000 IPTV user details have now been

handed over to the authorities in what

has to be one of the largest raids I've

ever read about since being on YouTube

um I actually have this exclusive video

from the police or basically showcasing

what they found we can see those HD

boxes were used to re-transmit recode

restream those copyrighted channels to

millions of users around the world and

here's some of the other equipment that

was also seized in this raid so we're

talking about big money big operations

and they were making millions of dollars

per month with this illegal operation

this news broke today on the torrent

freak website and we can see that the

police are saying this huge operation

targeting IPTV illegal IPTV is still

still ongoing but with some of the

things that they recovered or seized in

this raid they are saying that this

particular operation was serving 900

000 users so lots of IPTV users from all

over the world were taking advantage of

this service and we can see here clearly

they were generating millions of Euros

in monthly profits guys and this is one

of the things I always mentioned that

you have these free streaming

applications maybe they give you access

to some you know free movies or TV shows

but once money gets involved and

typically with these premium IPTV

Services there is some kind of monthly

fee or yearly fee and because of that

fee these guys are now making money off

other people's copyrighted intellectual

property content and once that happens

it's only a matter of time before the

heat comes down the authorities come

down with the big legal budget legal

teams and they just you know shut these

operations down

and we can see one of the the providers

of the content that was being used or

redistributed illegally

and we can see

um many of these Italian internet users

have been growing fond of these uh

pesoto which are basically pirate IPTV

boxes and it's not just you know in

Italy all over the world you know people

don't want to pay full prices for you

know movies TV shows live TV content

anything like that so they're always

looking for cheaper you know

Alternatives and in terms of numbers we

can see that 23 around 11.7 million

people in that country were all

consuming live TV illegally and if we

look at these reports those 900 000

users could be in Italy but more likely

they're going to be all over the world

consuming this illegal IPTV operation

and we can see the operation gotha hit

the IPTV network with those 900 000

subscribers and we can see that the

state police was saying that offices are

engaged in a nationwide operation to

take down a huge IPTV Network

and they said that they began rates in

locations across the country on the

early hours of Friday morning with you

know almost two dozen thousand cities

named as below these ones here so we can

see it was a big operation they targeted

those cities trying to find the source

of those illegal streams so they can

shut the operation down they can seize

the equipment and obviously make arrests

now one key thing about seizing

equipment is not only do they see the

equipment they also get access to the

data so customer data payment data

basically the information that the IPTV

operation was using to conduct its

business so all of that data all of that

information will be taken over by the

authorities that the targeted IPTV

network is vast with early reports

including 900k subscribers serviced

Nationwide and again in terms of numbers

they were making profits actual profits

of millions of Euros per month so I mean

you can see when the numbers are like

that when it's that lucrative you can

see why many of these people take the

risk because the rewards are great so

that whole risk to reward ratio I mean

if they can generate numbers like that

you can see why you know many people

would be engaged in that activity here

we go so you can see that's actually say

here that they did it seize the

equipment and also the website now

typically on these IPTV operations you

do go to you know some website even

though it may not say it's for a

specific IPTV package sometimes it they

advertise it as selling hosting like web

hosting but in reality you are buying

those different packages for your IPTV

now through their website is where

you'll typically be making that payment

so whether you'll be doing through

credit card or debit card or PayPal or

many of the new ones now they do

actually accept cryptocurrency so if you

do want to ensure there's you know

minimal tracing or minimal you know

fingerprints you can use something like

crypto to make sure that your identity

is kept you know as Anonymous as

possible but for the typical user

they're probably just going to pay with

PayPal and get access to that content

and again we can see that they haven't

actually mentioned which of these or

which Services actually been seized but

they have apparently taken over some

websites and they now show you this

warning kind of like what we see with

the MPAA or Ace where they took down

websites for for example you know file

linked or you know some of the other

applications and when they take it down

they leave that Banner on the home page

saying that this website this service

has now been seized by Ace yeah so this

was the video that I just showed at the

beginning so basically just showing you

the kind of equipment that they found

these uh boxes you know these HD boxes I

don't want to say the name in case of

you know this company being a bit funny

but yeah this equipment was being seized

it was seized and we can see the

operation here they were using the

equipment it was then being recoded

redistributed restreamed to the 900 000

subscribers that want you to access this

content at a cheaper price

normally with you know movies and TV

shows that's one thing but where it's

live TV that always seems to be a bit

more sensitive and it's pretty much the

same on YouTube where you may make a

video on a movie and TV show application

but making something which is you know

listed as live TV that always seems to

get a lot more attention and there's

always a greater probability of having a

video taken down if it's all about live

TV and we can just see again What They

seized the equipment that they found I

mean yeah we can see there's a lot of

networking equipment equipment to do

that re-streaming yeah lots of those

different boxes there's terminals to

pass that on so this one of the things I

always mentioned on this channel whereby

if these you know official streaming

services these official TV services if

the price was reasonable I I am pretty

sure that they would attract a lot more

people mainly just for the convenience

that you know they can pay a couple of

dollars they can get proper access legal

access to this content 10 but

unfortunately because the prices are so

high because people have to subscribe to

so many official Services lots of people

do look for cheaper options where they
