So in The mario Movie, lumalee and toad seemed to have something in common even though they’re from a different universe. You see, they both could play musical instruments, had similar facial features like those black bead eyes, they were non-human beings but with human teeth, and both turned out to be psychopaths as well. lumalee hoped that the prisoners and himself would drown in the fiery lava and die, while for toad, he didn’t actually try to help mario when he was about to fall on this scene. Instead, he was just smiling like a psycho and ran away for no reason.
