the parks and today is Thursday April

the 18th and I am here at the ESPN Wide

World of Sports

now this is something that is very very

new to me I was looking for something

fun and original to do today something

that I haven't done in a very long time

I haven't been here in I can't remember

how long sorry

an Atlanta Braves spring training game

here a long time ago and that's the last

time I remember being here that was

probably 15 maybe even 18 years ago so

this is gonna be totally new for me

coming through here looks like it's

pretty awesome looks like a lot of cool

stuff in here I don't remember any of it

from being here at all the last time so

this is gonna be fun walking around will

kind of share it together we'll have a

good time I got some people coming on

walkway that kind of heads in here I

know that they have the spring training

stadium here where the Atlanta Braves

are that's obviously where I saw a game

but not quite sure what else is in here

afternoon Camille I always wanted to see

the ESPN 8 ESPN area I'm not gonna be

able to say that all day I'm not gonna

spit that out trust me let's see my only

Disney I've never been there I will have

tons of fun to explore I can't talk

today maybe I should just not talk at

all today Scott haven't been there 15

years well this sounds like a lot of fun

like guys haven't been here a lot of

people haven't been here either so many

Reger get too heavy here Josh always

looks just like a walkway that comes

straight through here and there's a

couple complexes from what I know it's

all pretty much centrally located but it

is spread out from like I think it's

like 200 acres or something some absurd

number but there's all kinds of soccer

fields and baseball fields and all kinds

of practice stuff that goes on so a

bunch of different teams coming in here

high school college they all have like

spring training games and all kinds of

cool stuff that they do here so not 100%

sure what I can actually get into to see

I don't know if I can go into the

stadium if I can go into the buildings

or not but we'll see what we can do

David oh you're here last year that's

very cool maybe you can tell us where to

Disney Dan first time here very cool

welcome Disney Dan alright this actually

looks open so

they probably have some kind of spring

training stuff going on in here see a

lot of baseball caps already

oh this is pretty cool you just come in

here and you can watch watch some games

this is a something I'm definitely gonna

have to come check out I'll even bring

my wife and daughter back here they'd

get a kick out of this but this is

probably high school or college I'm not

really quite sure but hello

it's a beautiful Stadium inside here I

remember sitting right back here when we

saw we're from Cleveland so it was a

Cleveland Indians they were playing down

here as well they were playing the

Braves so that's the reason we came but

I remember sitting down here on this

grassy field

and getting sunburned like crazy we were

like lobsters out here because we sat in

the Sun for nine innings pretty cool

though massive scoreboard really

beautiful out here I mean these guys are

lucky to to come play in a stadium like

this obviously especially if you're in

high school or something you get to come

down here and play some games play some

spring training or whatever they do it's

a really cool experience for them

see Todd the building behind you and to

the right called the arena was built

specifically for cheer and dance

competition

and finished in 27 that's the I'm not

sure it's at now I think it's more in

this direction you can't see it there no

back here yeah this thing this is pretty

amazing

I had heard that this was mainly for

like cheer and dance because they do so

many different competitions and stuff

here but this is basically the the front

area you come right down through that

gate right there I'm actually standing

on top of some little shops in the the

ticket booth and everything is down

there but that's the really cool new

arena that they built I'm sure they hold

concerts and stuff out there as well

there's the parking lot

Joshua and I've been to ESPN Wide World

of Sports but I guess this is the first

time I get to see it in person this will

be the first time for for a lot of

people I guess not really you know when

you come down to Disney you know you're

obviously coming down here for the theme

parks and resorts

you know people that come down here

specifically want to come for you know

their sporting event if they're here

with their school or whatnot or they're

coming to to a brave spring training

game which I believe the Braves this is

their last year here so I don't know if

Disney is bringing in another major

league team or not I don't know if

anybody knows the answer to that out

that's my DBC Resort yeah we usually try

to get there every once in a while a lot

of fun to go there at night

Cammie loves going there so

that crazy guy I saw one game there last

year I'm that grass I was the coldest

night of the year like 30 degrees in

windy trust me I would rather be here on

that night

from what I and then from what I

remember being here like I said we got

sunburned like crazy out here

sitting on this field

but just some levels and stuff that you

can go up here but this is pretty

awesome I mean you I'm definitely gonna

have to come back here and check out a

full game bring back the family they

would love to come just hang out here

and watch some baseball there's some

other stuff going on here too so we're

gonna walk around and see they have like

tennis here soccer all kinds of

different sports obviously the dance and

the chair is really huge here

they have concessions see if I can find

my way back out here we go

just to get away from the parks yeah

like the like the ESPN broadcasting and

all that okay okay that's cool what else

is always there more stuff open down

here yes right down here you got fields

like baseball softball and inside each

be building you've got a small fry

tournement going on oh really

this is where they do kind of like the

media stuff for ESPN it's kind of like

they do like media broadcast for

different teams and stuff it's almost

kind of like you're you're actually on

ESPN but it's a lot of fun for the

different groups that come through this

is the grill this must be a little

dining place here

everything obviously I'm not going to

walk down through all these fields

doesn't look like there's much going on

down here but you can get a massive

overview soccer

different baseball fields down here and

this really wraps all the way around

so my last broadcast I was in 60fps and

it was really choppy so how are we

looking right now hopefully it's not as

choppy as it was we're coming with a

clean signal I haven't seen anybody

complaining about it so I think I'll

stick right here at the the 1080p and

the 30 frames seems to work out pretty

well so they had track-and-field down

here as well big soccer stadium down

Hall welcome I'll be down there on May

23rd bottling Disney a lot of great

skyliner stuff in Rob's store now yes

been putting up some stuff I wanted to

get everything up before I really push

it all out for you guys to see but

modeling Disney has just done some

wondrous wondrous things with the the

sky liner stuff the gondolas so

definitely check that stuff out I'll put

some stuff out on Facebook and all that

but very very cool stuff Frank I hate

from Connecticut

Michael that section of walkway that was

closed off the other day was where they

had filmed yeah it's where they filmed

the the gondola

so I basically missed you know the the

unveiling of that gondola this Orlando

Sentinel was there and obviously Disney

put out their own video but yeah I

thought about that that's why that

walkway was closed off that it was the

gondola that gondolas been sitting there

since months and months and months ago

it's one of the first gondolas they

actually had here on property the one

they showed off it's one that was always

covered with the the tarp over pop

century and that's the one that they

pulled out and they had the sidewalk

closed and that's where they did the

unveiling and let you know Orlando

Sentinel go through it and all that so

kind of a bummer that I didn't get to

check that out but as time goes on we'll

definitely have more experiences and

we'll be able to see more but it's cool

that Disney finally released that video

so we can see the interior and see

actually what it looks like inside and I

think it looks really really cool I love

it even has a little skyline or tag on

the inside as well it's a little

skyliner nameplate so very very cool

Modelling Disney been making a list of

goodies to purchase for me I mean for my

boys yeah definitely there's some very

very cool stuff and they're really

awesome stuff also check out Modelling

Ride the Haunted Mansion the castle

stuff like that I can check him out of

modeling Disney comm there's also some

stuff on the website as well

guy so be sure to check all his stuff

out we're gonna head inside in this

building over here I guess there's some

kind of a

like a peewee basketball tournament or

something going on in here

quite sure if we can get in there we'll

arena in here I truly did not realize

everything that they have going on in

team and they are in Atlanta

tribe though

how the lighting rigs so very a very

multi-purpose area

well this is definitely a good change of

pace from hanging out in the parks

especially if you're just a sports fan

in general just heading here you can

check out some games you can kind of

bounce around from game to game if you

want you watch some baseball some

basketball

head down on the soccer fields this is

kind of a cool view you can actually see

the the Tower of Terror in the distance

and the the top of the dolphin to see if

I'm assuming that you get to see that

that's pretty awesome it's one great

thing about Disney property is there's

always views very cool views of

different things going on this would be

a nice spot even if you're sitting here

watching maybe a night game you'd be

able to see the fireworks coming up from

Hollywood Studios in Epcot you probably

even see the Magic Kingdom ones in the

distance

Todd that used to be the training

facility for the Harlem Globetrotters

several years ago no more though that's

I didn't know that that was that would

have been written sweet

I love the Harlem Globetrotters I saw

them one time and that was extremely

entertaining to watch them Theresa I was

just there in February for twirl mania

yeah that's got to be the kind of stuff

they they hold here cheer dance twirling

I'm not quite sure what the twirling

would be what torille mania is but it

sounds like something that would fit

into that category

Josh a amazing view of the the Tower of

Terror down there Victoria that's so

cool personalized of basketball yeah I

really like that idea this guy you love

watching all the videos thank you for

Theresa yeah it was super crowded yeah I

know once you get a lot of the cheer and

the dance especially in the all-stars I

mean there's like thousands of people

that come down when you know they have

these competitions and stuff a really

really big here for that which is which

is awesome I mean once-in-a-lifetime

experience sometimes when you come down

and you get to perform in these kind of

arenas these kind of stadiums you know

it's definitely nothing like you're

going to do in high school

this is the ESPN grill wow this is like

a full-fledged restaurant here this is

pretty cool

there's the grill Express

it's like they got some drinks or some

pizza I'm sure for different events they

have more stuff more food looks like a

lot of different places to order food

over here but you can kind of come in

here and there's all kinds of different

screens different games going on

we got the freestyle machines over here

that's cool

nice big screens you can check out

whatever game there's my Cleveland

Browns right there look at that
