Top Football Travel Destinations 2020/2021 - Groundhopping Guide

running through my top

10 travel destinations for football in

2020

slash 2021 all be european based and

hopefully places i can go to in this

time

i'm planning more trips in the future so

hopefully i can get out and see a few of

these places

in no particular order first up is the

czech republic so prague

obviously i want to revisit sparta

prague made two amazing videos there

and i'd love to go and see him again

sparta fans i'm sorry i don't want to

upset you but i do want to go and see a

game at your big rival slavia as well

as well as that bohemians look great

banning costrava as well their fans were

amazing when i saw them away

at sparta prague so to see them at their

home ground i think would be something

i'd absolutely relish

and that's out on the eastern side of

the country and somewhere i'd love to

explore more

they've got that beer and sausage

culture as well at the football oh it's

absolutely tremendous

and some of the some of the cities there

obviously prague and

everywhere else it's really it's a

beautiful country and they've got a lot

of forests they've got a lot of nature

i'd love to go out and see a bit more of

the country as well as watching the

football there as well

poland there's so many cities i don't

even know where to start there's gdansk

in the north there's krakow

there's warsaw they really do have some

amazing looking football teams and their

fans look

absolutely insane and i'd love to go and

witness the ultras out in poland the

passion looks amazing to do with

football and kind of not i suppose as

well

i don't think it's covered enough on

youtube and i'd love to go out there and

make some videos with

people in poland there's a few people on

instagram who have reached out to me to

say to go to their club in poland to go

here to go there

there's a lot of recommendations and i

think there's a lot of people that would

want to see it so hopefully soon enough

i can get out to poland

and watch some football there's also

some really significant historical

landmarks there as well that i'd love to

go and see

iceland one of the lowest covered rates

in europe

so from a practical standpoint it's

probably one of the safest places to go

to

i mean everyone knows the beauty of the

country as well that goes without saying

it's an absolutely tremendous looking

place that i'd love to visit

and they're a bit of an unknown in

football terms and to show people that

would be brilliant i think to see

something yourself for the first time

and to show other people i think it'd be

a great learning experience for me

as much as you guys and i'd love to go

out to iceland and watch the games

i believe due to the cold elements they

have a lot of plastic pictures as well

which is why they have so many good

footballers and that's something i'd

love to explore that's also why the

national team plays such a good brand of

football and it's something that i would

love to look a little bit deeper into

the netherlands one of my favorite

countries in europe

the football is always entertaining i've

never seen a boring game when i've been

there

there's teams i need to visit such as

psv

i would love to go out to groningen i

would love to see az alkamar

fc 20 as well as actually see the dutch

national team play

it is a tremendous country and there's

parts of it that i haven't yet explored

and i'd love to go back there's

basically a huge connection of cycle

lanes all around the country and i would

love to cycle the length

and breadth of the netherlands i do have

a big idea planned for a video there but

that's probably gonna have to wait until

next year

germany so many massive clubs and so

many people have been asking me to go

dortmund munich

cologne saint paulie hamburg leverkusen

schalke rb leipzig hearth of berlin

quite a few people have commented on my

videos and asked me to go to certain

clubs like this

and yeah germany is really really high

up there on the list

not just in football in terms though

germany's a massive country with some

tremendous landmarks and some amazing

scenery that i would love to go and

witness myself

spain i need to get a climate in here

that's a little bit warmer than the rest

there's some places i want to explore in

southern spain seville they do a stadium

tour i'd also love to see them play

i'd love to go to some of the islands as

well spain is just a massive country

with so many great landmarks so many

great tourist destinations as well as

the football

so yeah you've got your giants your

athleticos your real madrid your basses

but i would also love to go and see

malaga seville there is a breakfast of

clubs

i still need to see in spain ireland i

mean i would love to go to ireland and

watch some football probably more famous

for its gaelic football than it's

soccer but in a post-covered world where

it's going to be hard to travel long

distances

i think it would be very practical for

me to go to ireland and make some

content there

as well as the football they have

rolling hills they have nature they have

scenery

that i'm sure would be incredible in a

vlog but they do have some quite good

and well-known teams such as shamrock

rovers who i'd love to go and watch play

and it's obviously english speaking as

well which would make it a lot easier

with getting around and all that kind of

stuff so

yeah islands on the list greece

somewhere i've been before for footy

adventures i've watched power play i've

watched panty onions play i do

need to go and see offi crete at home

the two games i saw offy creek were the

away teams i've actually seen them play

twice just not at their home ground

now that would obviously mean a trip to

crete which i wouldn't moan about

the islands of greece are absolutely

beautiful the blue weather the sunny

beaches

oh my god i would love to go and the

offi creek fans were great they've

obviously seen two of my videos and a

lot of them were commenting saying come

to offy creek so it's

high high high up on my list of

priorities for the next couple of years

there's obviously the big teams

olympiacos panathinikos ak athens i've

not seen

so i'd love to go and see them but as

well as the football i would also like

to go and see the country for its beauty

and its beaches

i was there in january last year and the

weather wasn't too bad it was a little

bit cold but

compared to the uk i mean it was

absolutely boiling ukraine a very

underrated country i'm sure in terms of

football i would love to go to ukraine

and make content i think the fans will

be amazing

i think it gets a bit of a bad rep

sometimes in the press but i would like

to go and experience it as a fan going

out there and show you the good sides of

ukraine and football out there they've

obviously got shakhtar dynamo kiev

to name a few but then there's also

teams along the black sea i'd like to go

and see ukraine isn't all cold and

wintry there are hot parts down the

south towards the black sea that i'd

love to go and see

odessa there's a team there i have to go

and check that out one day it's so high

on my list of priorities

i've also seen a lot of bold and

bankrupt videos on youtube and he does

make that region of the world look very

entertaining very fun indeed

so i'd like to go out there and make

some football related content as well as

that though i'm sure there's loads of

historic landmarks i'd need to check out

whilst i'm there

and somewhere i have unfinished business

on this channel is hungry

it was the country i was in when

lockdown hit and i had to return home to

the uk

about a month earlier than my trip

should have ended when i was there i had

plans to go to a game

which was actually called off a couple

of days beforehand obviously due to the

global situation

i was able to make one video there where

i ran between three different stadiums

but i do eventually need to go back and

actually watch some matches in that

country

i don't feel i got the opportunity to

explore budapest enough as well as the

rest of the country

it is a pretty big one and i would love

to go and see other towns and cities

that there are it is a big major

european city

and um the prices are so affordable but

it's still beautiful and it's still

massive and it's there's still so much

to explore and i have to go back and
