the field of health science spans
everything from somebody who will engage
with a communication program through to
potentially a medical practitioner or
medical specialists but there are
fundamental things that those people
need to know and that's the basis for
the curriculum in the Health Sciences
program and and the key learning
experiences we wish students to get to
engage with the social determinants of
health so that they have a foundation of
the social perspectives on health
because they are the fundamental causes
of the causes the other aspect that we
really emphasize is is teamwork and
understanding the multidisciplinary
nature and this even goes as far as
individual medical practitioners because
they work in teams and increasingly we
are trying to manage complex chronic
diseases that don't have simple
solutions
