today we're in the stadium check in the
golden technology system to make sure
it's accredited and certified to fifa
quality concept
in this stadium we have 14 cameras seven
cameras in each goalmouth they track the
ball and they can decide whether the
ball is past or going or not the
camera-based decision
comes on the referee's watch
the first method we do for the
goalkeeper test is when the goalkeeper
walks backwards across the line
and then when the ball crosses the line
the system is triggered and we assess
the time delay and also the accuracy
the second part of the method is when
the goalkeeper crosses the line with the
ball close to his chest partially
covered and we again assess the time
delay and also the accuracy of the
system
we're measuring the accuracy of the
cameras and when they actually trigger
when the balls cross the line so we
measure whether it's passed at five
millimeters 10 millimeters or within the
fifa 50 millimeter tolerance
we carry out the referee's watch
assessment to make sure that the watches
trigger in every location on the pitch
on a perimeter outside the pitch so
we're looking at
the linesman the fourth official making
sure they're getting exactly the same
result that the referee is getting on
the pitch
we fire the ball into different
locations in the goal at different
speeds the purpose of this test method
is to make sure that the system is
accurate across the whole goal plane and
we also look at goal and no goal
scenarios so into the side netting over
the roof of the net as well
we use a high-speed camera and we
measure whether the system is accurate
enough under compression of the ball and
we assess with the high-speed camera
whether the ball has crossed the line
and whether the indication on the watch
is accurate enough to be within the fifa
tolerances as well
