-1/4 cup low-sodium tamari (or soy sauce if not GF, coconut aminos will work too but it’ll just be more sweet & less salty)
-1 tbsp arrowroot starch (or cornstarch) + 1 tbsp water
mix together the coconut sugar and hot water in a small bowl until it’s dissolved. stir in the tamari. set aside. bring a large pan to medium heat. once hot, add ground beef & cook, breaking into pieces until browned. then, add ginger and garlic, stir and cook for another minute. add in the sauce mixture, stir, and reduce heat to low. add in the arrowroot starch slurry and stir. continue to cook until the sauce has thickened. garnish with green onion & sesame seeds. serve over a mix of cauliflower rice & white rice — i added 12oz bag of frozen cauli rice (microwaved) to 1 cup of dry white rice (prepared according to package directions).
