Adidas has changed football forever with
this special ball now we all remember
back in 2010 Adidas caused so much chaos
with the jabou launch but this year's
World Cup ball the alvareela brings a
whole nother level of data to the game
it actually took three years to make so
actually within the ball it's a motion
sensor that provides data 500 times per
second when I read that I thought that
was crazy so for example they'll know
exactly where the ball is at what time
and which player touched it last now
this will be used hand in hand with the
new semi-automated offsized technology
but essentially it will help referees
and VAR make decisions quicker with more
accuracy and hopefully change the game
for the better
