When it comes to nutrition for your dog, you may be thinking that it’s easier and cheaper to just buy a bag of kibble at the store. But did you know that you can make your own complete raw dog food meals at home?
Not only is this a healthier option for your pup, but it can also save you money in the long run. In this article, we’ll show you how to make a complete raw dog food meal that is nutritious and delicious.
The first step is to gather all of the ingredients that you will need. For this recipe, you will need:
1 pound of ground meat (chicken, beef, lamb, etc.)
1 cup of chopped vegetables (carrots, green beans, celery, etc.)
Now that you have all of your ingredients, it’s time to start cooking! Begin by browning the ground meat in a skillet over medium heat. Once the meat is cooked through, add in the chopped vegetables and continue cooking for 5 minutes.
Next, add the raw bones and organs to the pan and cook for an additional 10 minutes. Finally, stir in the cottage cheese or yogurt and fish oil. Cook for 1 minute more and then remove from heat.
Let the mixture cool slightly and then portion into individual meals. You can store these in the fridge for up to 4 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
When it’s time to feed your dog, simply thaw the meal and serve. It’s that easy!
Now that you know how to make a complete raw dog food meal, you can experiment with different ingredients to find what your pup loves best. There are endless possibilities when it comes to creating healthy and delicious meals for your furry friend. So get creative and have fun!

what's up guys i am cam the dog
nutritionist and today we are making a
super healthy extremely functional raw
food recipe this is a complete superfood
super functional recipe you can find all
the ingredients and quantities that you
need in the link in the description
please once your dog has eaten and
enjoyed this incredible recipe do like
and subscribe to the channel because
they're going to be plenty more where
this came from
i'm going to start by putting the meat
in the food processor now today i am
using beef a lean meat this is
approximately five percent fat you need
to account for the fat in the meat that
you're using or the percentage of fat
that you're using because that will
depend on how much natural oil we put in
the recipe
luckily i have
put the variations of oil that you'll
need depending on the fat of the meat
that you're using in the recipe in the
description so beef goes in with the
chicken liver meat's in the food
processor now i'm gonna put the lid on
this time
and turn it on
remember you don't want to juice it you
just want small bits
the reason we want small bits is so your
dog
cannot pick out any of the ingredients
it tends to be that dogs will go for
meat
over vegetables now that doesn't mean
they shouldn't be eating the vegetables
that those those ingredients will help
to complete the diet so it's important
we mix it all together so they can't
pick anything out if they're refusing
this meal refusing to eat the meal that
is more a behavioral issue around meal
times it's got nothing really to do with
the food and more to do with the fact
that they can work you out and they
probably know that you'll replace it
with a different meal or something they
like right as you can see here we have
some big chunks we have some smaller
more minced chunks that's great that's
perfect the vegetables that we're using
are broccoli broccoli is an
anti-cancer food it contains
sulfurophane which is shown to block dna
mutation
and it's also been shown to slow tumor
cell growth this is a functional
anti-cancer food when you think that 47
of dogs are dying from cancer and 90 of
cancers are due to incorrect lifestyle
and environment
what should we be doing as dog owners
well we should be fighting back and
looking at the diets we feed our dogs
and implementing more functional
anti-cancer foods so broccoli in red
pepper in particular raw red pepper
is one of the most dense for vitamin c
content so if you're feeling raw using
raw pepper is recommended
apple
apple contains curcitin a potent natural
anti-inflammatory and anti-histamine
a natural antihistamine it's great for
the summer months for those dogs who are
suffering from allergies i'd recommend
that you try your hardest to use foods
like broccoli and apple which both
contain kerstin over using puriton or
more chemical products there are
frequently ways in which you can use
natural sources to combat very natural
issues
honey is included in that local honey
will help combat your dog's summer
allergies too we're going to be using a
teaspoon of this the reason being
raw vegetables in particular raw green
vegetables like broccoli and kale can
taste a little bit sour
your dog doesn't have as many taste buds
as
us approximately a fifth but the ones
they do have they can taste sweet and
sour so
including
a
a little bit of sweet
will help make the meal more attractive
and it also contains natural digestive
enzymes
these enzymes will help your dog digest
all the goodness that's in the
ingredients
so why not a little bit of support to
help them get all they need from the
recipe
these are pumpkin seeds and again
another wonderful natural functional
food ingredient
pumpkin seeds are a natural dewormer and
if you've been reading the latest
research on
on chemical dewormers you'd be saying
how
bad they are for dogs yes they do get
rid of the worms but they do so many
other detrimental things
they're bad for the waterways they're
just so toxic they're really strong
really toxic so using a natural
alternative
is recommended you do need to crush the
seeds ever so slightly they may get
stuck at the bottom so they won't be
crushed by this by the blades which i
need to put in now
brilliant so i'm going to crush them a
bit in the pot what we want to do is
open up the shells so our dog's gastric
juices can get inside of the seed and
that will work to break the seeds down
if this does not happen they'll just be
pooped out if you're doing this at home
don't use a knife i just couldn't find
the pestle this is slightly dangerous
but
i am a professional
okay crack seeds in
egg
now you don't need to worry about
getting any shell in this because
they're going to be eating the shell
anyway
just crush up
the shell get it nice and crunched i
don't know if i've mentioned but i'm
particularly frugal and that is why i am
not chucking away the eggshell they are
a wonderful source of natural calcium if
you're going to use egg as a calcium
sauce i'd recommend getting an organic
egg just to ensure the quality and also
the quantity is consistent with what the
recipe needs
into the food processor
bosch
the only thing that isn't going into the
food processor is the raw chicken bone
this i'm going to feed outside of meal
times my bone allowance for this recipe
is tends to be one or two raw bones per
kilogram of food you make raw bones are
not dangerous they're extremely healthy
it's cooked bones that you want to watch
out for they're the ones that splinter
they become sharp because the bone loses
its moisture
and those are the ones that can do
damage to your dog's internal organs raw
meaty bones are one of the healthiest
ingredients you can feed your dog give
the dog a bone it's an old truth that we
seem to have forgotten there's a reason
why periodontal disease is one of the
most common issues that affects dogs in
the world and that is because
these are dog's natural toothbrush and
we aren't giving them to our dogs enough
finally we have our mct oil i think i
might have mentioned this before but
the quantity of oil we use will depend
on the percentage of fat of the meat
i've made it really simple for you
your fat will be a percentage maybe 5 10
15 or 20. i wouldn't go over that
depending on the fat percentage of the
meat will depend on how much oil we use
i have accounted for that in the recipe
below if you're using a 20 fat use the
recommended quantity of oil for the 20
fat
same for 15 use the recommended quantity
for 15
and down you go
okay okay are we ready are we ready
in we go
do not turn this into a juice just small
bits that can't be picked out
okay
so the juice that is in there is the egg
of course but mostly it's in small
little unavoidable bits
whack it all in to the meat
and
there we have it we have our mixed raw
complete dog food
which we are now going to put into a
tupperware box you put it in the freezer
and then once defrosted it should last a
week in the fridge this has been making
raw dog food i hope you enjoyed the
video please do like and subscribe for
more videos where this came from
remember to watch the video raw versus
cooked which i'll be linking right now
if you're interested in finding out why
you should be feeding cooked recipes too
