okay
sports and exercise health science is
a group four subject that you can do at
st claire's at both higher level and
standard level it would work really well
with biology
and with psychology and it's a great
real life
science with masses of practical
applications to enable you to really
understand
how you function as a sports person or
just just a normal
human being interacting with society
you'll do subjects such as anatomy
psychology physiology
all within the context of sport one of
the things to sort of bear in mind with
this this
is quite a pure science so being a
fantastic
athlete is an advantage in a sense and
that you've got a natural interest
but it doesn't there is no kind of
practical component in terms of
um sports skill there are practical
components but more of a
sciencey practical so we do some skill
development from a coaching point of
view
we do some uh fitness program planning
and fitness testing but you don't need
to be a level a athlete to be able to be
really successful in the subject what
you do need is lots of energy and
enthusiasm
and willingness to learn
you
