they they

normally guessimate a number of their

attendance

be interesting to find out

the town does that too they'll

guesstimate people

how many people visited through a season

kind of looks like a football field with

the green carpet they're they're gonna

pull that up quick too

they're probably waiting for those wind

storms to end

but there it was

yeah now you can still see all the rvs

you know that beer belly's a bar there

at tyson that's still open

there's a little aerial view of the arts

and crafts show going at tyson wells

it'll run to the following

weekend

plus coming up the gold show at the qia

that'll be i think the 11th or 12th

something like that i'll check my

calendar

that's always fun to visit

there's a look there's a good old q

mountain let's peek

see my trailers are left in the desert

well you can see the white dots

there's quite a few a lot of these

people hang clue clear through mid april

because they have nowhere else to go

anyplace else has snowed in yet across

the country

but quite a few have left now

so this is what it's like in quartzite

until oh mid-april

first of may

it just keeps dwindling

until next season

waiting for the heat to hit here

they're saying within a week or so we're

going to be right back up in the high

70s close to 80.

2023.

it's a year-long process there's the

dusty nugget and it is dusty
