today guys what is happening with this

iptv case how is this ultimate cockroach

still surviving um so let's look at the

service that we're talking about today

so this is a win in court from a company

called ib cap so my understanding is

they are another content protection

company another anti-piracy group i

actually haven't heard of this group now

they've won a 5.7 million dollar

judgment usually that means victory for

us hell yeah let's go celebrate couple

what do these guys drink light beers

right etc but let's go ahead and look

into why it's not as big of a

celebration so there was actually two

involvements here the first was a party

um that owned an iptv company okay

so this was owned by atlas electronics a

michigan-based retailer but also

included in the lawsuit was

i star set set-top boxes so this is a

major supplier of set-top boxes in the

united states and canada i guess all

over the world and

they literally are having trouble

shutting them down for years now and i'm

going to show you why in a few minutes

companies want taking down because these

are one of the more harmful products to

through dish network so when dish sent

them emails telling them that they were

infringing this is how the guy got back

to them on march 24 2017 istar responded

denying the protected channels and it

sent them another email saying bye bye

on november 17 2017 i started responding

by saying you i will keep sharing every

channel

and the last one on december 17 2021 i

start responded stating you i will keep

doing this job

funny like let's be honest it's a little

funny right those are some pretty

legendary responses so that's from i

start now there was the lawsuit

regarding uh what we talked about later

earlier which was the atlas electronics

now that finally went through with a 5.7

million dollar judgment as we know

whether they're ever going to actually

pay it is a bit of a mystery all right

they're using the government okay and

what i mean by that is these companies

these content creation companies they

they levy the government right they

they pour money into these different

politicians in order to make sure that

they can pass laws past legislation all

across the world right they're doing

this everywhere everywhere from the eu

um to the united states to canada right

but in this case this guy whoever owns

istar seems to know some heavy people in

the iraqi government

and essentially those people are keeping

his business open right so they're not

performing so even in a in a letter sent

out from bain they suggested that this

is one of the biggest companies and one

of the major problem threats to them is

this isar founded in 20 2006 by the way

so the one thing that bren and all these

companies used to protect themselves

worldwide and used to continue to uh

keep content away and also

change laws regarding copyright

protection

is what this company is using against

and that is having some sort of

push in the government and that's the

big thing here guys and i want to finish

off by saying content should be

protected there should be some some

copyright laws but there's probably a

line that they're pushing that will go

too far at some point and they have the

money to push it too far so we'll see
