Exploring foreign countries with their diverse nature and culture isn’t always possible. In this video I want to share a list of my 10 favorite travel channels on YouTube with you!
Exploring foreign countries with their diverse nature and culture isn’t always possible - for different reasons. During those times I love watching travel videos - to prepare for an upcoming trip, to get inspired or to simply travel virtually to places far away.
Over the past few years I started following different travel related channels on Youtube and even got the chance to work together with some fellow content creators on some of my own trips. While some channels stopped producing content or decided to head into a different direction over time, others stood out and kept inspiring me with their quality content on a regular base.
I came up with this list of the 10 best travel travel channels on Youtube to follow.
Following you can find all of the channels I featured in this video:

we start this list off with gareth not
just because he's a friend of mine and
we did some trips together
it's because of his travel philosophy
which is similar to my own
and his ability to capture his
experiences in a unique way
when it's all over i've never felt more
[Music]
alive
gareth is doing things differently with
his approach to traveling
instead of visiting a place just for its
sights his goal is to bring more time to
truly understand foreign communities
through the people and culture that
define them
in his travel documentaries he takes you
on his journey to different destinations
where he starts as a tourist in the
country
and transforms into a towny over the
course of a whole video series
especially his latest video series from
russia and the philippines
will have you binge watching
make yourself comfortable select a video
push play and lean back
instead of short travel videos carl's
channel features long travel
documentaries which usually start back
in england at carl's apartment
and make you travel alongside with him
featuring his personal experiences with
all its ups and downs hello
so you've got all these boats here
trying to sell souvenirs to us
instead of fancy hotels infinity pools
and luxury cruises
carr prefers independent travel and
usually figures out his itinerary along
the way
all while sharing his honest opinion
about places
as well as the misadventures that show
the real side of travel always when
you're in hostels you can never
guarantee a good night's sleep i was
sleeping up there and then a couple came
in
and had sex right in that bed just there
you should start by watching his hk2ny
series following his round-the-world
trip
or his series about backpacking central
america
before traveling to a new country this
educational channel is a must in order
to come prepared
geography now covers profiles on every
single country in the world in an
entertaining format one video at a time
there was a panned caribbean party going
on you know jamaica would obviously be
the dj barbados would be passing out the
drinks
little quiet dominica would be reading a
book in the corner but the real fun
wouldn't start until crazy uncle vinnie
pops in he's got the best hookups and
everybody wants to talk to him and his
crew
in his videos bobby mixes basic with fun
facts and gives you all the knowledge
needed for your travels
plus some little known facts you can use
to impress your travel buddies
this town have no direct sunlight for
six months because of the mountains so
they built giant mirrors to illuminate
them
as for videos to start with i recommend
watching an episode of a country you're
keen to visit next
or simply one which covers your home
country
[Music]
if you love traveling on a budget with
friends the budgeteers got you covered
lena thais and paddy are three friends
from different corners of the world who
met each other traveling
on their channel they challenged
themselves to travel a country or region
on a certain budget
one video series at a time being on a
tight budget also means traveling slow
locally and having experiences most
travelers don't get to enjoy
to start i recommend the video series on
sri lanka and central america
which they have been traveling on less
than one thousand dollars each
as a travel youtuber mike has been
around for years and became a good
friend of mine during his time in europe
in 2014.
back then he started to focus more and
more on unique experiences strange
places and crazy festivals we are in san
juan de la vega
in guanajuato mexico and this is the
exploding
hammer festival i've got goosebumps
[Music]
when i visited him in mexico two years
later he took me to some of the gems he
discovered during his time living there
meanwhile he rebranded his channel from
kick to grind to fearless and far as
this is what his videos are really about
this is where the bulls will be spinning
and being lit
lit on fire starting right now
[Applause]
if you are into places far off the
beaten track and love learning about
crazy festivals and traditions
mike's channel is the right one for you
as his well-produced videos are not only
entertaining and sometimes
uncomfortable to watch they are also
educating and shine light on
destinations not many people get to go
to
i stumbled upon drew's adventures first
on instagram and really liked the way
how he reported from his travels instead
of solely focusing on his own
experiences
his goal is to tell a unique story from
each destination he visits
this is wim hof i am the iceman
drubinsky's ultimate goal is to visit
every country on earth
and with his videos he aims to share the
stereotypes about the places he visits
through his short documentaries you
learn more about what life is like in
different parts of the world and you get
to know some inspiring characters

this one is for all the food lovers out
there after graduating from university
mark decided to travel for food and
started making videos about it which
quickly became very popular this meal of
eating all together
is called a bottram and it helps to kind
of lean over
so you can get a lot of food into your
milk
on his channel mark features street food
videos travel vlogs and plenty of thai
food videos twice a week
if you are not hungry yet you'll be
craving food right after watching his
videos
and don't ask me how this guy can be so
thin given all the food he's eating in
just one episode
[Music]
how often do you get inspired to travel
to a destination just by seeing a single
photo on social media well
chances are high that one of those
images have been taken by brandon
who is a full-time landscape
photographer and takes you on his
assignments in his vlogs
from a photo standpoint i think i got
something pretty cool here
looking almost straight up and there's
this beautiful line of light coming down
the canyon
brandon's channel is a great source for
all travelers who are also huge
photography enthusiasts as he shares a
lot of advice and valuable tips with his
audience
not only covering photography but also
the business around it
if you are in for an adventure i
recommend watching his videos from the
annapurna circuit for a start
[Music]
i first heard about johnny through the
videos he made for vox
especially his emmy nominated
educational documentary series called
borders is worth a watch there he
explores the stories behind the lines on
a map
one destination at a time the longest
border in the world is kind of strange
it goes on for thousands and thousands
of miles
in like a straight line and there's a
bunch of weird little details about this
line
on his own channel he shares more
personal videos focused on his travels
and the view behind the scenes looks
now for something completely different
craig adams channel
is a true nugget for every outdoor
loving traveller who is not able to hit
the road right now
as his videos are the closest you can
get to traveling yourself
[Music]
his latest video productions combine
stunning cinematography with ambient
sounds and calming music only
through this style you feel like you are
craig's tracking companion on his
adventures in patagonia
nepal iceland or spain
[Music]
ah
[Music]
if you are urging to be out there and
one with nature this channel is the
right one for you
start out with watching his videos about
torres del paine or because the europa
[Music]
last but not least of course i'd like to
invite you to also subscribe to my
channel if you haven't already
here you can find hundreds of travel
videos from my travels in south america
asia and europe
paired with unique tracking adventures
in places like bhutan
greenland or norway and there are many
more travel documentaries in the making
i hope you enjoyed this video thanks for
watching
