trophies while helping your country to the  final stages of the World Cup. Achraf Hakimi  

has already cemented his place as one of the  greatest right backs in the world. Let’s find  

out more about his lifestyle away from the pitch. The path to Hakimi’s success story began in the  

most unlikely of places. In fact, the player,  whose parents are Moroccan, was born in Madrid,  

Spain in 1998. Hakimi's parents were Moroccan  migrants who arrived in Spain before he was born,  

seeking a better life for their family.  Though moving to a new country can provide  

opportunities, it is only one step  in the journey toward a better life.  

His family struggled financially when he was  a little child. His father, Hassan Hakimi,  

was a street vendor and his mother cleaned homes.  As the oldest of three siblings, understood the  

importance of providing for his family. In order  to secure their financial future and include them  

in his career, he knew he had to find a profession  that would not only provide for them, but also  

offer opportunities for them to be involved. It  was then that he turned to professional football.  

In 2006, hejoined the Real Madrid youth set-up.  His father Hassan used to drive 100 kilometres  

every day to take his son to Real Madrid. He  did so because he believed in his son and that  

he could make it as a footballer. But Achraf Hakimi’s career was not  

as smooth sailing as many thought it to  be. As a youth product at Real Madrid,  

he was given the opportunity to train at one of  the world's top clubs, with access to top-notch  

facilities. A natural right full-back,  Hakimi also had a keen eye for attacking,  

and his talent did not go unnoticed. In 2017,  he was promoted to the first team, where he was  

initially used as a backup. Despite this, Hakimi  continued to develop his skills and impress with  

his performances. He played in his first senior  match on October 1st, 2017, as a starter in a 2-0  

home victory against Espanyol. A moment that made  Hassan Hakimi and his family incredibly proud and  

emotional. Hakimi went on to achieve success at  the club in his first year becoming the first  

Moroccan to win a UEFA Champions League medal. Real Madrid saw potential in Hakimi and wanted  

him to continue developing his skills,  so they encouraged him to go on loan  

to Borussia Dortmund. The man keeping him  out of the starting lineup, Dani Carvajal,  

also encouraged him to take the opportunity.  At 19 years old, Hakimi decided to take the  

advice and move to Dortmund on a two-year loan  where he played in 54 games and scored 7 goals.  

Playing for a team that consistently challenged  for the title, he was often in the spotlight. In  

May 2020, during a match against SC Paderborn,  Hakimi scored a goal and celebrated by removing  

his shirt to reveal a message of support for  George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement.  

This gesture showed that Hakimi was not just a  talented footballer, but also a man of principle  

who was willing to use his platform to speak  out on important issues. His actions earned  

him the admiration of many and solidified his  reputation as a leader on and off the pitch.  

One of Achraf Hakimi’s admirers was his  now wife, Hiba Abouk, who he met while  

in Germany. He was 20 at the time  while she was 34. The couple fell  

instantly in love and married two years  later. They have two children the first  

being born in 2020 and the second in 2022.  But Achraf Hakimi didn’t fall in love with  

Hiba simply for her glamorous looks. He was a  big admirer of her talents as an actress. Hiba,  

who is of Tunisian and Libyan descent  and like Hakimi was born in Madrid,  

starred in various TV series and also modeled. Their mutual sense of admiration and respect grew  

as the days went by and their love and respect  for one another can be seen in this October’s  

Vogue Arabia magazine as the two appear on the  cover. The couple has such a deep love for each  

other despite the significant age gap. In the  early stages of their relationship, there was  

a lot of traveling done by the pair as Hiba was  based in Spain and Hakimi in Germany but they  

sacrificed their time and energy to make it work.  The North African actress eventually relocated to  

Germany and their relationship blossomed. The  married couple now reside together in Paris.  

But before their move to Paris, Hakimi was  involved in a major summer transfer that saw  

him leave Madrid again for the stylish city of  Milan. He joined Inter Milan for a fee of 40  

million euros at the age of 21. Hakimi made  37 appearances for the club scoring 7 goals  

and became an Italian league winner. But due  to financial issues at Inter, the Milan club  

was forced to be in selling mode and that’s when  Paris Saint-Germain popped their heads and signed  

the talented full-back for 68 million euros. So far for the Paris side, Hakimi has scored  

7 goals and is part of a world class squad that  includes the legendary Neymar, the goal machine  

Kylian Mbappé and perhaps the greatest player in  the history of the sport in Lionel Messi. Hakimi  

also achieved another milestone by becoming  a French league winner. Hakimi still manages  

to find a way to play his football and to  be influential both on and off the pitch.

In July 2021, Hakimi secured his future by  signing a lucrative contract with PSG. Under  

the terms of the agreement, he will earn  a minimum of 8.2 million euros per year,

He also has a collection of luxury cars  which includes an Audi Q7, a Range Rover,

bling. He’s also a charitable person. Back in May 2021, Achraf Hakimi took to  

Social Media to declare his pride at being  nominated as a ‘Champion of Children’s Rights  

by the Moroccan branch of the charity UNICEF. At just 22 years old, Hakimi was recognized for  

his dedication to improving the lives of  children around the world. He was chosen  

by a global charity to serve as an ambassador and  participate in initiatives to raise awareness and  

support for children's welfare. In this role,  he will join other prominent figures from the  

worlds of sports, music, and academia to make a  positive impact on the lives of young people.  

He posted on Instagram, with the  caption that he is very excited  

about his nomination from UNICEF as a Champion  of children’s rights and that he will support  

his efforts in the promotion of rights. Achraf Hakimi grew up in humble surroundings  

in Madrid, and his parents did everything they  could to support him and his siblings. His father,  

Hassan Hakimi, drove hundreds of kilometers  to help his son achieve his dream of becoming  

a professional footballer. Despite facing  challenges, including being let go by Real
