with the Women's World Cup just 23 days
away there is a media day at St George's
park where you get to meet the players
Anton to Louis is with one now Anton
oh not just one of the players one of
the stars of the euro is one of the most
talked about players going into the
World Cup Alessia Russo joins us live on
Sky Sports News unless you look there's
only one place to start obviously we
haven't spoken to you since announced
that you live in Manchester United so
just how difficult decision has that
been
of that I have a lot of love for um
on England camp and we're all looking
forward to the World Cup and getting
really prepared how close are we to
getting a decision about where you go
next and how much did you want to get
all this sorted before because the World
Cup started yeah I think for right now
now I'm on Campbell all my focus is on
England and the World Cup and I think
it's a huge opportunity we've got a
massive summer ahead so it's been a good
week week prepping and yeah all focuses
on World Cup right now how has it been
back in training I suppose it's been
like a mini pre-season and Serena been
put in three Paces the last couple of
weeks yeah it's been good it's nice to
be back on the pitch obviously you train
a bit while you're away after your
holidays so yeah it was nice but to be
back on the pitch and training with the
ball and with the team is is what it's
all about a little bit of drama in
training today when when Alex went down
with that big collision with Georgia was
it the moments like that you're like oh
God that and that happens to us that's
that's a big deal I mean I
unfortunately
yeah they're fine so that's good you're
coming into the tournament England's
kind of starting number nine but you've
got a lot of competition haven't you
yeah absolutely and I think that's what
makes this team so special is that
there's so much competition
um all across the pitch and this week's
been really nice to get out on the pitch
and get get training um and yeah
competing and that's what it's our job
to to be here play football and compete
with each other so yeah it's been nice
to be back you've gone from Super Sub to
Superstar going into this tournament
yourself how does it feel different if
you personally going into this tour
I mean I don't know about that yet but
um yeah I think it's nice obviously it's
a World Cup it's so different to last
summer and I think that we recognize
that as players um and yeah we're aware
that it's going to be different and
we're all really looking forward to it
it's a World Cup it's what you dream
about as a kid no you're surrounded by
all your teammates coming up you've got
a 24-hour flight to Australia coming up
which one of these ones are you going to
try and avoid on that flight
um
well I'm going to be sat with Tooney but
I'm going to avoid Mary because I think
she's just going to want to sleep and I
think I'm going to want a bit of a chat
so I'll just let her crack on and me and
Tony can chat away 24 hours of latitude
sounds delightful I know it doesn't it
couldn't sound better
