Valeria is a talented emergency care doctor. Work in a prestigious clinic in Moscow, her daughter's plans for college—all of this is ruined when, trying to save a drug addict from an overdose, she resorts to extreme measures and fails. The girl's father, an influential man, deprives Valeria of her right to practice medicine as a doctor and is even ready—tit for tat—to do harm to her daughter. Valeria has to move to Petrozavodsk and get a job at a hospital as a nurse, using her diploma from a nursing school. Her objective is to work as a nurse without attracting attention and hiding her doctoring skills. Her goal is to save her daughter.
