this game is called Matt football for
grades two to six you'll need Matt's and
footballs indoor footballs to be great
so you're gonna start by dividing the
gym into two halves and you're gonna
stand up some exercise mats to form some
open areas as the target area for each
team one team on one side the other team
on the other side and you're gonna throw
in a bunch of footballs that are good
for the playing area you're also gonna
want to use some lines as some throwing
lines or you can use cones and that line
will be adjusted throughout the game
it's very simply the idea is the Green
Team will throw it into all the football
to try to throw the footballs into that
area and the purple team will try and
throw their footballs or whatever
footballs are around into that area and
they'll have to throw from the line or
behind the line anywhere not from in
front they can grab a football from in
front and bring it behind the line
that'll work that's that's okay and some
of the rules you'll have two to three
minute quarters and you'll count the
footballs in each Matt after each
quarter to see which team had whatever
points you can add those points up and
you'll adjust the throwing lines maybe
you can move it back after each round
and you can play the game with blocking
or without blocking it's up to you maybe
start blue by without having students
block so just into the open area and
maybe you'll allow a block or two or
more or have an area where they're not
allowed to go too close to the mats
that's all up to you and thank you to
Dan Kirsch for this game idea
