so today we're looking at five game show

winners that made millions now leave a

John Carpenter didn't seem to struggle

once in the whole quiz and he won the

million without breaking a sweat

liked to do was cracking jokes right

from the start and he even answered a

question about pig line in pig latin

just to prove that he could by the end

of it you could tell even the host

didn't know whether to love or hate him

and the crowd felt the same way then

when it was time to answer the question

for a million dollars he pulled the most

insane prank of all basically he asked

for his phone-a-friend lifeline to call

his dad and look like he thought his dad

would know the answer truth is though he

just rang his dad to tell him live on

air that he was gonna win the million

then answered the question correctly by

himself what a legend that's right now

look a little silly too in fact we

really need to cut this guys in slack

winner on the show why well after a ton

of episodes where nobody won they

started adding like $10,000 to the top

prize every time no one took home the

title that meant that by the time Kevin

Olmstead answered the last question

right he had earned over two million

dollars it sounds crazy I know and from

looking at his face you can tell he

thought so too I mean the poor guy

couldn't close his mouth he was in so

much shock and it kept looking around

like he couldn't believe it was

happening to him

the best part was even got more shocked

when he realized that he knew the answer

almost like until then he didn't realize

he could actually win when he finally

did he ended up hugging his grandma so

hard looking like she might break and

even though it's a little funny to see

him go so crazy I've got to admit that

it's also kind of sweet Gottlieb

might seem like an easy game to win

after all the whole thing is about

guessing not answering questions with

that said knowing when to stick to your

guns and when to take the bankers offer

is actually pretty difficult which is

why no one won the four million until

to the banker the whole time and I've

got no idea how she did it but every

decision she made end up being the right

one even though she was completely

guessing she end up with a $200,000 case

and the million dollars the banker rang

up with an offer of over half a million

and the obvious thing to do would have

been to take it with that said everyone

in her family and the crowd was telling

you to go with her gut and she said no

to the Baker basically right away sounds

like a huge risk right well it was

especially since she refused to swap her

case to in the end though it turned out

she was right and she had a million

dollars in her case the whole time just

like magic

reaction that might look a little

extreme but I think you might be one the

most realistic of the lot I mean this

couple on wheel of fortune we're just

trying to win enough money to pay for

their wedding and maybe buy a new puppy

if they were lucky well it turns out

they got way more than they bargained

for and in the super random way like all

the girl had to do was guess the phrase

up on the board and she got it basically

instantly turned out that prize for

answering that question was the highest

possible amount a million dollars so I

don't need to tell you what happened

next just in case you can't guess she

totally freaked out like seriously she

was screaming and hugging her boyfriend

and running around in the confetti so

fast that she was basically a blur not

just that but even the host seemed

surprised because he couldn't get over

how unlikely the whole thing was either

way I'm guessing they paid for their

wedding no problem and probably splurged

on a super expensive puppy as well

I remember the category is around the

house okay if 10 seconds try to talk it

out she's smiling that's a good size

is always impressive if you ask me but

winning against some of the best names

in quizzing well that's got to feel even

better

Tournament is on a whole new level and

it was so hard they only ever did it

once all three guys were doing super

well it all came down to the final clue

which asked which vice president was

elected and served two full terms as

president as it turned out all three of

them got it right but the amount they

won depended on how much they bet on

being correct one of the guys actually

bet everything he had but it still

wasn't enough to catch up to Brad

because his total wins from the day

before were so huge in the end that last

right answer pushed him over the edge

giving him the highest total that made

him the winner of over a million dollars

and even though his reaction was more

chilled out than most people on the list

I'm guessing on the inside he was

totally freaking out you had to risk you

had to risk enough 201 that takes
