I get something I get get prepared I'm
not alone today I'm actually doing a
collab collab it's like a youtuber you
are my first collab just told him that
he's my first club in Los Angeles or in
the States
I think I might be wrong well I'm
honored I'm honored to be a collab this
is Paula hi I'm from the paultalks
channel youtube.com slash paul roth PA
you el are oth don't be down there and
up there anyways today we're talking
about applications on the phone so let's
just get started they're gonna be about
mostly travel and productivity because
that's what my channel mostly is about
yeah sure so yeah let's started this
conversation was I showed Josie a app
that I used for traveling all the time
called citymapper and the and the point
of this app is that whatever large city
that you're in you can tell this app
that you want to get to a particular
place whether it's a specific address or
a landmark so you could say for example
I want to get to the LACMA the Museum in
Los Angeles and you could bet in here
and it'll tell you a bunch of different
variety of ways of getting there it'll
tell you if you want to walk there if
you want to if you want to take an uber
there if you want to take the metro
there and it'll suggest for you the best
method which is generally the fastest
method to get to that place and then
once you launched it as you like
traveling from here to there
it'll keep track of where you are and
you'll tell you what the next step is oh
okay so I get your I yeah it's very
smart to like if you're on a train and
you have to like get off at a particular
stop it'll say hey your next stop is
coming up please get off there whoa let
me present to you wonder list or in
German windows oh no Jeremy's watch
anyway so it's basically an app for
tasks and goals go coding and I've just
been using this forever I started using
it on my laptop and you have an account
so it syncs with your laptop whatever
device you have it on so it's called
Wunderlist
and it makes the most Hutus fighting
sound when you complete a goal I mean
let me let me demonstrate I got a little
list over here and now I'm gonna keep
going it's a great organizational app
for it goals and tests always use that
one I'm gonna pack stuff and I'm gonna
shoot stuff whatever I am doing always
use it it works get it
oh yeah well in competition with that
I've got my own path okay mine is column
habiddig up but I like Helvetica because
it's like a role-playing game for debt
for taking care of your tasks okay cast
apart a car split up into three
different things your habits so the
other thing that you all have to do at a
particular time if you'd like to do them
your daily tasks so something you want
to do every day but sometimes you forget
you put it in your daily list and then
your two dues so for example in my two
dues
I have collab with Josie Wow so since
I'm doing that when I complete my task
of collabing with Josie I do this and
there's lots of different themes for the
different tasks so it's like seven or
eight different themes you can choose
from some of them are really like like
arcade game themes some of them are
fancier so I also had lunch and that's
one of my dailies is to remind myself to
have lunch so that looks okay
[Applause]
I do forget this one's called loon Fox
Oh
[Applause]
I love that this is easy to it just and
it's called habiddig uh there's also
video the website that is things up with
just like you're one of the most so
you've been no habit calm and do
it on your desktop so another app in
productivity it's something that I use
for goals that has to do with numbers
it's called a happy goals you swipe to
the left and right every time you gain
something get closer to something or get
farther away from something homie so you
get some confetti when you reach hundred
percent so I mostly have subscriber
goals and my first YouTube paycheck with
which I just got so when you reach under
percent confetti over the screen and
you're just five right and left it's
pretty cool neat it's called happy goals
happy goals and you can choose the
stepper if it's one to ten hundred I
don't know it's just a simple little app
for number goals use every day I
sometimes stress out about reaching my
goals and my tasks so what am i I
considered a Productivity app because it
helps me to relax and get that stress
under control and it's literally called
calm oh I think I've heard about that
yeah and I use it and I love it because
it's another thing with that has a
variety of different themes and the
theme I like is the beach that's
gorgeous
so this is literally just to help me
like calm down if I'm having a specific
panic attack or stressful time I'll turn
this on and I'll just watch it and
listen to it for a little while but it
also allows you to do guided meditations
so there's a meditation option as well
and then the last thing that it can do
is it's like an option to sleep with it
so it'll like slowly make it darker and
darker and quieter and quieter why a lot
of does next to you bet that's cool yeah
so a simple app is called bin Ven
basically a world map and you take off
the places you've been at and it starts
filling up so that plane is that you've
been in the world they turn orange
instead of gray so it's basically one of
those Maps you haven't can have in your
room on the wall and you put pens for
you to always have it with you and your
phone just think it's fun to look at you
can download it and you can share it on
Twitter whatever you want to do it's if
the world map there's the states in the
US I just got a new one and just got
Greece I just got Rhys and soon I'm
gonna be getting Indonesia so yeah it's
just fun it's just a simple app it's
called been just a map that's my next
app that I want to talk about is a
Productivity app that helps me a lot as
a youtuber I'm always on the go but when
I posted a new video I liked like push
that out to my social media channels as
often as possible so I use an app called
buffer and you connect it up with your
different social media channels so I've
got it connected to my Google+ my
Instagram my Facebook and my Twitter and
so you can do it you can use it one of
two ways you can either manually decide
that I'm gonna push a particular post to
any of those four channels or all four
of them at the same time at a specific
time of day that you manually choose or
you can actually ask the buffer based on
my location in the world one of the best
times of day need to poach out like for
Instagram posts in this day to get the
most views or like seven views seven
weeks ago posts in a day or two votes it
and buffer will actually go through its
statistics and I'll tell you what time
of day you're gonna get them both of you
yes all your apps are so great
I'd eat them it's useful that's release
all this recommendation I'm gonna give
you now it's actually pretty it's Google
Maps wait for a second people I think
people overlook it because I've got the
price I'll confuse people are and how
they don't use it I use Google Maps all
the time if you go to my google map
you'll see I got stars everywhere yeah
me too oh you do okay perfect so you're
here you get it I do get it I'm a person
that has different lists everywhere
where I want to go what I want to do and
I forget where these lists are so I feel
like Google Maps is a place you can just
go and the Stars will always be there
you know you have everything in one
place yeah so just using the starring
system and the different categories that
are in Google Maps it's just such a
lifesaver to me
the nice thing that I like about the
starring on Google Maps is that you can
actually give yourself different lists
of things yes so I have a list of like
places to go in general then I have a
separate list of like vegan and
vegetarian restaurants I want to go to
and then I have another list of like
things for like a instagramming and
that's amazing definitely using it I'm
definitely using it great if you start
doing it you're not gonna stop okay
since that was a very common app I'll
just go with another one right now and
this app is called worldpackers it's for
traveling and this is gonna change your
mind about everything now umm
worldpackers is a site that i found i
just downloaded the app so i haven't
really been on the map on that a lot but
we're all packers it's basically a way
if you want to travel the world and you
don't have a lot of money and you just
want to immerse yourself in the country
and the people they got work exchange
thank God let's see an echo program you
get to live in farm villages you've got
social impact you can volunteer so it's
both work so yeah you get to live
there they got like healthy for you and
you just choose what field that you can
help out and like I do social media
stuff like that so let me match you at
someone and it's a bunch of stuff and
it's just mine going to me can choose
how long you want travel for a little
bit for a long that's awesome yes I'm
definitely gonna the app looks great I
just use the website for now but the app
looks absolutely amazing something I've
got to do something like this that's
cool maybe a coming travel adventure
worldpackers I don't have one more act
to talk about and it's another kind of
basic one a lot of people know about
this particularly if they like creating
videos on the go and it's the Adobe clip
app so Adobe obviously they make
Premiere Pro which a lot of the
youtubers use a lot of videographers in
general use they have a very very cut
down minimal version of it that you can
use on your device for free it's a free
app and it's called Adobe clip and you
can use it to connect with your creative
cloud account online so you can sync
your projects your video projects online
if you want to but I basically just use
this with all the video footage the
b-roll and stuff and some photos that I
take on my camera phone throughout the
day as I'm going throughout my vlogging
days I can just combine them all into a
video and there's a very simple jump
cutting kind of cutting and clipping and
and you can have it do things like if
you give it a music soundtrack and a
bunch of clips you can try to
automatically figure out how to best
make the the photos and the audio match
up according to the beats of the audio
yeah it's good to tell on your phone if
you want to do like a little preview
somewhere on social media they just yeah
just have your phone if you want to if
you want to try this you can also have
it finish the render and then
automatically upload to your YouTube
account this is great like for you guys
who want to start a channel looking to
do it this is a great way to start the
apps free I haven't checked
really good no I was free just just do
it I will give you like one warning
though about Adobe clip and that is that
if you leave the project files that
you've worked on on your phone it takes
up tons of space yep so I highly
recommend I after like three or four
videos that you've made just like delete
the entire app redownload it and I
started over again because like
literally that I'll clear like 35 gigs
of files for my phone a big yeah that's
funny you just keep deleting it I'll
squeeze a little other app in here
it's called peak this is more for
education and learning but I just found
it it's a way to train your brain
there's little workouts and exercises
everyday for problem solving and memory
and all of that it's just so much fun I
can't stop using it you go to the app
and it tells you today's your workout
yeah I think you have one every day and
then you can do little games in there
and it definitely gets your brain going
and it's so cool to feel like you're
actually doing stuff your brain is
actually working so yeah that's just app
I just found but I should definitely
recommend it you should try it some of
it train the brain yeah although it
tells you like you're doing nine better
than 95% of our using it's called peak
that sounds great because they're
definitely day that's when my brain is
slower than other days well I think
that's it that's it guys I would love to
hear about recommendations if you have
any trouble productivity creativity any
app that's just mind-blowing let me know
yeah and go over to Paul's channel now
yeah we're gonna do the lab on my
channel as well I'm gonna find out some
stuff from the Swedish perspective I'm
gonna have some questions we'd write
here I think that's it until next time
venture out livery dream today today
also click that little button that'd be
nice ok bye
Los Angeles be quiet
oh it's closer now are they chasing some
way through your neighborhood
