why does the NFL care more about soccer
than football because while NFL players
have been asking to switch artificial
turf fields over to natural grass for
years the league and its owners have
refused but this unwillingness to change
playing surfaces suddenly change when
FIFA announced it was coming to town you
see as a part of the 2026 bid for the
World Cup that will be held in stadiums
across Canada Mexico and the US a number
of NFL stadiums were selected to host
matches but FIFA's field standards are
much more rigorous than the NFLs with
the main difference being that FIFA
requires all of his World Cup matches to
be played on natural grass and this
poses a huge problem for six of the NFL
stadiums hoping to host matches each
Stadium that's set to host a World Cup
match is already committed to switching
its playing surface to natural grass to
appease FIFA's requirements so basically
it comes down to this and a fellow
owners know that players don't really
have any bargaining power to make them
change the playing surface in their mind
as the players will complain but at the
end of the day they'll keep playing so
they're not willing to spend any money
to change the fields but FIFA had the
ability to negotiate deals with other
stadiums so if owners wanted that
additional World Cup Revenue they had to
be willing to finally make the switch
and hopefully this results in all the
artificial Fields being permanently
switched to natural grass because right
now it begs a question
