NEW LG Artwork, turns your TV into modern art

hi and welcome to the channel i'm paul

the tech giant

and today i want to show you the new

pieces of

artwork that have been added to the lg

art gallery that is available on

selected lg

tvs and i'm also going to show you how

you can download them

for yourselves now for those of you who

are not in the know

the lg art gallery basically turns your

tv

into a piece of artwork and to be fair

it is pretty convincing

now it's easy enough to do so on this

2021

lg g1 all we do is press on the home

button just there

and you get presented with this screen

and then we simply

just move along this apps bar just here

until we get to

art gallery and click on that

and there we go we get presented with

the art gallery page here

and we've got some um artworks that are

already pre-installed

as you can see just there and the ones

that need to be downloaded

obviously have the little download arrow

on them

but the ones that i'm going to

concentrate on today are the

new ones just here which are obviously

say

new in the corner and to download them

it's simple enough all we do is put the

cursor or the arrow on there if you are

using

a magic pointer or you can just use the

directional buttons and then press

on the center scroll wheel there to

download and there you go it's now

downloading those pieces of artwork

now it shouldn't take very long to do

obviously it's all dependent on your

network

speed but as we can see there is 13

pieces of artwork in total

now there's two ways of getting this up

and running we can go down to an

individual piece of artwork and start it

from there but after a few seconds it

will then move on to the next piece of

artwork or we can simply highlight that

theme

press play and it will go through the

lot from the very beginning and that's

exactly what i'm gonna do

right now

well that is certainly a striking piece

of

artwork and as you can probably hear

the tv is automatically playing some

music now we can control this if we so

wish

so we can turn the volume down we can

turn the volume up

or we can actually just mute it

completely so it says a

theme sound on if i just press on the

thumb button

there we go i've turned it off and

something else that we can do

is scroll down so if we press on the

scroll wheel there

push down if we so wish we can select

one of those pieces of artwork

and jump straight into it but i'm gonna

let these rotate through

now something that i am noticing is uh

that there isn't the picture frame that

we have seen on the other pieces of

artwork which seemed to help the

illusion of it being like a picture

hanging on the wall

but still it still looks very good

indeed

and uh this being an lg oled i think it

pulls off

even more than some of the other tvs in

the range

reason being is when you move around to

the side the

picture quality is still maintained all

the colors and things like that

as it would be with a real life picture

if you were to move around to this side

you know you obviously you won't get it

wash them out or anything like that

where some of the rival tvs have done

their own sort of uh

artwork type things and again it's not

so convincing when you see blooming

and when you move off axis and it starts

to wash out

but wow that is uh yeah very nice indeed

very punchy

look at that now just to answer a couple

of

questions now first one

is will you get burning if you

play back this art gallery well no you

shouldn't do because

as you can see the images are constantly

rotating so they're not sitting on there

long enough to uh burn in a permanent

image

now the other question is can you pause

these images

well as far as i know no you can't and i

think that lg have done that on purpose

to stop you burning in the image because

you know it wouldn't look very good if

you sat there all day with it paused on

one piece of art

and uh you know you then turn off the tv

and put it on to something else and then

you find out you still got that image on

the screen oh my god that looks really

really nice i tell what the depth on

that i don't know if that's coming

across

very well on camera feels like you could

actually

feel the paint there on the screen i

like that i think that one's my favorite

yeah real good

3d effect to it and uh

now i'm unsure what models exactly will

be getting this

update but as i've said this is a 2021

lg oled but i'd like to think that most

of the 2021 tvs that do support the art

gallery

will get this update but please let me
